KOREAN HANWOO BEEF - The King of all Korean Beef is from the Hanwoo cow, a cow native to Korea, and prized for its amazing meat. I had the special opportunity along with some friends to eat at Born & Bred, a butchery and restaurant that deals the best Hanwoo beef in Korea, and serves the best Korean beef in their elegant restaurant. It was a life-changing beef experience. #KoreanFood #hanwoo #Seoul

Majang Meat Market - The biggest meat market in Seoul, and responsible for dealing most of the meat that’s consumed throughout Korea, is the Majang Meat Market. It’s a very cool market to visit when you’re in Seoul. I wasn’t interested in eating anything since I knew what was to come, but I did enjoy looking at the amazing met cabinets, and also checking out the original Born & Bred.
Hanwoo Beef Omakase at Born & Bred - Born & Bred, the newly opened restaurant is this massive, designer brand clothing looking, restaurant that serves the best quality Korean Hanwoo beef you can get in the entire world. They have a number of different floors offering different beef experiences, but the top is the basement speakeasy where the owner offers a omakase Korean food meal. Using only his selections of Hanwoo beef, he grills in front of you an amusement park of Korean beef.
The meal was phenomenal, and it was all you can eat Hanwoo beef, so there was no not leaving stuffed. What I loved is that we had many tastes of many sections of the cow, some just grilled straight, and others prepared the real Korean food way, with pickled kimchi and lettuce wraps, yet using the ultimate beef of all beef’s.

hanwoo is the best beef i ever tried.. even better than wagyu. wagyu might taste better some days, but hanwoo is consistently amazing

@@doryfishie2nope, plenty of good chefs who do this. Look up Jiro. Makes the best sushi and most of the time he’s there at the helm serving the people themselves and always present to analyze the peoples faces to know how to tailor the experience towards them. Glad to see how naive you are.
I've had the pleasure to try Hanwoo beef on several occasions and it truly is better than wagyu, which is originally a cow from the Korean peninsula. Hanwoo isn't exported so many people do not know or understand how good it is. It's far superior to the mostly all fat Kobe, which you can't eat a lot of because it's too fatty and rich. Hanwoo is much more meaty and with it having more meat content, you can actually enjoy it and appreciate its beefy characteristics, while being uniquely succulent. Hanwoo is the best beef I've never had. It's remarkable.

You don't have to eat a5 wagyu...i'd bet the lower grades with less fat would be similar to the best hanwoo. hanwoo is just a domestic breed of cattle. quality and taste would depend on its grade.

The most impressive moment in the video, for me, was the respectful and thoughtful manner in which Mark very discreetly stopped the filming while the owner was asked about his own beef preferences. Mark's good natured decency is every bit as apparent as his charisma on camera. It matters...

Devan Calistyo I can (explain), as it was my comment that spoke of Mark’s respectful good nature. The dude sitting next to Mark blurted out the question, asking the chef if he still liked eating beef. Blurting that out on camera caught Mark off-guard, and Mark obviously (and rightly, in my opinion) didn’t want to put the chef ‘on the spot’ and set him up to answer a question that Mark never intended on asking. Mark was a gentleman. Mark didn’t ask the chef that question. The other dude was a bit crass, and Mark clearly didn’t see the need to tape that segment. If that was an important question, Mark would’ve asked it himself. Mark understands nuance and erred on the side of decorum. The other dude put the chef in an awkward position. It may have not been a big deal for the chef, but Mark is mature enough not make assumptions, so he snipped the chef’s response. That is what I meant, when I stated (9 months ago) that Mark is a naturally respectful fellow.
