Where is the best place to buy a drone and what kind do you recommend?
Something happened around the 10 hour mark (where I am now) and all of a sudden I feel way better with the quads and actually able to finish the races, which I totally couldn't do at 5 hours. Super excited to get to 100 hours and sart putting in laps like those. Mega effort!
I am hopeful I have that kind of breakthrough. I am just below 10 hours and can't even control this damn thing. 😞
SAME! At 10 hours I’ve just started to feel comfortable with the drone and feel like I’m just now getting it to do what I want it to do. Can only imagine how 100 is gonna feel lol.

@@wiicchooo tbf I haven't played in a few months now, I think I got past 30 hours though, and still improved my gameplay but still I'm not as good as the guy in this video. I'd be down for a game of liftoff against you though in an online lobby :)

I’m around 20 hours with an Xbox controller, just got a Tx16s radio yesterday and the control I have now is amazing. This video gives me confidence to keep going on the simulator. Well done, hopefully I’ll be where you are

Dude, This is amazing. There has to be some sort of natural talent too because I have well over 100 hours and a year and a half of pretty consistent experience and I’m nowhere near this good. Sooo the typical person shouldn’t expect this lol; HOWEVER, it’s still loads of fun even if you’re never this good lol

When you feel like you have any chance at the game then this pops up on your feed
Trust me, practice and you will get there, I guarantee it. Plus I flew a lot more in real life then on the simulator so 100 hours isn't accurate to where I am. If you want to see where I once more check out my earlier videos in real life.

Most of my hours are IRL, I only started playing liftoff when I already started racing. You will get there!

@@QuickFlights so would you say the quad in liftoff reacts the same as irl ?
@@komputerHakka I would say that in terms of real life, my VelociDrone quads react more realistically. Although in Liftoff It has the same rates that I use in irl but it has an unrealistic amount of performance compared to what would actually be possible.
I’m actually of a different opinion. I do agree that Velocidrone flies more realistic, however the hang time is WAY WORSE then Liftoff, and I have always found Velocidrone to be underpowered compared to my real drones, while Liftoff gets that right

What setting did you change to have the gate overlay show up? I struggle learning new tracks with just the dots, and the blue squares would really help :)
I believe just in settings under game you can disable "show race guides" and enable "show game triggers" so that only the dots in the gates show up and the arrows disappear. This should make it easier! Best of luck :)
How did you get it in first person view because when I load it it makes me go into third person

Hi there! 😁 I am really amazed at how well you are able to fly! I am also practicing in Liftoff but would like to document my process similar to what you did.
I have saved recordings but no idea where to find them on my Macbook lol. Would you happen to know where the files are? Thanks and great flying 😭
To my knowledge the recordings in the game can only be accessed through the replay feature in the game and don't save to a mp4 file or something like that unfortunately. If you want to record your practice maybe look into using a program like NVidia shadowplay or obs. Thanks!

What levels are the 60 and 100 hours ones? I don't see them in my game in Bardwells Yard or the Paris one.
How many custom maps are there?
whenever I run LiftOff I use the drones that are on there by default and they move much slower than this. Are you using some type of tweaked out custom drone which makes it go fast?

How do you get your replays? I can record them to lift-off but I am unable to save them anywhere else on my PC.
To my knowledge, you have to screen record the replay that you can access in game. I'm guessing the replay would be a specific file that only the simulator can read.

complete beginner here, received my controller today and decided to get Liftoff since im more interested in freestyle. first day in and I have already gotten 3 hours into the grind... its been really fun so far but I just hope it all pays off when I start actually flying in the next couple weeks lol

how did you make the drone at 30 hours so smooth that you can fly slowly between trees? I have a drone with a minimum speed of 40-50 and I cannot slow it down
I run a 55 degree angle tilt so in order to slow down, you need to have good spatial awareness and throttle control. Of course if you lower your camera angle you can fly slower and closer but then you lose the speed when you need it. Then it's just about understand where level is with your drone and you should be right... just takes practice.

Could you please tell me, since my first radio controller is coming in a week - would you say that Liftoff has most realistic physics compared to flying in real life?
There are so many simulators, I can't pick. Any advice would help.

