- Turnout is turning out to be quite low for the A's final season at the Oakland Coliseum, before heading to Sacramento and then Las Vegas. abc7ne.ws/3QyPU9h

I flew down from Alaska to catch the whole homestand and say goodbye to the Coliseum. My first A’s game was April of 68.
Since you saw the A's going back to their first month in Oakland in 1968 you should order yourself as a keepsake memento a copy of "The Ultimate Oakland Athletics Trivia Book"???
We heard pal , campy dropped a fly ball and youse lost 1-0 , we watched the video bud .
Bet your plane ticket cost more than the game tickets 😂
It's completely pathetic what John Fisher has done to this once storied franchise....and sad. :(
As of today, the A's are a surprising 18-21, while the Giants are a disappointing 17-22.
That was a nice stadium when it first opened in 1968 and the A's had a good team in the early 70's winning the world series in 72,73 and 74. But this current owner has put nothing into the team, and the Oakland coliseum has turned into a dump. It's not the team or the location, but the problem is the ownership!!!!!! 👍
Good point but attendance was horrible in 1974, with a fantastic team full of stars coming off back to back World Series championships…. The colosseum was in great condition…. What was the excuse in 1974?
@@togoandmossAnd then when the Athletics started going downhill when the 1975 A.L. championship ended there was that infamous home game in 1979 where there were only 600-something announced people at the game played at its original starting time and date🤭.
@@gregpaspatis9425 so they didn’t go in 1974 because they knew the team would trade players next year? So the poor fans can see the future? 🤔🤔🤔
The A's were dominant attendance draws in the 1980s, when they had a good team and ownership that was investing in their success. They had nearly 3 million fans in 1990, the last season they were AL champs. They can draw fans when they win games, to a degree.
@@billslocum9819Oakland did well with the fans for a brief maybe 10 year period. But It’s been bad attendance for 30 years
I don’t know anything about the A’s current ownership, but Charlie Finley did basically the same thing to Kansas City when he moved the A’s out of KC to Oakland. I went to A’s games with my dad when they were in KC in the late 50’s and early 60’s. Then they moved. Team owners are ruthless, in many cases. They hold cities hostage, want their stadiums built with taxpayer funds and make huge profits putting mediocre teams on the field. It’s happening again in Kansas City right now.
All about the 💸💵💰. A nomadic franchise. Philadelphia to KC to Oakland to Vegas. Thanks for setting the record straight.
Had to chuckle at the 10ish year old talking about his whole childhood lol
I was thinking the same thing. Bless his little 10 year old heart, though.
Because real A's fans wont put another dollar in Fishers pocket.
Its called "Boycott" !!!
This is a sad situation. The A's were once a great team winning 3 World Series in the 1970's and on more in 1989. There have been many other good A's teams that made the playoffs. To see the stadium in disrepair, poor attendance, and horrible play the last few years is an abomination. The loyal A's fans do not deserve to be treated shabbily.
Manfred and Fisher have killed off an entire fanbase.
small potatoes compared to Oakland voters and political goofs killing off public safety and entire city population
Why would you go and watch a team that is bailing out on the area?
Maybe because it is the last chance to relive memories, like many in the video are doing.
After this season, there will be no Major League Baseball in Oakland for the foreseeable future.
Might as well go and enjoy one more time what you’re not going to have again anytime soon, if ever.
Many folks are still A's fans even if they leave for Vegas. What kind of fan are you to turn your back on the team just because they left the city you live/were born in? City loyalty is nuts 😆
Poor little beautiful Oakland. God Damn. Raiders, Warriors, Athletics. Went to A's for birthdays. Went to A's during Highschool. Went to A's games instead of work. Break my heart.
More like look what John Fisher did to this team...
John Fisher charges some of the highest ticket prices in baseball but fields a AA team......it won't change if he moves to Vegas......
This Fisher guy sounds like that evil owner from the movie Major League.
Fisher just wants to get them to Vegas and flip them and make millions.
That is it.
He can't. He has to keep the team for X years before selling without any penalty.
Same thing Dean Spanos owner of the Chargers did to San Diego. Took the team to LA to flip n make millions. Greed
Just imagine if this team had an owner that cared about winning.
Just got to understand that if they aren’t gonna stay , we must deal with our own lives if it’s not gonna stay here why help them build something you aren’t gonna be a part off. So that’s why I don’t show up
Sorry Oakland you have to experience this....I remember the bash brothers back in the day.
My father and grandfather had to experience the A’s leaving Philadelphia. That was much worse. Won 5 World Series in Philly and Oakland refused to recognize the historical teams.
