  • In this video, we demystify B cell activation, antibody production, and memory cell formation in this informative video. Learn how your immune system battles pathogens like the West Nile virus, how B and T cells work together, and the essential roles of plasma and memory B cells. We'll also touch on isotype switching and affinity maturation, processes that refine our immune response. Stay tuned for our next video on the cell-mediated response! Subscribe for more insights into the fascinating world of biology.

    Halo, Leslie. Your videos are amazing. And very helpful for me...
    I want to ask you something. How old are the memory B-Cells?
    What will happen if they dead?
    Do our body still can remember the specific pathogens?
    I hope you can understand what I mean.. Thank you very much....

      To your question - Memory B-cells can last for years and even decades depending on the type. If they die, your immune system might be slower to respond when re-exposed to the same pathogen. However, the body can still recognize and fight off the pathogen, even though it might take a bit longer compared to when the memory B-cells were present.

    at .18sec'DS in; considering the afferent path of programmed leukocytes into the bloodstream beginning in the nodes into the venacava then into r. atrium bringing the antibody proteins to the rest of the blood system mixing with the deoxygenated Eurothcytes , how does the leukocytes bypass going through the lower respiratory with the Eurothcytes? or does the current of the leukocytes go through myocardium with the current of the interstitial lymphatic fluid with an opposing current of the pericardium

    So at what condition humoral immunity will get activated and what condition call mediated immunity will get activated. Do they both can2be activated by a single pathogen please reply 😢

    • @InteractiveBiology
      @InteractiveBiology  День назад +1

      Great question! Humoral immunity is activated mainly when pathogens (like bacteria or viruses) are found in body fluids, while cell-mediated immunity kicks in when infected cells need to be targeted, like in viral infections. Yes, both can be activated by the same pathogen but in different ways. Hope this helps! 😊

    In the beginning of all that how the bcr recognized the Antigine while it's the first time of it getting into our bodies like how the b cell produce the receptors of the Antigine before it gets into our bodies?

      Hi Tuy,
      Great question. You are 100% correct. Anytime you see the suffix "-cyte" in biology, you can replace that with cells, because that's what it means. Thanks for watching and engaging with the content. You're awesome!