Liftoff is a good choice, I would recommend watching my VelociDrone Liftoff comparison video to see which one is best for you. Currently I switch between Liftoff for freestyle and VelociDrone for racing. It's exciting getting your first controller, good choice if you want a good first experience of the hobby. Im using a Jumper T8SG V2, however basically any good rc controller would be better than a Xbox controller.

Hi everyone, I just installed Liftoff, I have a PS4 controller and I have a problem. After correctly calibrating my controller, it works properly in the simulator’s starter tutorials but when I start the game, I can no longer lower my controller to arm the drone. Does anyone have a solution?

How can i turn off "Time Limit"? I hawe Liftoff but onley if i choose "Free flight" i dont have time limit,for everry odther option and track are time limits and i hate that option.I don know how to desable it?
Time limits are always on the screen for races. Freestyle is time limited. Free flight is a great mode without a time limit which you can fly every track just without the gates highlighted or timed.

I can relate so much to all the mistakes you were making before the 100 hour mark lol
I have way more hours than 100 in the DRL sim but an almost 3 month 0 flight break made me lose a ton of muscle memory so it feels like Im back to square 1
For me it never feels like that, I can take long breaks away (longest was 5 months) and get back into the rhythm of things after just a few flights, sure it might feel weird for the first two or three. As long as you put some good sessions in I think you could get back to the way you were before.
@@QuickFlights yeah I have been grinding a bit recently to get back into it and longer sessions help a lot, a couple flights a day just doesnt cut it, slowly getting closer to the old times I set.

Mode 1 instead of the usually mode 2 that is used...
Is this liftoff: fpv drone racing? Cause I got the micro drone edition and there isnt tracks like this so I will get it for sure.
I’ve been using velocidrone for quite some time now due to the fact that I have an Apple computer and it can’t really handle playing games very well velocidrone was the only thing that would run on my Mac decently (with the graphics turned all the way down)without lagging horribly and rendering the sim useless!
How much did you spend on the computer
Can you share us the actual drone settings you have done in liftoff rather than using the beta settings

How are you getting so much speed/thrust in the 100 hour clips?
I am using (KENRICK)-LIGHTNING SERIES quad, and it's one of the fastest and in my opinion, tuned very well. I highly recommend it if you are aiming for a fast time in liftoff or you just need a good 6s quad.

I hope DJI has seen this and sees what the OSD for their FPV System should have been like right from the start. How will this training translate into Real World Flying? I would love to learn. Have been learning with DCL and would like to try this. Don’t think I am into Racing (beyond my ability) just Ducking and Diving would be fun for me.
You should try it though. I use to think that all I wanted to do was freestyle but then I discovered that they both improve unique skills and are fun! I don't have to much knowledge of the DJI OSD, but I heard that they are stopping production of the air unit which is sad. But in terms of the training translating into real world flying, it definitely helps keep your hands moving and also helps with your muscle memory.

Depending on the build type that you have in Liftoff the drone will do that. If you want to try you can change the drone to something like mine which doesn't shake. I am using (KENRICK)-LIGHTNING SERIES quad, and it's one of the fastest and in my opinion, tuned very well.

Being at 15hrs on Uncrashed and 47hrs on Liftoff I'm so far behind I feel. I didn't race in the game however, more freestyle, just starting practicing racing so you could say I'm around on 2hrs of racing, but still crazy flying.

@@QuickFlights Your best maps to sharpen skills on are The Green, Hanger C03, and to a much lesser extent, Hannover and Bando City, in that order.
In Velocidrone, the best maps are River/White Castle, and in the Free Style Expansion Pack... the Drift Track, Island, and Red Canyon. Have phun, Liftoff is a blast! :)

Do i need a good controller? Because when i take off its not feel the same as my qwad does ...i feel like its too freaking fast and also gravity seems higher like a 2Gs
Most transmitters are much better then a game controller. The feeling in liftoff for me is the same, the quads are extremely fast but I feel like the gravity is very floaty.. :P

Lift off for sure! Personally I fly Velocidrone and love it but if you’re deciding between lift off and DRL I would 10000000% go with lift off!
