@@JayTheLane It’s very similar to the Big Sky actually 😂 In a blind test, I can guarantee you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart with any regularity. One big difference, this pedal allows more parameter editing, so if you really want to customize, this is a better choice.
😂 Guarantee, if you did a blind test, you wouldn’t be able to tell them apart regularly. Mix engineer here, owned all kinds of reverbs. This reverb is extremely close to the Big Sky. However, editing is deeper on this pedal, you can get to all the parameters under the hood, not just the knobs. Use what you like, but this pedal is, in fact, very much like Blue Sky. That said I’d recommend a Walrus R2 instead of either of them.
Well, analog is analog and the color you get from analog hear is amazing, but when it comes to complex, huge, multi dimensional reverb nothing can beat amazing plugins like Valhalla Vintageverb (wich is a plugin)
Hilarious how people will claim the Big Sky sounds better than a plugin when literally the Big Sky is a plugin in a box. It’s exactly the same thing, it’s just running on a little computer in the pedal, not on your desktop or laptop.
Anyway ‘analog reverb’ isn’t really a thing, unless you’re talking about spring reverb, or a plate reverb (which is huge), or putting a mic in a room with a speaker and making an echo chamber. Literally every single reverb pedal except for anything with a spring in it, is digital. And is therefore, a plugin in a box.
Nice job on making the reverb mix higher. Easy to hear the pedal that way.
When I see a pedal demo I like to see a discussion of how easy the pedal is to use, how to change parameters, etc.
To change a parameter, turn one of the parameter knobs. Just like every other pedal.
This sounds amazing J.. I can imagine a great sci-fi film soundtrack coming out of this beauty and you’re the one to do it! Dune II?
Great sound! Might have to get one
You should play 50s rock 'n roll, that's your talent!
Sounds great, how do you think this compares to the Big Sky?
Think the Big Sky is the de facto standard. If this is essentially a plugin in a box I doubt it will be as good.

Wow that pedal sounds amazing, you think it can go toe to toe with the Strymon Big Sky?
It does not.

@@sub-jec-tivwhy the walrus r2?
@@MaTTheWish walrus r2 is great
Ok but does hav tht magical verb tht sounds great even to those tht dont like reverb .
It's not a lexicon. Neither are the pedals lol
2020s Plugin quality
2000s Studio quality
1980s Rack quality
Wow those spring reverbs sound truly awful...you'd think IK would have figured it out by now.
"Plugin quality" is now a thing zoomers believe in.

Okay boomer
