    Song is about passing away from a brain aneurysm hence bleed and the journey to his afterlife

    It's a difficult song to get into on a first listen, on top of that you guys got a cut up version of a song that skipped the entire second part which in my opinion has more interesting rhythmical patterns plus the solo. Great reaction though, looking forward to your next one!

    This is actually the shortened version. Have a look at a lyrics video that is the full 7 minutes. Alot is missing from this version

    About 3 or 4 years ago I was watching reactions to this video.. had never seen or heard of Meshuggah before. It was a bit out of my norm, being a speed/thrash fan and not much into growling vocals. I also was watching reactions to Devin Townsend videos, which actually got me more into the harsher vocals and taught me how to listen to them with appreciation. After continuing to watch reactions to this video, I began to like the song and eventually wound up buying the album because of it. Now I thoroughly enjoy the whole album when I listen to it at work lol. Reaction videos can introduce new music not only to the reactor but to their viewers as well. Were it not for reactions like these I likely never would have gotten into Meshuggah nor Devin Townsend nor Jinjer, etc.

    Getting into Meshuggah is like trying to jump on a moving train. The first time I heard them I didn’t get it, couldn’t grasp the beat, didn’t know where the “1” was. Then once it clicks, it hits hard. They’re an acquired taste for sure, seeing them live helps.

    In Flames - Stand Ablaze
    In Flames - Lunar Strain
    In Flames - Behind Space
    In Flames - December Flower
    In Flames - Dead Eternity
    In Flames - Subterranean
    True Gothenburg pioneers in the modern melodeath genre together with for example At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity. Not the easiest to get in too maybe but soo good when you do! I use it to relax and just get lost in the music.

      @pjukas 3 года назад

      @Johnny Mack Yes they are good but sounds like many others, , In Flames suck now but not back in the day up until Colony. Have you even heard their earlier stuff? Nothing sounds like that.....whiles i can find you 20 2000-2020 bands who sounds like AE and AA...even if they are good bands..

    • @pjukas
      @pjukas 3 года назад

      @Johnny Mack And as said, they where one of the pioneers and had soul in their early releases.

    Yes if you listen to the interview with the drummer, it took him almost 6 months to compose and learn this song. A true feat in drumming to say the least. Try listening to Clockworks by these guys. Will blow you away. Love your channel!!!

    Yeah review the Tomas Haake drum cam version and watch the machine go from 0-100-0-100. He has no slow down in this song besides the breakdown. That’s the most impressive thing about the song is his polyrhythms where his time signatures are all different and it sounds perfect. Then you add in the aneurysm lyrics and it meshes perfectly.

    Hey guys! If you thought this band was interesting enough for a second listen, they have a song that is (in my opinion) way crazier and cooler than this, called Clockworks. There's a drum cam video for it, too! ( ruclips.net/video/axGn6qeJHcM/видео.html ) I'm not even that big of a fan of Meshuggah, or the song Bleed, but I do think that Clockworks is a work of art.

      Beams of fire sweep through my head
      Thrusts of pain increasingly engaged
      Sensory receptors succumb
      I'm no one now, only agony
      My crimson liquid so frantically spilled
      The ruby fluid of life unleashed
      there is a few of the lyrics. The drummer writes the lyrics typically.

    That poor lady. 😟You looked so uncomfortable and scared. Did nobody warn you about Meshuggah?!
    This is Extreme Metal.
    It's not for "normal" people. You have to be prepared first or it can cause psychological damage. But once you get used to it and like it, you can't go back to mundane music.
