In my hands-on journey with this lens, I've been impressed by the image quality it delivers. While it may not be the absolute sharpest, considering its budget-friendly price tag, it certainly holds its own.
This lens proves the point that you get what you pay for, but in this case, what you're paying for is pretty nifty. Join me as I explore the features and showcase some sample shots with this affordable and versatile lens.

i love how TTartisan lens are , affordable , vintage and modern
Bought this lens on sale for $119. Also bought a different 52mm lens hood and cap for $9. Not for professional work but so far so good. I also have the 27mm 2.8 and have not had any issues with it. Thanks for the review.
thanks for watching!
If I had access to this lens when I was first starting out - sooo sick!
this would've been nice to pick up back then.
TTArtisan are improving a lot! Really cool and affordable.
Any particular X-T5 hand grip?
Small rig! Cheaper
Quarteira! I couldn’t stop noticing that I knew the place. In a totally non photographic related comment, in case you haven’t, I recommend you to cross to Huelva province. Ayamonte, Cartaya, El Rompido, Moguer, Niebla.. or a bit in the interior Almonaster La Real (the old mosque is a must) and Cortagena.
Ps: because of the angle you choose at the beginning I thought the AF was failing all the time.. until I noticed the strange effect was happening because it was working so well.
Haha ya I live in Quarteira, i haven't been to spain yet even though it's an hour away from me. but i should thank you for the suggestions
Pretty nice lens for the price! You're right about some of the third party lens quality being pretty good these days. I'm wondering about the three new Sirui lenses. Will you be testing those?
I am not making a video because I don’t have anything nice to say. If you watch goughie’s video you’ll understand why.
@@Iamtongue Good to know! Thanks...
@@Iamtongue I was hoping the 33mm might be an acceptable alternative to the XF33mm for the price.
How did you find the AF performance?
Single point af is decent as expected, the continous AF still needs a bit of work.
Without the sound on it looked like you were doing a music video for the first 5 seconds. 😁 What lens did you use for the intro?
Like a beastie boys music video? ahaha I was using the viltrox 16mm f1.8
Exactly. 😁 Looked good. 🙂
I plan on buying a fuji. But unsure if I should pay and get the 18-55 kit lens along with it. Thinking of buying any 2 lenses from the ttartisan lineup (25/2, 35/1.4, 50/1.2) instead. Kindly advice if that would be a wise decision. Basically, would like to know if I would end up wanting to buy the cheap prime lenses even after getting the kit lens, or the other way around. On a tight budget and plan to stick to just the initially bought lenses. Usage: mainly photography
how about you buy the kit and 1 prime?
@@Iamtongue hmm, slightly over shooting, but i think that is the best option
I'm considering getting either this or the XC 35mm f2, with the XC being more expensive than the TTartisan, but the difference is around 50$ at most. Which one you think I should get?
Ya the Fuji would be better, it has the same lens formula as the Xf 35mm f2
a used Fujifilm 18-55mm XF kitlens and this TTartisan 35mm have the same price in my country and I can only afford one. which one should I go for?
it'll be my first AF lens since all the lenses I have rn are manual (ttartisan 25mm f2 and helios 44m-4 52mm f2)
Kit lens more versatile bro
@@Iamtongue I see, thanks for the response!
Which handgrip did u get?
Small rig
What lens you used shooting the vid?
viltrox 16mm f1.8
@@Iamtongue Thanks! very beautiful looking video so cinematic man you have magic! You shot with it in outside part only? Or both outside and inside?
Thank you! It's Outside. But inside was with the Vitrox 13mm F1.4
I purchased their 27mm AF for the X mount, I absolutely loved it for approximately 1 month then AF got up one morning and left town. Tried the suggested firmware download to no avail. I subsequently discovered i was not alone with the problem. I was sucked in with the bargain price tag, but ultimately i bought an unsellable, unusable POS. Beware
Damn that sucks.. I’m sorry that happen to you
This video destroyed my eyeballs. Otherwise, good review!
Sorry it gave you astigmatism haha
