That's not true. The Everly Brothers (both Phil and Don) left their mark on popular music and this has certainly been recognized and acknowledged by their peers as well as within the popular music community generally.
Wow! I have never seen or met any two brothers with this aweson connection. The way they look or smile at each other when they sing just beyound words. As much pain as these brothers went through during their career I believe it was God's plans to bind them together spiritually to share their talents with the world. My daugther tells me I'm old school because i watched old interviews and plays old songs of the everlys.

Now they are angles singing for our Lord and savior just as he made them for his self but sent them down for awhile for us to enjoy his best work. They will live on in film young people will enjoy and fall in love with them for all time. They sure are missed.

@jonkillings2747 - The quickened tempo would not matter if the original soft sweetness were still there. Their voices were younger, gentler, kinder back then so the song sounded more vulnerable and haunting.
