Fan-made video of Nightwish playing Ghost Love Score with two vocals, Tarja Turunen's and Floor Jansen's. I just put two audio tracks on top of each other. I can't believe how well it came out without additional editing. The left video is from End of an Era concert in Helsinki, the right video is from Buenos Aires concert in 2012.
Please no discussion who is better, just enjoy the vocals of these two great singers.

It's really complicated to analyse who is better for many reasons and the comments section is really limited. They are both good, but different. Tarja is lyric, Floor is dramatic, the first is more classical, Floor is more ''heavy metal'', Tarja sings ONLY with classical voice, her speaking voice is weak ( she herself has stated that), Floor sings more with speaking voice. Afterwards, voices can only be compared under the same place and event, because each stage has different audio etc. All in all, they are both great and fit Nightwish, but they are DIFFERENT. It's up to you to decide who's to your own ears.
It's not that complicated :) If you prefer the more opera like rendition, it's Tarja, if you prefer the more metal sound, Floor.
George Jansen However, Floor has an advantage over Tarja... Floor can sing in operatic style, while Tarja cannot sing with speaking voice like Floor. It's a matter of taste, then, and which voice appeals to you more... :)
Both are awesome,I love Tarja's job I really do, but Floor just simply did a perfect job and that last scream near the end oh man!!! I don't how to express it but i think epic climax is close enough.
Think I just had an eargasm! How amazing it would be to have a show with both Tarja and Floor sharing the stage!
This was one of the coolest videos ever created. Ghost Love Score in both versions is magnificent but with two of the world's talented ladies singing in duet was just incredible

Escuche usted más música, Tarja es una soprano normalita sin estudios ni recursos que fué la primera en su género, pero que realmente nunca llegó a fusionar bien del todo bel canto y rock, compararla con Anette es absurdo pues esta no tiene nivel para otra cosa que no sea el pop comercial, pero de ahí a divinizar a Tarja hay un trecho. Por otro lado Floor es una cantante completa que puede hacer absolutamente de todo con una técnica vocal y registro realmente muy muy fuera de lo comun. De hecho como ya comenté como soprano tiene un registro una octava más alta que Tarja y otra serie de recursos, cualidades y fuerza y simpatía que ni Tarja ni Anete tendrán nunca
This is totally awesome. Imagine them really singing it together. It would be an amazing performance. Noone should ever tell me that Floor cannot sing Tarja´s songs. They are unique in their own ways but this song proofs that NW is coming back to its old self. Floor you are the new breath to NW. Everyone loves you im sure. May you stay in NW forever.

Tarja with this song is just pure magic. Untouched rare magic.
Floor with this song is fire, brightly burning, consuming fire.
I think both bring their own originality to this song and make it their own.
I still lean towards Tarja, because I love the song when it's sang a little softer, but Floor sells the hell out it at the end. Two great singers' depictions of a song and both are perfect 10s!!!!

Two very beautiful versions! At the end of this side-by-side comparison, it's like Tarja is saying, "I'm done. I'm going to go do my own thing. I leave you in the capable hands of Floor." Then Floor does her amazing finale!

Amazing video, beautifully synchronised. While Ghost Love Score was originally written for Tarja's voice, it shows just how much Floor believes in this song and commits her entire being to its performance. You can't compare the two of them. Both singers are extraordinary, both are Nightwish. End of discussion.

The music lost the emotion when Tarja went out and Anette came to replace her. Floor just gave us back the magic of Nightwish. Maybe she is different, but I enjoy very much hearing her voice.
I don't have the same opinion, I like Floor on ReVamp band, it's awesome.

I would love to hear them perform this song together... They sound magnficent. Although I love Floor for many years longer than I even known Tarja, I love them both. But I think Floor gives Ghost Love Score an extra boost by slowing it a little bit down until the end, where she gives it a bite. Love her touch too this song. The only thing missing in the performance of Floor is the confetti ;)

No, I think there couldn't be any type of war among them because both are great singers and performer. So There's no need to choose!! They both are just amazing!!!

Gonna put this out there: I saw the title and thought that it would sound horrible but it WORKS!!! I don't think Anette would have worked with either of them this way.

They both are amazing. I dont understand why is this urge of yours to take side and to mark one of them as better. They have their own style. Both versions are amazing. You can like Tarja and Nightwish with Floor at the same time, you know that?

I did a audio mix of the album version and the new live version from wacken.....lets just say OMG....there were times that i couldn't tell who was who. And Floor seems like she sang the album version closer than Tarja did on this version.

Another big difference between the two versions apart from the singers' voice is that Tuomas smiles in the second version and the band in general seems happier playing together ;) As much as I miss Tarja in Nightwish, the atmosphere in the band now is way better, Tuomas himself said so and even laughed at a later joke of the interviewer (for me the words 'Tuomas' and 'laugh' could not be combined until 2005 at least).After Floor's voice, this is the second reason I pray she stays in NW.
Weird. Parts of the guitar melody reminded me of April Wine's Could of Been a Lady, particularly near the end, around 8:25. I love that song too.
When the great finale starts 9.00 Tarja leaves the stage.. WTF?? Gotta love FLOOR!!

I prefer Tarja, but for this Song Floor has a better voice and her live act was much as better as Tarjas live act...
Watching this I can finally and definately say: FLOOR! I always thought she was the only one who could substitute Tarja.. Really happy to have her in the band, and hopefully she's gonna stay! :)

Floor Jansen clearly runs smoothly from start to finish, and the final part is the hallmark of superiority.

Tarja is the best.
That final "my fall" Floor sings doesn't really existed in the original version. Tarja leaves the stage early cause, first, she needs to change, they're recording a dvd and she changes clothes a lot, and second because there was "nothing" for her to do at the stage. Gotta love both ;)

It was recorded with a cell phone. Floor can sing like Tarja when he pleases.
I think both of them are pretty good. The band did the right choice in picking Floor. Because let's be honest here: there will be no more Nightwish with Tarja and we must all accept that. Floor is also a great singer and I finally can listen to nightwish old songs again. :D
