0:51 that lady is very famous known for her kalguksu and she was there in netflix and the it was a food show called street food and she was in the korea video
5:15 Mina when you enter the hanbok market. When i saw inside of it, it made me cry. That is the same hanbok market i went to in 2003 and got my 1st one. It was the one my grandparents saw me in. Theu have both passed away now. I miss them so much. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I've watched your videos for YEARS and finally I'm in Korea! I can't wait to go try out food at some of the markets you've visited and explore this wonderful country 💚
the lady making kalguksu was featured in Netflix series called "street food"!! she has an interesting life story!! i just realized this, rewatching your vlog : ))
I have been watching you for years and I can't believe I am finally studying here in Korea and I can just take a subway to the places you have introduced. It is just very nice. Thank you for sharing!
I actually remember that on a Country food for a project, I choosed South Korea and for food I choosed Bibimbap. I've finally made a connection with my fav RUclipsr! :D
When I have thought about Korean food...I always thought about their culture...taste and how colorful their foods are...so yummy...thanks Mina for the videos
your Korean vlogs are all I watched today! and I really enjoyed them and the way you got around the markets and trying out the street food was legit! and that is why I am subscribing! 😊
Aw, I was looking for an eating-partner to come and try Bibimbap at Gwangjand market u_u If you wanna go back for some other dish, I would love some company^^ -G
I was in Gwangjang Market myself August 8, 2016. Many food stalls. I settled on lunch from the food stall in the middle intersection, ordered haemul pajeon, and took back to my hotel to eat. Very good. I wanted to go back for another visit, but my vacation only lasted 8 days, so many things to see, such limited time.
I just happened to run into your videos, this is the 2nd one I've watched and I can't wait to watch more! I love that you're sharing your culture with us, and your journey to try different things. I just realized that you gave a description of items in your comment section, but it would be GREAT if you explained what the Korean items are as your walking along. For instance, when you went into the market that has all of the material and fabrics, you said you can get custom "hombok" made? What is it? And again, thanks for the amazing videos!
I'm like on a binge watch of all of your videos.. dude!!! You are awesome and I can't afford to go to Korea but I am the biggest korea fan ever. Love the videos!!
Bibimbap is so delicious! Sadly, I can't get all the "traditional" ingredients where I live now but I make my own with other ingredients available here. As long as you have sesame oil and gochujang, it tastes pretty similar and it's SO GOOD! ^^
Professor Oh, i am getting more and more fond of your videos. Love this food adventure. When I get the chance to visit SK, I will try those eumsig at the sijang and other places. Gonna bring my family with me
Hey Mina I'm new love your videos it is so kind of you that you show us your experience in Korean food and other stuff btw the lady was so kind that she held your camera while you were eating hope you reach 100000 subcribers
Just a comment for a video filmed so long ago. This is superb and so well done as it seems random and personal (which means a lot of work on your part with editing) - and so unlike the recent Iceland look book.
WAAAAH THE LADY SERVING AT 0:51 APPEARED IN THE NETFLIX NEW DOCUMENTARY "STREET FOOD" Sorry for my excitement I just enjoy that documentary and I really want to taste her food 😂😂😅
This market looks amazing! I was drooling watching you walk pass all the food stalls. Will definitely check out this market when I'm in Korea. Thank you :)
Its normal in Korea and most Asia countries. Maybe weird in westerners's eyes. Dont need to say its gross tho. Just because your country's culture doesnt have these things.
Thanks for appearing in my feed, u have a new fan! cant believe I missed this market (I think not 100% sure) when I was in Seoul ages ago 😭 Btw what's the random slap ? 😂
was there something actually wrong with the food? or was it not good because maybe you don't appreciate flavors you're not used to eating? Even so, theres a hundred different shops in there. Maybe you chose the shitty one because you don't know what you're doing in there. Don't badmouth an entire market because you ate a bad piece of fish. Its food. Those things happen sometimes, especially when eating streetfood. Thats the gamble. Stick to Burger King if you want it your way.
There’s a cool hidden gem of an import clothing store it’s all retro American vintage stuff! I think on your route 4 in the video upstairs. It’s so awesome I loved Gwangjang Market!
I'm American and route and root are homophones for me too. I think it's a difference. She's from the West and I'm from the Southeast. She also says roof much differently than I would. But it's not uncommon
lol yeah I thought it was strange at first, but its all the same really. It's hard to find paper towels and napkins cause in Korea they use toilet paper instead
+Suiren Kamiya yah your right.. unlike in india.. some of the streetfoods wrapped in the old news paper... so id rather use toilet paper instead☺😇 toink
not saying in the sense its dirty or something, its just that, that most unusual use i could think of toilet papers. besides, paper napkin might be cheaper.
0:51 that lady is very famous known for her kalguksu and she was there in netflix and the it was a food show called street food and she was in the korea video
Meharr Kundu yes!! Her story was so sad yet inspirational!
Omg ik, I wasn’t sure tho
Was gon a comment that!
5:15 Mina when you enter the hanbok market. When i saw inside of it, it made me cry. That is the same hanbok market i went to in 2003 and got my 1st one. It was the one my grandparents saw me in. Theu have both passed away now. I miss them so much. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

