Once I flew with an Orthodox Jewish guy on a plane we talked the whole time best flight ever.

I'm blown away by all the perfect, righteous, religious people leaving negative comments....
I'm even blown away by all the atheists acting like master of logic and reason who are ALSO leaving negative comments....
Just wow.... I'd recommend a book called "How To Win Friends And Influence People" -but you guys already seem to be experts on common sense.

And as a side note, I would say that a truly "disabled" person is someone who has hatred in their heart for other people. Hatred is what truly limits/disables people. Those who are disabled physically may be the most blessed of us all, cuz they're better able to conquer falsehoods, to have empathy for others, to rise above many challenges & to seek goodness as well as love others in a way they should be loved. That is true ability. It's the ability to love, above all else. And love = Perfection.
I am really enjoying this series it's great to be learning and experiencing the different beliefs of the people of our nation!

Hi Zack! First, I wanted to commend you on taking the bold step of initiating conversation across cultures and involving others in your exploration of faith. You have such an amazing light around you & you are HILARIOUS! I'm glad for your open heart & mind.
I feel like this show, not only sheds a light on various faith systems, but it also offers a veil of humanity for those who live under such faith systems, which is so necessary nowadays. I look forward to seeing your journey play out. :)
Depends on your definition of perfect! I see perfection in everyone cuz I see God's glory shining thru each of them. I see how God works miracles thru those society considers "imperfect/disposable". For instance ppl w/Down Syndrome. I see perfection in them cuz they always seem to be smiling. They bring joy to ppl around them. Those who know ppl w/disabilities are blessed. They teach us how to stay positive & strong. They teach us whats important, what to value & what not to take for granted!

We all have disabilities mental,phisical or psicological. How we work them out is what makes us perfect, because we have the control of a body we little know about yet we work it perfectly within our limitations.

This is great. Sometimes, it's hard to not get carried away by stereotypes, and showing people like well, just people, is a great way of making that happen less often.

Look over the links I gave. They show the verse in context. God did create the blind, deaf, disabled. He created us all! And He created us all beautifully/perfectly! I can see that perfection in Zach. God didnt create anyone in a malevolent way. He created all of us out of love! Again,the verse is saying:"Though u have a hard time w/speech, TRUST me, for I am the God who created u! I am the God of miracles & can work thru ur disability for great glory/purpose!" A beautiful thing if you ask me.

I have a disability- I think it's actually the same one as Zach, only less severe- and I think God gave me my disability so he could work through it. I walk with a limp, but I'm still a complete person, I'm intelligent and creative and live a full life. I also work with special needs students, and my disability helps me understand them better. I think we are who we are for a reason.

If you are in a major city, you may try to find the Soka Gakkai International USA Buddhist Community or Culture Center. It is the largest Buddhist lay society in America with over 100 centers around the country. It is one of the most ethnically and racially diverse religious organizations in America. It's make up depends on the city you are in. I have been a member for 28 years.
Have a little faith, words I live by when my husband says, "I can't do dishes like you honey" loll .. On a more serious note I love these videos, I embrace and have great respect for all religions. I found Mendy's faith fascinating, thank you for sharing Zach:)

I would like to point out thought that at 0:22 he says women don't wear kippot/yarmulkes, but actually, women in Conservative & Reform Judaism do. Tallis as well. They just don't in Orthodox Judaism.
Here's my question:
Do the core beliefs of the world religions make them far more similar than they would like to admit?
For shiz... Respect. But I was referring to wearing a Yarmulka outside of shul. Everywhere. Wearing it during prayer is more of a law than a tradition. I was explaining the rabbincal logic behind the tradition. Most men/some women wear it during services even though they don't wear it outside.
The host of this series proves that it is possible to be informative and funny/endearing at the same time. I was going to say adorable, but let's reserve that term for God.

lolasorocks10 yeah, of course. mendy is orthodox so it's a lot stricter than reform or conservative judaism. plenty of jews marry christians, our religion is very accepting and loving :)
