This was so helpful, I got the replacement part form Amazon for 30 bucks,did it myself and it works, mechanic was telling me we had to switch the whole seat and wanted to charge me a lot more

Great Video. It literally took me 3 minutes to install this on my 2013 Edge. It was easier and faster than changing a light bulb. Thank You so much. The passenger seat switch that is linked on that listing does not fit for a passenger seat on a 2011 ford edge sport. I didn’t realize it until I got the old switch out and it was much smaller. However I reconnected it and it is fully functioning (for now) and I just won’t allow anyone to move it just in case 😂 thank you for this video though because now the seat usable again as it was stuck too close to the airbag for anyone to sit there 😊

Saving this for later. My 2014 Cmax’s power seat stopped working (only the recliner in one direction; it goes down but won’t come back up). Since the other functions work, I suspect it’s the switch that isn’t working, and I’m guessing it’s located in the same spot as the Edge. Thanks!

Question? I have a 2011 Lincoln mkx, and I keep blowing a fuse for the driver side power seat. Does that mean the switch is bad, or I have a wire in the seat area that may be grounding out and blowing the fuse?

What if the seat works fine, just won’t go forward? Still gotta replace everything?
The switch is one big unit. If it’s not the switch, it could be a motor.
most of the time you can take the switch apart and clean it and it will work it . the contacts just get dirty . good luck.
