Good to see you back out on the course James - I’m noticing more and more how often I echo your “golf is a funny old game” sentiment when I’m playing 😂 although I’m currently working my way through a complete loss of form. Lovely looking course Betws y Coed and a bargain too - we used to stop in the village at the falls for fish and chips there on our way back from day trips to Anglesey - happy days. Ah well, I’m back out there tomorrow to see what the day brings. 🤔
On some holes I don't think I was lining up the ball correctly. You could see a few putts were hit straight but a foot or so either side! Going to play the next few rounds with a pure white ball... :)
Tough round, but that magical chip at the end must have left you coming off with a nice feeling. Thanks for the content, always enjoyable however you’re playing.
15 handicap? I seriously think you are more of a 24-28 handicap judging by the way you play and the scores you post. Do you have lessons? How regularly do you practice? Just curious. You said this was one of the easier courses in the area. What would you expect to shoot for 9 on one of the tougher ones? Aim to break 50 I guess
Good round. Sometimes the breaks go your way, sometimes they don't. You have good ball speed when you putt on the green. Like you said, it is hard to judge how the fringe will react with your ball when you putt from off the green.
James, been a fan of your videos for around a year now. Really enjoy your approach to the videos (me and my mate constantly say ‘it’s a funny old game’ whilst on the course! 😂 Noticed you seem to play alone most of the time, I’m sure you don’t but FANCY A ROUND!? 😂 I live near Hawarden you must be local with that North Wales accent!
I'm playing last minute a lot right now. Only played 18 holes once this year so maybe at the end of the summer? I will be down your way playing many of the courses soon :)
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 That would be awesome mate, happy for 9 holes though if at one of those ^ beauties! Look forward to it though it would be great to play with you one time. Cheers James
Thanks James, another enjoyable video. Using different irons for the first time in a while affect your scoring quite a bit. You did OK all things considered. A great looking course!...
Love your positive energy. I tried twice by email to have club send me a ball marker with the club name on it to no avail. Family emigrated to Montreal from Wales.. Presidents cup is in full swing not far from my home. Go international…( Bews)
Really good video. Very tight course. Perhaps you are playing with the wrong balls - I believe that they are better suited to players with very fast swing speeds.
these are getting shorter lengths won't be watching any more of you james sorry but I thought you would put up longer videos then this seems where having some decent weather you shorten your videos down really basic and you just get into ot and it's finished before you shut your eyes and blink this is my opinion and it would be nice to start seeing at least a full hour of you playing a full round of 18 holes and you not talk through them and play more different golf courses in stead of Wales go further out as not sure if you married and that's why you carnt do this for some reason or work commitments kind regards
If you are a -5 handicap your slope rating as is probably this course really low ! I would say you are worse than an average bogey golfer elsewhere, not being horrible or just judging scores ( 20-22) handicap in real money
Lovely looking course, great video, worth the wait for the final hole.
Beautiful golf course, always love your content. You must be the most positive golfer on the planet
I really like the scenery on this course. It's flat as a pancake too so an easy walk... :)
Thanks for posting James, we saw the good the bad and the ugly. When the music starts to play, we know we are entering clown world 😂
What a stunning looking course James. Definitely somewhere to visit. Genuine golf from a genuine bloke.👍👍🏌️🏌️
Thanks for watching :)
Great to see you posting in the UK again in the last couple of videos.
Keep it up, James. Really enjoy the golf and your content ⛳️👏🏻
Love the ball James, really easy to see the line and roll on the greens
A great finish

Lovely video. Well done!
Enjoyable viewing, keep it up James.😊
Ps, if you want to sharpen your short game, follow James Grieve , he is a genius.
Always enjoy your vlogs and commentary. Played Betsy last year shot 39. Keep up the good work
It's a nice track. That pair of 200 yd+ par 3s must wreck many scorecards! :)
@@notaperfectgolfer3489
I agree I'm not a fan of 200 ysrd par 3s unless they're downhill
Most enjoyable James, that TM ball was definitely to blame!

Great video as always
Cheers Andy, thanks for watching :)

Sometimes with golf I feel like I already won just by being on the course. People can get too caught up with scoring...
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 very true. Your mindset on the course is always nice to see.

Phlegmatic James, even in the face of a nasty triple bogey. Exuding calm.

Just one of those days James we all have them😊
Cheers Dirk, thanks for viewing :)

Great timing!! Enjoy this round with my lunch...maybe crack open a beer.
Good luck & RUN VT!!

A great looking course!...
Should play sandfield Mickle Trafford Chester really well kept 9 hole course
I had a swim in that river 41 years ago!
Before 'wild swimming' was invented! :)

Can’t go wrong for a £9 round
The putting stroke looks a lot better.
33' has changed everything :)

don't worry .. happier endings when you get back to Thailand in winter hopefully ...
No back swing.
A 14.9 hcp Who plays only short courses. Thats the secret tò be a 14.9😂
