I can’t recall off the top of my head what the deck height was at the time of filming. I was using CBP calculator. With the current deck height and the chambers on the heads I had, the compression ratio would have been 6.8:1.
My car is a 1969 Type 1 Standard (single relief). I am rebuilding it stock. But, I want to add dual port heads, doghouse oil cooler, oil cooler shroud, and 87 mm pistons. What non-spinon oil pump do I add to give the best oil circulation for my engine? I am building stock, so just want a slip in place better pump. I am adding electronic ignition, but other than what it is listed it will be stock.
Well I’m the same and only used 3 on my 2276 but can’t quite get it in limits, everything is brand new. Then I saw a few people saying you can use more than 4, I fear that’s my only way out of this strange situation!
Great to see all fingers back in action doin the business
Might be an old video. He didn't mention it on the video.
Not an old video. This is all current work and yes it’s nice to see Taylor back to ‘normal’ 😂 - Ben
@@wickedwerks Nice to hear Taylor, has 10 working fingers again.
Good video, I’ve watched others and you explained these systems much better
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. More to come soon if I can ever get the right set of cylinder heads 😂
Awesome series Taylor. God Bless
Great series idea!
Interesting as always. Love the tattoo 😂
The dots on the oil pump gears is for lubrication
Thanks for the education
How much deck height does the engine have? CB performance, has a engine calculator compression ratio link, in case you didn't know.

The stock oil pump will be more than adequate for a stock engine.
Good details 🤙
Thanks dude! I never second guessed myself so much until I started posting things on RUclips 😂
@@wickedwerks man I feel you on that!
The thing with the flywheel is real talk guys!
What would actually happen if you used more than 3 shims? I can’t think of anything? You would still get the lubrication between them all surly .
In true ignorant fashion, I’ve never looked into it and just continued on what I was taught 😂
