Makes total sense why companies like Behringer and inMusic are creeping up on the big names.
Price fixing with only your two biggest competitors will only ruin you over a long period of time. This works for organizations like OPEC because they include the biggest oil producers in the world. For Fender, Roland and Korg it might work for a generation, but the new generation of kids who could never afford that stuff, are going to grow up loving the cheap stuff, and they’re going to replace those dinosaurs because they don’t have any need for them.

About AI creating riffs: to feel what Doelphin feels you need to be a Doelphin. AI can't find good riffs cuz it is about feelings, and energy, not math. At least not in shape it is at this moment. Same with AI drawing hands, people missed details and been accepting pics with wonky hands and it learned AI that this is how hand is looking. Did not help AI could see pictures of hand skeleton, it still does not understand what it draws. It only learns what we accept as effect or calculations. It does need us to know and i hope it will stay this way. As to think doelphin you need to be a doelphin so when it really start to think on its own we might have already scewed by this time...

Also, I find it very funny as well as troubling that when a record label and or band doesn't want to license their music for whatever project, that's it's perfectly legal for whomever to use a sound alike ... yeah, we've all heard this term before, "a sound alike" to then produce a copy cat version of that song, including the voice, that they wanted to use in the 1st place. It's a legal bypass, legal loophole. Sure, you still pay licensing fees for the music, etc. There are thousands of songs out there that are legal copycats. Just do a Google search. I've listen to podcasts where copyright lawyers have said that all these produces of these A.I. songs have to do is clearly label the song as "satire" or, "in the style of" ... that this fact alone would shield anyone from copyright claims and or a take down of their song. Sorry but there are 1,000 guys out there that sounded like Drake before Drake sounded like Drake. It's silly. This is why these lawsuits will fail. There is literally no legal ground whatsoever. This I can promise. Same thing with A.I. generated art. You mean, I can legally take my oil paints, an empty canvas and then copy the art style of Picasso or Monet but a computer can't? Man, GET THE FCK OUTTA here. Sorry, a powerful computer and it's CPU / GPU is no different than if I had 1,000,000 hands, fingers, arms, muscle memories, thousands of brains and I used all that to paint 1,000,000 canvas's at the same time. Same difference. That's what technology is. Best, faster, stronger. And even if something were to legally block this from happening in the US, there is still the rest of the world. I mean, 270,000,00 people might be blocked here in the USA but not the other 4+ billion people. The rest of the world is using A.I. music and art but not the USA? WTF .... Talk about the rest of the world pulling ahead of the USA in science and arts.

Dude, your car has AI, your cell phone has A.I. ... A.I. is used to produce and manufacture your food, your electronics. A.I. is used for weather gathering information, A.I. is used to develop new medications and or re-engineer medications to be more effective. A.I. is everywhere. But, we can't use it in music? that's is lame very poor logic. The very purpose of technology is to make lives easier and better, to enhance them. There are a lot of very creative people out there that might not have time to write a song or produce the needed music. A busy mom, a busy college student, or some 15 year old kid that's poor and doesn't have a way into education or the money to get started. Why couldn't these people use a $10 - $15 A.I. app if they want to produce the next summer banger on their cell phone. Weaver, you're logic is just not there and it doesn't add up. Are you speaking from fear? Be honest. Don't answer me but if you want, silently think about what you're really concerned with a bout A.I. People should still be able to be creative, regardless of race, income level, education. A.I. helps them to do so. I'm feel bad and sorry that you don't want to consider this. All professional artists use WACOM graphics tablet to produce art. Musician's use very power DAW's now to help them with creativity. Some 15 year kid can't use A.I. to help him write, sing, produce a song? Man, c'mon dude.

It is against the law to impersonate someone’s likeness…also if you use ai to copy some famous person’s voice and flow how is that being “creative”. It would only be creative to invent your own style and flow with your own voice. It would also probably be quicker to record your own idea than to try and get AI to generate it as most of what AI generated is garbage.

@@BatteryCoverMissing For satire, no. Or in the style of, no. These people just need to change the parameters around a bit if using A.I. they are literally so close to not having an issue that I am surprised people go full r3t4rd. Never go full r3t4rd. I think in the future, you're going to see people basically releasing songs and getting it super close to the singers voice but just not going over the line. We will see. There are some very interesting podcasts out there where copyright lawyers do a much better job of explaining what you can and cannot do with A.I. There is a lot of copycat music and singers in movies and shows. Lot of the public doesn't realize it because it's
copycat etc. There is a band called Led Zepagain, a Led Zeppelin tribute band out ... and they 99% sound like Led Zeppelin ... amazing stuff. I remember an interview with Robert Plant and he said, there was nothing they could do but then he said, besides, I rather like them. There are hundreds of tribute bands, lot of the real bands hate them but, not sure what legalities they are able to operate under and or release music. Listen to Led Zepagain's studio releases, you will not be able to tell the difference, that I promise. They are so good, Jimmy Page invited to England's O2 Arena with Led Zeppelin performed there. Anyways, I just think it's funny that people are so against A.I. in music. It's going to happen regardless.
