Hello, sir. I just wanted to ask about the HD 569 before pulling the trigger. Are they comfortable to wear for long hours? Do they clamp hard? To me, comfort is more important than anything. I'd sacrifice some audio quality over it. What's the use of expensive 3000$-5000$ headphones if I won't be able to wear them for 10 minutes straight without visiting my ENT doctor, haha. I hate Bluetooth earbuds because they get plugged so deep into my ears it's terrible. Gave me all kinds of trouble. I have sensitive ears in general. So I'm gonna slowly transition back to wired, super relaxing headphones. Without a doubt, sennheiser was the first thing I thought about. I'd like a pair of closed back headphones from them (so I don't bother the people around me at home or work from sound leakage). Everyone says the HD 569 is comfortable. Very comfortable, actually. That makes me happy, but I wanted to be extra sure from you if possible. Thank you, and have a nice day/night🫡
So first my disclaimer. Everyone is different. Personally I think they are very comfortable and do not clamp hard. I also wanna say that i do have a big head. With the higher end sennheisers (569's, 580's, 598's, 6XX's) I have never had any comfort issues long term. The 6XX's clamped too hard initially but i stretched it out carefully putting some books between the head pads over night and it worked like a charm. Specifically with the 569's i've never had an issue using them for long periods of time. One last disclaimer is I bought the 569's used from a guy so technically they were already broken in and possibly already stretched out a bit. I do completely agree with you that comfort is king and sennheiser i think knows this. I have some Focal Egelia headphones and while i like the sound the comfort of the 569's is better. @@poutineitup9510 Sound is probably a bit more open but it doesn’t bother me. I love the comfort/feel of velour, and appreciate not worrying about peeling. If I want compete sound isolation, I use Bose Quiet Comfort. 👍
I really loved them but, but in maybe just over 1 year of irregular use the cushions have completely worn off, black velor crumbled really finely, like black dust. I've replaced the cushions with leather ones (not original), but it's not the same feeling and sound any more. Would love to get same ones for another location, but afraid the same will happen to the cushions really fast. Don't get how come this can last 10-20 years with same cushions.
Thanks for your thoughts. Idk if the cushions will last 20 years but the drivers, head band, and other parts may. The ones that lasted that long were a different pair but I do stand behind sennheiser. The hd598’s are super solid and sound terrific. At some point they made hd598’s that were closed backed but idk if you can still find them. I have the open backed version.

I can confirm the 280 pro and 569 sound similar, but 569 are better for use with mobile devices such as smartphones, where the 280 pro are better for at home listen, I will say to my ears after a good burn-in period the 280 pro have slight better detail and wider sound stage but not by much, you might want to eq either pair in the bass & treble just a tad because they can sound a little flat at times
Nice review, especially for the long-term user experience :) I've found my pair of headphones Though I must ask as a newb, Are the headband cushions replaceable? What happens when they get dirty or ware out?
I know I'm very late but I recently replaced the earpads and headband pad and it's actually really simple to replace them! The earpads just pop out and pop back in. The headband padding is a little bit more difficult to remove but you just take it out, remove any extra adhesive (more like double sided tape) and stick the new one on. It only takes 1 to 2 minutes for the whole thing
That seems odd. I've never experience that before. Seems like it is either coming from the source or maybe an intermittent connection to the headphone jack?
In all honesty probably not that almost anyone can tell. Headphones and the quality of the sound from the source will make the biggest difference. If you have a bad quality source you can't improve it no matter what. If you have bad headphones then that can really affect things. The interconnects really don't matter as much as Monster and other manufacturers want you to believe. I went to an audio show once where someone did a demo between pure silver speaker wire and the cheapest speaker wire you can find. I could just barely tell the difference in some of the high range. The price of the pure silver speaker cable was around $100/foot. You will probably be fine with anything with a reasonable length and the 3.5mm jack. If you start going 100' maybe you will see a difference but i really don't know. Most of my cables for my headphones are 10' or less and in those cases you won't hear a difference.
I have this headphone and after burning in for 100 hours in a white noise the audio quality is phenomenal with wide soundstage like you are wearing an open back headset 🙂
Wish you would have addressed the comfort aspects of these headphones. All the sound quality aspects go out the window if you can't wear them for more then a few minutes due to discomfort. I'll be glad to sacrifice a little to get headphones that feel great and that can be worn as though they aren't even there.
Thanks for your comment. I wear these headphones all the time at work for long periods of time (hours) and they are ultra comfortable. I have a big head and I do not feel like my head is being squeezed at all.

Check out the Focal Elegia. You will probably need to replace the wire as it is super stiff and doesn't relax over time but replacement cables are cheap.
Yeah it is annoying how Bluetooth essentially creates a market for replacing perfectly good headphones every few years. Look at the Apple Watch!! Instead of buying a single watch that lasts for 20 years you need to upgrade your watch every few years to keep getting updates and new features. I’m still rocking the same solar powered Citizen watch for 15 years and it still works great.

Do you have any issues with your ears warming up after extended use?
Good question. I wear these at work for extended periods on time without a problem.

