Lasts on my skin and clothes..wife even complemented me on it after taking a shower as the scent still remained. In my opinion an absolute gem and welcome addition to my Gentleman collection..👍🏻💪🏻

Hi Chris, I do agree with you. Boisee is a truly remarkable, lovely masculine scent. I told the sales lady that I was looking for a seductive fragrance for date nights and close encounters, and she pulled up the Gentleman lineup right away. Boisee stood out at the sweetest , warmest one in my opinion. I sprayed generously on the back of both my hands , and I totally agree what you say about its lackluster projection. The smell lasted some 6-7 on my skin, but I had to get my nose very close to catch it. I did not spray it on my clothes, so I cannot comment about that.
Still debating whether buying it or not, but most probably will. I love the scent and I don't really have a date fragrance other than Polo Red EDT. It's still very costly at retail shops and even at discounters the 60ml size is very hard to find.Thanks for the great content and cheers from Canada

Only just tested this (yes I am late to the show) but I was pleasantly surprised how good it smelled and how long it lasted. The dry down is beautiful, even better than the opening imo and I got a good 5-6 hours from it.
Same thing happened with me with Azzaro Wanted by Night. It faded away from my skin in less then 30 minutes or so after a gorgeous opening whereas lots of reviews positively praise its performance. I am also disappointed with my 45ml Acqui di Gio Profumo (a massive performer to most of human beings) as it last only 3 to 4 hours on my skin. Bottom line is: there's no such thing as great performance in the fragrance industry but performance according to each individual skin.

Amazing scent from Givenchy at last! Unlike nauseous and terrible Gentleman EDP 2018 and awful cologne. I spent my money for 100 ml without any regrets. I recommend this fragrance for all. Test this EDP Boisee on skin and then make conclusions.
Lasts a long time for me :) Smells pretty darn good as well!
Sad Chris, one of my favs. I’m more of a fall winter cologne, and clothing kid of guy. I also live in Canada so...
Projection lacks a little for me but the longevity on me is decent thankfully. I enjoy the smell a lot I get the iris fairly well and a good amount of spices up top and as it dries the spices tone down a little and I get the woods blending with the iris and a slightly sweet coco powder.

Could just be me but sadly I was disappointed.
This is just his opinion and experience. Your experience may be very different as mine was. Boisee is the best of the Givenchy Gentleman line in my opinion. Love this.
Just purchased Givency Gentlemen Boisee as well Givency Patchouli De Minuit and my favorite is Givency Play Intense love that Coffee vibe
Looking at the note breakdown, I would have thought they were actually taking advantage of the Dior Homme reformulation! Oh well. Maybe next release! Great review as always Chris!

Hi , yes I’m with you on gentleman Boisee. Loved the opening notes on this perfume but within 10 minutes the scent had almost gone completely, very disappointed 🙃

Drydown is sweet and a bit woody.

I had a different experience, lasted all day, and it was picked up I the air throughout the entire work day. Switched to versace for a while but always thought about getting another Gentleman.
No projection ? Brother 4-5 sprays and my whole car smells . Scebt bubble at work for like 5 hrs at least
I have this issue with a lot of frags. on my skin. Ysl Y Edp goes away with in 15 mins to a faint skin scent. Funny enough my left wrist holds nothing. I do not know why but even if i spray twice as much on left side ANY scent is gone very fast but stays forever on my right.
I haven't bought on any online just mainstream retail (not that I am against it) but I wondered if when someone says this or that doesn't last and blame online retailers or batches or reformlulations that it might just chemistry with their skin or age of the juice. Granted announced reformulation would be different then suspected changes.
Just my random thoughts great video.
Strange I bought y from ysl as the eau de parfum and it last forever. I can literally smell it on the next day. But, it was my first blind buy and my last. I don't like the scent at all, it's a penetrant thing for me, and not nice at all.
Looking foward to try and review this one my self.

@@IesusLucero After owning Coach for Men and then Gentleman EDT, I stopped liking Coach for Men. Gentleman EDT is (in my opinion) better than Coach for Men.

I did see someone else saying it was pretty good but I don't remember what he said about performance. I think he said something about using as a club or bar scent so that leads me to believe it has decent performance. So maybe it's unfortunately your skin. It definitely sounds interesting. Going to have to trst for myself
Jusst bought a 100ml recently, the opening is very catchy and refreshing I think this is definitey a summer-nights kinda fragarance.
My husband didn’t care for this. He said it had no staying power and was too powdery. Big disappointment on this one. Thank goodness he only had a sample.
I’m with you 💯 I was working on a stand outside boots in a shopping centre last week. And dived in a few times to try a few things. I sprayed this on skin and was like wow ok. I found it sat perfectly between prada L’Homme and DHI. Within an hour it was gone completely. BIG disappointment. I think I my next iris scent will be Valentino Uomo intense.

I was going to blind buy this fragrance based on the 2018 Eau De Parfum.I was confident that it would be a great buy.I'm very surprised by this fashion house.I'm very let down by this review. Maybe if you try a decant, i love boisee more than EDP but boisee does not projects. I like it soo much that i buy it anyways. You should try at least in a perfume store. For some people is the Best of the line.

