Thank you Ryan for your video. I think what sounded even the closest in my mind to a spring reverb was the dark wall setting. Sounds like if you played around with that you might have gotten closer. I've got a two spring River tank in my monoprice 15 watt or over where you want now the the Harley-Davidson 215. And the I'm going to buy a replacement for reverb tank I think it's three springs and a bit longer it's supposed to make a really big difference. The reverb is nice but I'd like it a little a little bit more heavy I guess I'll call it with a bit more delay that's the right word
I tried the free 3 day trial through Amplitudes custom shop on line . And I was quite surprised to hear that it sounded like a dirty ass . I also tried the other 3 pedals released in the same series ie , the distortion , the chorus , and the delay. None of them sounded right to me for the price point. They are nothing special , in fact they are the only 4 pedals I don't own from the on line Amplitude custom shop . Everything else sounds great to me ,in fact I prefer Amplitude5 over a number of other high profile VST type effects for guitar services .So I was again ,quite surprised that this line failed to make the grade.
I guess the expectation for church is a european/american thing (IK Multimedia is an italian company). Growing up in germany, a church was always a big old stone building, no matter if it was in a small rural town or a big city. With pedals like this I always wonder if it would have been better to reduce the number of models and buttons and concentrate on just adding useful sounds. It's tempting with modern DSP stuff to try and do everything, but especially in pedal form I don't really see the appeal of moving through stacks of menus. With a pedal I want to be able to play with the knobs until I find a useful sound.
I'd love to see Arturia's spring and Hall reverb plugins in a pedal. Pretty Resource heavy DSP stuff..... Don't think they have an official hall/room style reverb plug-in.... But they most have those fun their other plugins to fill out the verbs it should run fine on the equivalent of a mid-tier budget smartphones CPU and RAM. That would be a sick guitar pedal...
I genuinely aspire one day be invited and attend 42GS to hangout and nerd out on gear. I would perhaps refrain from too much parking lot drinking thought, as my drinking ability is quite literally the stuff of legend! Ha! Great demo BTW!✌
no spring reverb in emulation form ever really sounds like the real thing, what's strange about this topic of spring reverb is in how the amplitube amp sim by ik multimedia does an excellent spring reverb tone that does sound like your requesting/wishing, so what doesn't make sense is why the company that makes the amplitube amp sim with built in spring reverb wouldn't be able to put that into the pedal. My theory is that if they did so then there would be no reason to buy the amplitube products. Either way, the room sound is nice and so are many others. I don't really care for spring reverb myself but I can see you really do. I enjoyed hearing the inspector gadget riff, that was unexpected.
It seemed like you were on 'Dark Hal' the whole time even though you were selecting other settings. Not sure, but I think that might be why it sounded lo-fi throughout. It was like you were just putting different overlays over the 'Dark Hal' sound? Not sure though at all. :-)
Was this recorded going into a mic'd amp or using the cab sim? AmpliTube makes all the deaktop plugin stuff right? Says on the Sweetwater listing it has built in cab sims.
I don't have the X-Space, but I have the X-Time and X-Vibe, both of which I think are excellent. But that bit rate or bit reduction sound you were getting, made me think there is something not right. With the pedal or the recording setup. Because the fidelity on my pedals is excellent, and they never do that effect. Maybe the sound isn't your taste, but that stuttering bit/digital stuff, is something is clearly wrong.
After you switched to "Ethereal" you played with another knob and it immediately switched back to "Dark Hall". I suspect that particular knob was the source of most of your problems with the unit. Did you actually read the labels first?
Of course it's very possible that Henning gave you a faulty unit that constantly fell back to Dark Hall no matter which reverb you chose as a joke. I wouldn't put it past him.
First: you have some ODD friends! Second: too many knobs on that thing! Third: I have effects in Guitar Rig that sound identical to that unit. Conclusion: good for the studio, I'd never use anything that complex live - too much room for screw-ups.
I think my joyo atmosphere actually sounds better than this, has a good range of sounds and 3 knobs, so even an idiot like me can get the sounds they want. This thing looks cool, but waaaay to many knobs and sounds kinda crap.
Watching now, and I’m not impressed by that pedal. I don’t think I would take it if it were offered to me for free. Try turning down that reverb you love so much, and you might get some better sounds, but I’m not impressed by it.
@@JeffBee1 Nope, I’m not greedy. I don’t like it, so I wouldn’t take it. I’m sure there are some people that will get themselves one, and that’s cool too. Groove on.
I liked it, I can see now that these kinds of things are useful

If anyone wants to see a good demo of this pedal Chords of Orion does a good one,he actually knows how to use the pedal
Chords of Orion is a great channel.

Check out the UAFX Golden Reverberator

I was wondering the same thing, dont think it should have kept going back to dark hall on the screen.
I really don't think you gave this the chance it deserves! Maybe come back to it when you know more on how to use it!
I wish you could go through the other presets to see how those reverbs would sound like with other parameters
Me too.
Its pretty solid, love that slap back for that surf tone. I'd be down to give this pedal a try.
It's got lots of knobs, does it drip.
Where is that German chap when you need him. . . .
Was this recorded going into a mic'd amp or using the cab sim? AmpliTube makes all the deaktop plugin stuff right? Says on the Sweetwater listing it has built in cab sims.
Sounds harsh and brittle to my ears, pass.
Henning's got a potty mouth, lol. 🤬

Does it really do reverb better than a Boss RV3 or Oceans 11?
No
I wish the church setting sounded like a youth group basement with shitty acoustics.
sounds like old couches and bean bags.
HP: "Here, Ryan, review this new reverb pedal"
RB "Is there a manual with it?"
HP... Silence.
at this point you should post a list with reverb pedals that drip (unless you've already done so0!
I'm a sucker for shimmer reverbs, I'm glad you skipped by them as I can't afford this. 😆
The spring sounds almost similar to that lo fi click of a Holy Grail spring setting.
No drip, no sale!
Ryan is doing Nothing's "the dead are dumb" riff accidentally in 16:22-ish
You should have adjusted the parameters....bottom left knob to deep dive in the settings. You would've got your drip sound. Yes it was operator error!
Bizarre, this doesn't sound _anything_ like the reverbs in the AmpliTube plugin. I'd say the spring drips there.

Spring reverb is not a spring at all. I like the plugin version of this but the reverb aren't super true to their names.
Reel Ten by The Plugz
I think I’m way too much of a caveman for this pedal. And that’s a shame because it does have a lot of very cool sounds.
53rd like, lucky number, and yea, ITS DRIPPY
l like the color...
wow if i was amplitube .... (i wouldnt be very happy)

Dang. Got here late.
You human say it isn't so.

This is a stupid question...
is it?
