the .csv file does not work on my ddj800. I downloaded it onto an old laptop and it worked fine, but after upgrading my laptop and have to reinstall rekordbox and download the file again rekordbox does not appear to be picking it up so the fx buttons arent allocated to the 3 stems

I just played some tracks using the stems and it was such fun. I love the way I can take out of vocal from one track and allow the other vocal to play. No more clashing vocal to vocal. Also, I took out the drums from one track and allow the track to play (especially when it is to instrumental tracks). It's my first time using it but I am having so much fun.

Big thanks for all your community for this amazing video and mapping configuration! I have DDJ-1000 and watch previous video about FLX-10 and agreed with all your opinion about upgrading dj gear!
To be able to use this feature, your laptop needs to - have at least rekordbox v6.7.0 - Turn on the Track seperation functionality (preferences -> extensions -> TRACK SPERATION -> tick checkbox (Track Speration) - Have 16GB memory (according to the rekordbox specs) "16GB or more of RAM (TRACK SEPARATION function)"
You need to check the appropriate box within the analyze track function. You also need to upgrade your rekordbox from the free version (at least when using the controller I'm on - ddj400)
Loved the video, it really helped out. As an upcoming DJ these small parts of the journey can only be learnt through the help of people like you who are willing to share the knowledge. Thanks alot for that. 🤟🏻

I try to analyze, and the 'vocals' option is locked and says I don't have the correct rekordbox plan -- I'm using the hardware unlock plan. Any ideas?
Try going to settings, click on extensions, there should be a empty box right at the top that says “Enable Track Separation Function”. Check that box and it should work, I had the same problem

I can’t seem to change my midi mapping on my ddj1000 when ever I click on the button I want to map it comes up with you cannot change assignment for this midi code… I can’t even find the code either any ideas?

I was thinking the same thing like how the Algoriddim software has it. I use an XDJXZ now and and going to try to midi map it to the two used 3&4 channels
After seeing your comment, I was curious and found out It's the same method by clicking the gear box and selecting the mixer tab. Doing the same steps as if you were adding it to the pads except it's the EQ knobs and it works.

Im brand new to learning about DJ stuff i gotta say thanks to you and other DJs on youtube giving very fundamental tips on where and what to start learning. Cus it has made it less daunting unlike the first time i sat down with my controller to try n learn.
I used someone elses dodgy downloaded mapping file and lost my Keyboard mode even though stems were meant to be mapped to the Key Shift function. Your DIY method is much easier than I anticipated, thank youuuuuuuuu, I'm all fixed now! :D

Incidentally, VDJ has stems natively mapped to EQ and with a click of a button (on a cheap little controller) I used to move from EQ to stems function with powerful options to control how much of a particular stem i was mixing in. Got myself a pro-controller with rekordbox am setting it up. Pads are nice. Wish I could re-reate use of EQ knobs like VDJ. If that's available, I would love to hear about it. If not, thank you for this video 🙂

WOW Amazing thanks for this , so easy to set up ..... What an update to recieve for my ddj-1000. The Stem sounds arn't perfect but hopefully this will improve over time with updates. Would be great if there was a way to have the perfomance pads match the colour of the stems.
This looks great, awesome tutorial because I immediately thought that I'd rather remaps the samplers than anything else. One question! Does stems mode analyze any regular track or is it only certain types?

Yeah i am having the same issue as you. Trying to add the stems over the Keyboard Mode Pads and its face palming :(

Yeah, unfortunately I don't think you can adjust the lighting of the pads, or if you can, it's beyond my knowledge.

Great video and the download and installation worked flawless. The stems application seems to slow things down though in Rekordbox on my Macbook Pro?

Not yet, this technology seems to be limited to laptop software as of now.

Since the video released, they changed a bit the settings of te pad section, but I figured I out. DDJ-800 now has stems :)
