Realizing how hard Floor fought for her recognition in her homeland and how hard she also fought to bring metal and Nightwish to a wider main stream audience this is nothing less than a pure triomph! I hope that other big festivals like Rock Werchter, Sziget and Glastonbury see this and program Nightwish on a main stage. This band is just in a league of it's own.
Nightwish was already pretty well known before Floor, man. I'm 30. There was a kid at my school who was a hardcore Nightwish fan all the way back in 5th grade & would talk about it to anyone who would listen for the entire rest of my school years. And most people from that generation in the US have, at least, heard a Nightwish song, even if they don't know who they are.
Her first album with the band raised the bar for the entire Symphonic Metal genre. I know the rest of the band played a part, especially Tuomas, but not just any lead singer could have pulled that off.

pretty much the only genre that's not tainted by the scourge of autotune is metal. . .cue someone showing me a metal band that uses it. . .but then again, imo if a band uses autotune, then it's not metal. doesn't matter how "extreme" their sound is. . .

NIGHTWISH just gets better and better. i am 68 and have been to concerts for the best rock in the world 60s 70s 80s 90s 2k and today and even seen ELVIS 3 times. these guys and gal are fantastic
This was phenominal! People in the crowd were overheated but still (finally) appreciated Nightwish. Don't forget that in the Netherlands metal music is not as popular as in the Nordic countries. They made a huge impression! Nightwish is now a great band in The Netherlands. Thank you Floor! ❤
I still find it funny that I commented to a bunch of Dutch people that that only famous Dutch people I knew were Sharon Den Adel & Charlotte Wessels & had, like, three different people ask me who the hell they were. Lol

Nightwish will always be bigger than any one band member except for Tuomas perhaps. They have a history with much pain and beauty which is an important part of their story and evolution. I’m eternally grateful for everyone that has been a part of this amazing band.

I feel a little nostalgic about the new band’s spatial arrangement on the stage… but also I’m extremely grateful that nowadays they keep giving such amazing shows and live experiences. This new arrangement also gives me hope of what Nightwish will bring in the future after all the stories, dreams and madness they have given to us. 🥹♥️ Love this band so much!

This band kicks so much ass! I love that the bassist still looks like he could take a nap RIGHT NOW (bassists are either the calmest, lowest-energy of the band or absolute showboats) and Floor is so unapologetically a badass! That vocal range/control in the heat and at that energy level in a damn corset? And her shoulders/arms look like she is the concert security. I love love it! Love showing my kids these shows :D

She had the bad luck that latest nightwish albums are so weird and powerless. She is a great wasted voice, however songs of Tarja's era, she sings them amazingly

Thank you for posting this 3voor12. So nice to see a professionally recorded live performance from Nightwish at Pinkpop 2022 as opposed to lousy cell phone audio-visuals. Floor and the band sound and look amazing.
I was in Wacken 2013 and this band is like fine vine or whiskey, gets better over the years. But Wacken is still the greatest live show ever becouse the atmosphere and 80 000+ crowd. It eas insane.
Indeed, and: this show was a direct, "real time", live on Dutch TV. That is to say: recorded with professional gear (that captures everything, including small mistakes) but NO post processing. This is a real live record of what Nightwish and Floor and what they can do on a hot afternoon, at the end of a long series of performances around the world, and it is amazing!
I'm not a huge Nightwish fan, I do like some stuff of theirs though, like storytime/nemo etc but I have to say that Floor Jansen has to be the best lead vocalist out there, of any band/genre. She is amazingly talented, can't beat her in my opinion! Great stage presence! And not that a person's physical looks should be a marker of how awesome they are.........she's rather beautiful!

Floor, I just recently stumbled on to Nightwish (yeah, I live in a cave)...but I have to say, you have the most beautiful, powerful voice I have heard!!!! Raises the hair on my arms every time I hear you sing....and that includes the covers you sang on your Podcast.....:) Simply amazing!!!!!
Creo que Last Ride of they Day, es sin dudas, SU tema. Cada versión es tan impactante como la primera. No descubro nada si digo que ella puede cantar lo que se le ocurra. Desde After Forever conservo algunos vídeos cuando cantaba en pubs con su hermana. Afortunadamente para nosotros, ella ama cantar, más que respirar. Gracias por tanto Floor.