I bought them and I have no regrets. Thanks for your review.
@@olebogengthothela1191 you are welcome. I’m glad you are enjoying them :)
What adapter do I need for the 9 foot cable? Could you please give me a link or the name of one that would be nice also good video :)
You can probably just search Amazon for sennheiser hd569 adapters or cables and it’ll come up all sorts of options. Not sure which adapter you need
@@poutineitup9510 like the adapter you could use with the 9 foot cable to plug in your phone, thank you for the reply though! :)
@@dorky_squid7394 I don’t want to link the wrong adapter. Just be careful cause Apple adapters may not quite work but not sure. I would talk to a friend who has an adapter and try theirs or order from Amazon using prime shipping in case it doesn’t work properly. You want to make sure you can return it without a hassle. Good luck :)
@@poutineitup9510 wow thank you very much I will take this advice.
would be great if at least one reviewer put the headphones on his head to see how they sit on his head for what they are intended for.
Hey, i want to buy new Headphones. Do you recommend the Sennheiser HD569, Sennheiser HD599 or the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO? :)
Good question. I’ve only tried the 569’s in your list. The 598’s are good though
Can anyone recommend these or any other closed back Sennheiser cans for sub bass that has 3.5 connector for my soundcard?
Which one is better Sennheiser HD 569 or HD 280 PRO?
I haven’t tried the 280 pros but I can tell you the 569’s are terrific. I definitely do not regret purchasing them. I use them every day.
Nice review, especially for the long-term user experience :) I've found my pair of headphones
Though I must ask as a newb, Are the headband cushions replaceable? What happens when they get dirty or ware out?
Thanks for the kind words. I see the head band cushions for sale so I guess they are. I have no idea what the process is though to replace them
I know I'm very late but I recently replaced the earpads and headband pad and it's actually really simple to replace them! The earpads just pop out and pop back in. The headband padding is a little bit more difficult to remove but you just take it out, remove any extra adhesive (more like double sided tape) and stick the new one on. It only takes 1 to 2 minutes for the whole thing
I just bought one and I notice that when I use them over here on yt, everytime I pause or skip or scroll and there's a click. Is that even normal??
That seems odd. I've never experience that before. Seems like it is either coming from the source or maybe an intermittent connection to the headphone jack?
@@kenjihorvath3163 Never had it before with my old ones. I asked and got my money back.
Heard they're good for voiceover. Would you recommend these headphones, or something better like audio technica
I wish I could advise on that but I never used the audio technicas
Will using a quarter inch jack to 3.5mm jack adapter on the long cable affect the sound quality?
Most of my cables for my headphones are 10' or less and in those cases you won't hear a difference.
extra cheese?
I have this headphone and after burning in for 100 hours in a white noise the audio quality is phenomenal with wide soundstage like you are wearing an open back headset 🙂
Do like my hd6xx’s more but I still love my 569’s a lot
@@poutineitup9510 Yeah 6xx is not advisable to bring on the go, 569 do 🙂

Wish you would have addressed the comfort aspects of these headphones. All the sound quality aspects go out the window if you can't wear them for more then a few minutes due to discomfort. I'll be glad to sacrifice a little to get headphones that feel great and that can be worn as though they aren't even there.
Thanks for your comment. I wear these headphones all the time at work for long periods of time (hours) and they are ultra comfortable. I have a big head and I do not feel like my head is being squeezed at all.
They are the comfiest headphones I’ve ever worn
Hi there! I need to use ,y Sennheiser HD 569 for skype calls on my laptop, but somehow I can't figire out how to make the mike work. I've tried everything, but im simply won't function. Please, tell me what to do.
Thanks for the comment. I only have a TRS connector so that doesn’t even support a mic so I’m not sure
Hi is the 👂 ear cup big so my ears don't feel the ear cup ?
@@djjoep100 I find them perfectly comfortable but everyone has different ear sizes. I would suggest you try demoing them somewhere if you can.
don't know if you know this, but your mic picks up your voice very directionally, meaning you sound way louder on the right in this vid.
Cool thanks for the feedback
hi brother im looking to upgrade to a closed back headphone besides the 569 sennheiser do you recommend others that are light weight wired.
Check out the Focal Elegia. You will probably need to replace the wire as it is super stiff and doesn't relax over time but replacement cables are cheap.
I upgraded mine by adding the ifi go bar (£239) and a balanced 4.4mm TRRS cable from Oidio they sound amazing.
@@MiaMidol Awesome i'm glad you're enjoying it. I don't use mine with a DAC/AMP. I'm sure that would improve the sound.
Sennheiser hd 569 vs beyerdynamic 770? Which is best for big ears and comfort? I read sennheiser are bigger
Never tried the beyerdynamics. If I recall they don’t have a detachable cable though. For me that is a deal breaker
@@poutineitup9510 true! They don't have it but sennheiser has indeed
Returned the 770’s and went with the 569’s, purely for comfort. Clamping force is much lighter on sennheiser’s and cups are bigger.

Good question. The hd6xx’s may be a better option for studio monitoring but it depends how much accuracy you are looking for
Finally gave up on Bluetooth.
Yeah it is annoying how Bluetooth essentially creates a market for replacing perfectly good headphones every few years. Look at the Apple Watch!! Instead of buying a single watch that lasts for 20 years you need to upgrade your watch every few years to keep getting updates and new features. I’m still rocking the same solar powered Citizen watch for 15 years and it still works great.
they are wors the audiotechnica M40x and BD they cost probably the same as AT but sound way below my expectarions , I got CX 3.00 and 569 sound like cheap headphones I am using on desktop pc and smartphone
Thanks for sharing your opinion. Did you break them in or are they brand new? I find headphones sound different when they are brand new but tend to sound better after they are broken in.

@@phantompizza I found these headphones were comparatively muddy and bass heavy. They were far from flat. I really didn't like the audio signature at all.
It wasn't so much they were bad, but worse than what I was used to. They ARE better than something like beats, but, still not great. I would suggest getting something else if available. I made my previous comment out of anger and have since returned the product so take it with a grain of salt.