I wasn’t a big fan of the original EDP, it just wasn’t my type of scent, but I really liked this one, maybe that helps
You are right, on me it lasts less than half an hour...even with multiple applications. Sucks because i like this one more than the edp.

I get nothing at first spray. No opening at all but the dry down for me is nice. Nothing earth shattering but I could smell it with movement. Walking around I could smell it. Sitting still not so much. I was hoping for more spice/pepper with the iris.
What a pity and this is such a nice line up. Will try it when I get a chance since I enjoyed the samples of the EDP, and EDT.
The smell is great but the perfomance is bad ,its not working for me as well , i own this bottle but i'm dissapoint too .. :(

Had that with a few fragrances,loved it on paper but not as good on skin.
It's so annoying!
This is best when sprayed on clothing and skin combined. Also, because it’s more of a skin scent, rest to combine with other fragrances.

THE BEST Iris based perfume is Dior Homme Eau...Fresh Irish and it is POTENT it could fill a room...

My top 2 are the EDP & then the Cologne, so, I'd love to check this one out regardless. Is it possible noseblind/anosmic? I definitely get anosmic to Valentino Uomo Intense..
I absolutely love this scent. But agree that projection and performance are pretty weak.
I'm curious how does this compare to Dior Homme 2011 edt? From your review, I sort of get the vibe that this is probably closer to the 2011 edt rather than Intense.
I live in tropical weather where it's always 30+ degree heat all year round so I'm secretly hoped it might perform well under high heat condition.

I agree wholeheartedly, my first impression was generally a good blend, but nothing special and poor performance. Chris proves his integrity with this correct appraisal, viewers are looking for an honest review. Maybe Givenchy got the timing wrong, as this DNA would have been interesting a few years ago, but not now as the market is literally flooded with this type of scent!
Weird. Lasts on my skin super long. I feel like it could even be toned down a bit. Projection 18inches. Been 5hrs and still protecting on skin. Warm, cedar, nutmeg a bit of clove. I don't get cacao. But potent, classy and warm for sure. Lasts long
My 2019 bottle of Dior Homme Intense have the exactly same issues... no projection, no longevity. I would say it's fake if it was not for that Dior sprayer and the scent is what it should be. It seems it is a trend in all designers..

@@FRAGMENTAL definatelly guys , a company when hits gold with a frag that sells like hot cakes never looses its mind and try to shave off some thousands of dollars in raw materials and risk killing the duck with the golden egg , its always the regilations , some fargs have theyre own reasons , but when a frag sells you dont touch it for no reason , if the reason in the one out of millions of cases is the rise of raw material cost which translates in pennies per bottle you bump up for dollars and you double win , its always the regs

Hi Chris, good honest review, tbh I'm the same with the EDP. It smells lovely for first hour then I get nothing, barely a skin scent.. it probably lasts another hour or so as a skin scent then gone....like you it smelt beautiful of tester.. ou D's like this is same...

The regular Gentleman EDP is so gorgeous this one seems redundant. I heard somewhere that a parfum version is coming out this year...have you heard anything about that?
I'm afraid this is gonna be the year of companies looking for money over community taste. It's always been there, but now is like they're doing it openly. The year of blue frags and the year of adding extreme versatility on things that were not born to do that. Big disappointment with the DH 2020 line first, and now I can't believe Nathalie Lorson, author of complex and rich creations, has yielded to this dynamic.
I only prefer Gentlemen Absolute from that line
I have the Dior home line I have Valentino uomo line I decided to not get into this line it's redundant I do like the ones I have tried , which is most of them
Gentlemen only absolute is pretty nice it's like spice bomb extreme but more grown up
The vintage gentleman was really nice I kinda hope they bring that back but some diacouters still have it I believe
The new gentleman EDT is actually something I think if it was released by Prada everyone would be talking about it has a Prada DNA but lacks the Prada touch if that is remotely sensible description for you
The gentleman cologne is nice but i like uomo aqua more the only problem is it doesn't perform as good as the gentleman cologne
The gentleman EDP is really good but I like uomo intense more also
And overall if Dior had not butchered their homme line I would advise people to just get those because they are superior sadly I can't do that anymore

I loved the Eau de Parfum from a couple of years ago, always reminds me of Ribena. This one is more generic to my nose.

Only just watched this, must have missed it. Performance isn't as bad for me, possibly due to the warmer weather right now, but it's certainly not great. Lovely smell tho imo.

Gentleman givenchy edp all I got was incense no vanilla or Iris.... The edt had a 🍑 smell

as for the perfume , i happened to test the cologne , very nice scent awfall product tho , doesnt worth even 30e/$ with that lifespan , im sayin lifespan cause the scent changes or better brakes down very fast and the latest one seems a tard worse ... hard pass
Theres an explosion of frags every start of a decade , always one or two make the cut , statistically , its just too early in the year

I tried to like the givenchy line but I honestly don't like any of them. Tried them all multiple times. There just ok. Nothing special in any of them. To me there all just run of the mill safe boring scents. But that's what you get with all these crazy flanker over saturated designer market I guess.