No siempre los músicos tienen la relación que se muestra en un show, son personas como vos, yo y los demás. Hay un documental corto en RUclips sobre Robert Plant, y su deseo de volver a la paz de sus propias raíces, que están en las antípodas de Led Zeppelin. Para comprender este fenómeno, recomiendo siempre ver la película Morher!. Allí se ilustra perfectamente lo que acabo de comentar. Igualmente muchas gracias por compartir tu inquietud.

Is there a whole concert available ? I listened to Wacken 2013 and this performance is also great. New bassist does his job very well. It feels like he is the part of music, but Hietala had more of that something one can feel and his singing is and will be missing part for that true Nightwish experience. Floor proved once again that she is the best, the true queen of symphonic metal.
I miss Marco but it does sound like the band aquired a talented bassist. Lets see what Tuomas and the rest can craft special with his talents. I'm over fans, which many bands have in excess, that aren't willing to embrace the good of today due to the good of yesterday. A special shoot out to Journey fans with this remark.

А Тарья ушла 19 лет назад, а Флор был с NW дольше, чем Тарья. Nightwish также во многом обязаны своим нынешним успехом Флору, который, например, сделал Ghost Love Score самой комментируемой музыкальной песней на RUclips. 2/3 нынешних фанатов приходятся на Флор.

lol underrated? Only here in the Netherlands (until she starred in ''beste zangers'') but the rest of the world has been acknowledging her qualities for decades.
The Great thing about this show is that the music is less compressed, makes it more dynamic! Floor and Nightwish are doing great!
Almost 10 years with 'Nightwish', & she hasn't aged a day. She just gets better & grows more beautiful. There's magic in this woman.

I was in Wacken 2013 and this band is like fine vine or whiskey, gets better over the years. But Wacken is still the greatest live show ever becouse the atmosphere and 80 000+ crowd. It eas insane.
Part of the reason in my opinion is always the bonus of nighttime shows.
Indeed, and: this show was a direct, "real time", live on Dutch TV. That is to say: recorded with professional gear (that captures everything, including small mistakes) but NO post processing. This is a real live record of what Nightwish and Floor and what they can do on a hot afternoon, at the end of a long series of performances around the world, and it is amazing!

I'm not a huge Nightwish fan, I do like some stuff of theirs though, like storytime/nemo etc but I have to say that Floor Jansen has to be the best lead vocalist out there, of any band/genre. She is amazingly talented, can't beat her in my opinion! Great stage presence!
And not that a person's physical looks should be a marker of how awesome they are.........she's rather beautiful!

No descubro nada si digo que ella puede cantar lo que se le ocurra. Desde After Forever conservo algunos vídeos cuando cantaba en pubs con su hermana.

Sabido es el desgaste que provocan las giras. No siempre los músicos tienen la relación que se muestra en un show, son personas como vos, yo y los demás.
Hay un documental corto en RUclips sobre Robert Plant, y su deseo de volver a la paz de sus propias raíces, que están en las antípodas de Led Zeppelin.
Para comprender este fenómeno, recomiendo siempre ver la película Morher!.

I really like how Operatic Floor is on these two songs here, showing a more old school feel, but not to much, but songs like Nemo, really need it.

Is there a whole concert available ? I listened to Wacken 2013 and this performance is also great. New bassist does his job very well. It feels like he is the part of music, but Hietala had more of that something one can feel and his singing is and will be missing part for that true Nightwish experience. Floor proved once again that she is the best, the true queen of symphonic metal.
I miss Marco but it does sound like the band aquired a talented bassist. Lets see what Tuomas and the rest can craft special with his talents. I'm over fans, which many bands have in excess, that aren't willing to embrace the good of today due to the good of yesterday. A special shoot out to Journey fans with this remark.

А Тарья ушла 19 лет назад, а Флор был с NW дольше, чем Тарья. Nightwish также во многом обязаны своим нынешним успехом Флору, который, например, сделал Ghost Love Score самой комментируемой музыкальной песней на RUclips. 2/3 нынешних фанатов приходятся на Флор.