True! That’s something I struggle with back then since I used an iPad. But now that I have a gorilla pod, it’s much more stable. 🙂
If I haven’t eaten for a day, but I’ve watched Mina’s video, I would have a satisfied stomach
I'm prepping to go to Korea in March next year. Great thing I found your blog! I'm literally taking notes here! Lol!

I just happened to run into your videos, this is the 2nd one I've watched and I can't wait to watch more! I love that you're sharing your culture with us, and your journey to try different things. Bibimbap is so delicious! Sadly, I can't get all the "traditional" ingredients where I live now but I make my own with other ingredients available here. As long as you have sesame oil and gochujang, it tastes pretty similar and it's SO GOOD! ^^
Please help me i am addicted to this. Wich recipe is a good one to use?
Professor Oh, i am getting more and more fond of your videos. Love this food adventure. When I get the chance to visit SK, I will try those eumsig at the sijang and other places. Gonna bring my family with me
I love bibimbap. When I'm too lazy, I only make like four veggies and fried egg. I don't put meat in it.

Yay. More gimbap. The drug gimbap at Gwangjeong market is the best kind.
when I saw jeon alley, I thought of jeon jungkook lolol
Jungkookiee😘
I immediately thought of this: TAKE THE WORD PAN FROM PANCAKE. NOW YOU HAVE CAKE. CAKE IS SWEET, WHAT ELSE IS SWEET? JUNGKOOK
Seems yummy but why mostly the food's not covered?
ikr, it kinda looks like gross
Its normal in Korea and most Asia countries. Maybe weird in westerners's eyes. Dont need to say its gross tho. Just because your country's culture doesnt have these things.
Dao Gia Vy cannot agree with you more haha
Because whatever leaks and comes out of plastic in the hot weather in asia is more dangerous than air microbes Lol
Wow don’t say mean things or disrespect another culture.
Please don't cut the videos, I love and enjoy every single second of it and just wanna see everythingggg
You have beautiful skin.. your makeup enhances it

I had a bad experience there... the food was not delicious and so expensive as well
was there something actually wrong with the food? or was it not good because maybe you don't appreciate flavors you're not used to eating? Even so, theres a hundred different shops in there. Maybe you chose the shitty one because you don't know what you're doing in there. Don't badmouth an entire market because you ate a bad piece of fish. Its food. Those things happen sometimes, especially when eating streetfood. Thats the gamble. Stick to Burger King if you want it your way.
+Broken Jesuit 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 fr
Sounds like you only like cheeseburgers and fries. Rude to talk about Korea
There’s a cool hidden gem of an import clothing store it’s all retro American vintage stuff! I think on your route 4 in the video upstairs. It’s so awesome I loved Gwangjang Market!
I got annoyed at how she said route bc I’m Australian grrr lmao. Australians say it as root. Route and root are the same pronunciation
I'm American and route and root are homophones for me too. I think it's a difference. She's from the West and I'm from the Southeast. She also says roof much differently than I would. But it's not uncommon
I really love your clip...you showed to me the ordinary Korean market..thanks.
Korean food looks soooo good but I hate veggies 😞😞 so I'm just sad.
nugget_ princess never heard of Korean bbq ?
Looks so yummy, ugh I want to reach over and buy a bowl....drool*
bibimbap is fine, but wiping mouth with toilet paper..... :-|
lol yeah I thought it was strange at first, but its all the same really. It's hard to find paper towels and napkins cause in Korea they use toilet paper instead
Lol its not like its dirty. Its still paper
+Suiren Kamiya yah your right.. unlike in india.. some of the streetfoods wrapped in the old news paper... so id rather use toilet paper instead☺😇 toink
not saying in the sense its dirty or something, its just that, that most unusual use i could think of toilet papers. besides, paper napkin might be cheaper.
grab a fish n' chip in London. You can swallow half a jar of ink and a Marmaduke comic with your cod instead

My sister and i will be in Seoul next January and can't wait 😭😭 one of my biggest dreams is visiting Korea