How funny would it be if the A’s won the division and we’re hosting playoff games in front of 5,000 people?
So the Rays
Seems like you can get a $25 ticket and sit wherever you want.
and if you're lucky, the smashed glass when you return to your car after the game, will be replaced by monday.
Money ball is dead RIP😢
An end to an era this sad fr. And i’m a giants fan
As an angels fan on the other side, we understand the mismanagement. Our owner has money, but thinks he knows whats good for the team and here we are at the bottom of the AL West and attendance is bleak. The A's fans deserve better and the owner and mlb should be ashamed for taking baseball away from a loyal fanbase
There was an In -n Out Burger close to the Coliseum. It recently closed due to the number of car break-ins right in their parking lot. It was insane , many of them in broad daylight and caught on video.
My point?
It's not Fisher's fault Oakland is a crime-ridden dump that most sane people avoid.
It's the mayor and the leaders fault. Fisher is at fault for ruining the team and driving fans away. Cities like New York in their most crime ridden moments still had people who loved the team. The Raider fans packed that place regardless of crime near by. Fisher has plenty of blame.
so what happens if this is the same attendance in vegas?
Wouldn't happen
@@brz.oph1 Las Vegas will be Miami West after a few years. Empty.
Difference is they’ll attract other events to a new venue. Sorry Brokeland. You’ll lose all your teams. A lawless city $20 million in debt.
I'm sure that rich people in LV are not that spoiled 😂 Rich people love attending games, concerts, monster truck entertainment, festivals, etc and especially because they ain't got nothing to do but besides sitting at home with no plans. It will never be empty.
When don’t they just lower the price of the tickets to like $10. If you’re going to pay all the expenses to maintain the stadium & infrastructure, might as well have people come in, to buy food, drinks, parking etc.
Good. I'm a former A's fan, and as far as I'm concerned, they're still selling way too many tickets. I want that place to be a graveyard. Don't give one red penny to Fisher.
ESPN would still rather show a football game with a smaller crowd than this, but not want to show a baseball game with 40,000.
When the A’s don’t spend anything at all on advertising or even have anything as far as the radio broadcast goes locally, how do you expect anyone to know when they are going to play a home game?
I agree with that little kid because I grew up in Castro Valley and always went to the games with my dad. I was born in 2006 and went alot and remember alot when those stands were filled.
West Sac is a nice baseball town for A's to play until the big move to Vegas. I grew up a Sacramento Rivercats fan so I'm pretty excited about the A's future success once they relocate.
Hopefully the city can get its act together and at least get the plumbing fixed up, If the Ballers do end up playing some games there.
It's too bad for what the city itself surrounding the stadium has become.
RIP Oakland Athletics, Vegas pro sports bout to be lit tho 👀
I’m planning a trip to Oakland to see my tigers play the A’s in so m September
I have never been to the coliseum. I have never even been to Oakland. Before this season is done, I'm gonna try to get to a A'S game so I can see for myself what all the talk is about the coliseum
Plan to tailgate!
@@707Southpaw I wanted to see inside the stadium
@@707Southpaw All I hear is it's the worst stadium in the league. I wanna see for myself what all the hate is about
If you can't make an A's game, go to a World Cup Qualifier. Like Columbia v. Ecuador.
As for the walk around during the game, cemented palace with upgrades long overdue. Spider web seats and a lot of stuff from the 1970's still in use. But you can't beat the weather: year round!
STAY IN OAKLAND!!!
SELL THE TEAM!
Too late! Blame the Oakland politicians.
@@michaelbilgen2976 no John Fisher has been wanting to move the A’s and have the Giants be the only team in the bay area. He’s always been a Giants fan. He was one of the families that were against the Giants leaving to Tampa Bay.
I'd rather them get a deal in Sacramento than Vegas. And Fisher and Manfred are boneheads.
The A's have become the modern day Port Rupert Mundy's.
I thought they relocated to Sacramento for the remainder of the season ?
That is next year.
When did the Rays start playing in Oakland and dress like Oakland
I guess the less fans the more they can win
WALL STREET owns MLB now so nothing surprised me about the A's moving .
what do you expect when the team and ownership give a GIANT MIDDLE FINGER to a city and the fans? Not buying tickets is the best and really only middle finger the fans can give back.
Who is saying they are surprised or expecting anything else?
Love that Oakland is acting like this attendance hasn’t been the trend even before they announced they’d leave. Any excuse for the past decade?
It the white sox exact same thing
Good, sell the team
Bobby Shanz is the last living Philadelphia Athletic and won the 1952 AL MVP. Oakland refuses to recognize the great Philadelphia teams that won 5 World Series!
