My first time using the Collab Cam wasn't so well. The guest I was interviewing couldn't seem to see me or hear my voice in real time. He instead relied on the stream's RUclips page to hear the questions I was asking him, which was awkward since whatever I say and do while streaming wouldn't be shown live until 20-ish seconds later. The Collab Cam footage itself was inserted into my source bin fine, but the communication between me and him was the biggest problem.
Any helpful tips you got to share that can improve my Collab Cam usage, please?

I haven't tried that, but in a sence every camera that's being picked up in the video capture devices section should work.

Im having audio issues. The audio seems to be getting through but I can hear anything. It shows on the mixer though.
Ow no! It could be that your default monitor device is set incorrectly. If that isn't the cause I would contact Streamlabs Discord.gg/stream
Quick question. Are 2 streamers able to do their own streams with this feature?
Yes! You can both add it to your own Streamlabs Desktop. Keep in mind that your webcam might be only compatible with 1 program at the time. You can use splitcam for example to prevent that. If you use the Elgato Cam link pro you will have no trouble as you can open your camera in multiple programs at the same time.

I wanted to try and get my friend to join me to comment on some games/videos with me...he said he couldn't see what I was playing on his phone, just my still face....I also used my phone as my camera.....just having trouble finding a simple solution.
Do you know if people on their phone can see what I see?

I can’t get this to work with my external cam? It appears that streamlabs is blocking the cam so my friends can’t see me, only hear me.. I can see and hear them fine? Any suggestions? Streamlabs themselves were stumped 🤔
Humm are you using the camera in any other application? Because if that's the cause the other application might take over instead. You could also try running it in administrator mode.
@@trui it seems to think I am but the only app I have open is streamlabs itself? Tried admin mode with the same issue, hmm.. most frustrating.. I think my cam just won’t allow access to another persons stream while streamlabs is open. Maybe I’ll look into a different cam 🙂

@@VaderBear not fixed unfortunately. Seems my cam doesn’t allow me to use it in two applications at once. It must count my streamlabs and my friend’s stream as two applications?? I’ll have to look at replacing it with one that definitely does allow more than one application at a time! Thanks for responding to me though! 😊

Yes it works on Mac! It's on slow rollout though so you might not have it yet.

That's rough as my parents kitchen is in the living room so then I need to get them away and it's echoing like crazy. I don't think Nims kitchen is big enough 🤔
But Recordings dont include the guest's audio :(
It should! If the guest allows the browser to record the audio then you should be able to hear it. If that's not the case ask discord.gg/stream
seems like they got idea from tiktok
Ow I streamed on TikTok for like 3 times and I always hated the join requests. Luckily they don't work the same as you are in control of who gets the link. You don't get request pop-ups the whole time!
Only 4 when you can use streamyard and get 6 lol
I haven't used streamyard myself, but streamlabs also offers other cool widges and even overlays ☺️
@@trui yeah i guess thats a plus also streamyard gives you a limit of like 24 hours until they want you to pay more then a netflix sub haha
