I think there's more than one type of patina look. Your bus tells a story. The yellow flames on the passenger door, auto logo's on the tailgate, part yellow, and part turkis - that works for me and makes this bus a lot of fun to look at.
If the seller was a VW guy, this is shameful. A bore scope may of helped diagnose the problem prior to strip down. Keep the videos going as they are enjoyable to watch. 💪🏼🇬🇧
Tried a scope, but mine does not have a 90° camera. All that debris you see for a quick second in the combustion change has compacted flat against the head. Thanks for watching!
If you saw a 70’ single cab in pristine condition at Terryville Fairgrounds, I found it for the owner, Larry, in South Carolina. Between us, we have 5 single cabs……. Um Just Sayin, we do like those trucks. I mostly watch your channel preferred.
@@Brodiesbuses It just my opinion, and what I might pay, for a non-running type 1 or a type 4 engine. Seized engines, are not rare here in New England.

Never a dull moment 😂
I LOVE the graphics you added to your ride! This was another great video. I really appreciate how you include all the struggles!
wow. I like your stuff, because your luck is about as good as mine. keep up the good work pal.
The joys of swap meets and "ran when parked" type stories. I'm sad the yellow is gone.
You could probably be sell those ripped jeans on eBay for $500😂😂😂
Nice meeting you in person! Can’t wait to see the resolution to this puzzle!
You too Tom! Thanks for watching, loved your Bus!
Well that escalated quickly! 🙂 Great video! I have never worked on a VW motor but it looks easier then an old V8.
Ex mechanic here would love a sideline here in the UK building aircooled engines trials and tribulations of getting oldies back on the road
I thought I was the only one with this kind of luck
Great video 📹 👍 👏 👌 🙌 😀
I paid a reasonable fifty dollars ,for a non running engine couple years back
I’m just starting to rebuild engines and it is like a treasure hunt. VW parts on the samba and at swap meets yield good finders sometimes.
Sometimes 😂 good luck!
@@wickedwerks I just picked up a 2110 with 44 Webbers for selling a 62’ - 11 window for a friend. Year down begins immediately.

Brilliant 👍
Great real-world video. The trials and tribulations of a used engine. Is that a 34 carb on that 1500?
Nah, 30 PICT 2. I’ll use that to get it running. If it runs good, I want to put a set of ICTs on it. Thanks for watching
Now I'm questioning if I've torqued my flywheel 😅😂
Oh boy.
Cliffhanger!
Dik move by Mr swap meet guy. 🤦🏻♂
What is that piece in front of the carb? Never seen that. I love my 1500 SP in my early 68.
Some kind of emissions related equipment, I believe.
I have a picture of the yellow truck in my man cave.
shh happens like you say just grit your teeth and look forward.
Send the guy the video link and ask for a partial refund.
If I had his contact info 😂I gave him a card, maybe he’ll watch…and laugh
@wickedwerks
If the engine seller watches your channel, he should get in touch with you, and send you a refund. It's the right thing to do.
😂
No one should pay more than $50 for a non running engine. Unless it has good bolt-on used parts on it.
Good luck with that

Lame sauce man no history motors are definitely a gamble