I am betting they will draw better than 2900 when they play in Sacramento next year
As im watching yhis, the As are only 3.5 games out of first on their division
I'm so sad but this is sad I'm sure a million have said it but if u just keptbsum players and raised the cap we would have seen championships
That douche blaming the commissioner is stupid. If the city wasn’t so bad they would stay.
Game 19 must have had Yankees, or Showtime, or combination tarp, needle, heroin, fire starter kit give away.
Sad for the terrible ownership, Oakland should remain. Sad for the true A’s fans that got screwed. Money grab MLB and NFL charging for games now on Apple TV etc...cutting out the average die hard fan.....pathetic
Gona be even less once the Ballers season starts
They winning games tho
Wow that’s sad
They're living their team. Why should they support a terrible owner?
I’ll tell you this - - - they’re no longer going to be a farm club for the New York Yankees. Las Vegas will support them with honor. They will be able to purchase the best players and will be able to sustain them. I’m happy they left Oakland just like the Raiders. In fact, we’ll take your Golden State Warriors while we’re at it. They’re next!!
The last game at the Coliseum will sold out
The A's are gonna start winning as soon as they play in Vegas
This is sad. I understand the fans anger with a cheap and pathetic owner. These clowns have more money in their pockets than most people have in banks. Yet these clowns cry for the cities to pay for this, pay for that. Whatever the case once the A's leave the fans will miss them. Sadly the ONLY ONE who benefits from this move besides the new city is the owner. He gets money tossed at him. Basically he gets what he wanted.
John Fisher bought the A's for 180 million in 2005 and now they're estimated to be worth 1.18 billion. He's consistently had the lowest MLB payroll, but still made profits through revenue sharing and he's never once been in the Coliseum. How can he expect fans to show up when he trades away our top players to avoid paying big contracts. He expected Oakland to finance a new stadium and made it impossible to negotiate a deal as it was his plan to move the team from the beginning. And rather than staying in Oakland for the next 3 years, while the Las Vegas stadium is built, he chose to take them to Sacramento and use a Triple-A stadium. I hope that Las Vegas deal falls through and they get stuck in Sac!
And that it was you get for helping pad his bank account. You bugboy

Put tents up they will come lol
Nice!
Oakland as way better than astros
More people than a white sox game
More opportunity to go find a secluded place and get it on with your significant other 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fix the economy bring businesses to Oakland so people can work and afford the tickets
What, with democrats running things? They run everything into the ground.
Stop crying they're going to be in Sac not too far
Let's go dodgers!!!!
Glad they are leaving! They should’ve played ball at the Vegas triple a park tho not Sacramento
No one wants to go to Oakland and be a target to gankstirs
It’s the same thing in San Francisco so stop it
@@MrSpeedracer510 yeah SF is trash also
I think I know the others reason why Jon Fisher is moving the A's to Vegas is because the crime and homeless people in Oakland CA are getting worse these days for last several years
It’s just too obvious for bitter Oaklanders to admit.
I mean the team is pretty good this year. The players on the field are legit mlb players. Who cares if they aren’t all stars. Support your team or they will leave.
they're gone
they aren’t supporting the team because they’re leaving, not the other way around. a’s fans are some of the most passionate fans you’ll see
@@sodadrink8363 Yeah all 20 of them are passionate.
I love the A’s,but these people are delusional. I’m not saying the owners are perfect, but is it the A’s owners fault the Raiders and Warriors moved? Sorry folks.
Raiders and A's got free money in Vegas. No reason for Warriors to leave , great support for years but they wanted their own arena and can get more $ for tix being in overrated SF.
A's fans are lame... They deserve to lose their team
St Louis Rams pt 2. Youre gonna regret losing the A's
Forget about the Rams, that is football and they should have stayed in LA in the first place, someone screwed up that thing in the early 90s
FJF
This is so sad that the Oakland Athletics are moving to Las Vegas in three seasons or so. This is an absolute disgrace that team owner and the city of Oakland couldn’t agree to build a new stadium in Oakland instead of moving to Las Vegas. Also the A’s should get excellent players to win games and win multiple World Series Championships. The fans of Oakland Athletics deserve better. Another reason is the revenue and lack of attendance to see the Oakland Athletics home games. Truly unbelievable that the Oakland Athletics had to go through this unnecessary events. 👎😫😤😠😡🥵🤬🥲😂☹️🙁
When don’t they just lower the price of the tickets to like $10. If you’re going to pay all the expenses to maintain the stadium & infrastructure, might as well have people come in, to buy food, drinks, parking etc.
