Too beautiful for words. Will give it a try but could not quite understand the splitting of the wing. A museum piece.
That was an amazing tie. Thankyou for sharing with us and your little tips along the way which lead to other ideas and inspirations.
Thank you for the kind words ;-)
Beautiful tie. I've watched this video at least a dozen times and am absolutely amazed at the skill involved in this. My goal is to be able to tie half as good as this.
Thanks for the kind words :-)
😅Tremendous. This Wally wing is one part voodoo magic and one part Scandinavian high art. The music added to the intense drama. Enjoyed this very much!
Very nice pattern love the rib idea
Wow! Great trick in the wings!
Enrique Santiago Thanks Enrique ;-)
I can do all the prep work and the body of the fly but those wings have me a nervous wreck trying to get them perfect at the end maybe a couple of Valium would help. 😂😂😂
Beautiful

Amazing !!!
+Don Saale Thanks. ;-)
100% fish on . i like it
Just an idea for you to try, one day I was trying to find material for the tail and stumbled upon the idea of paint brush bristles.some off of a 4 inch paint brush with whiteish tan bristles. Looks great and ties easily and you get thousands for a couple bucks at the hardware store.
Anyway thanks for the fantastic pattern and video.😀👍🙏🍻🍻🍻.
Please keep em coming.
Always nice to get good ideas from other fly tiers thank you. ;-)
Masterpiece..:❤️👍
Somewhat easy with a size 8. Try it with the size 16 or 18 that we get in the Rockies. Beautiful tie, regardless.
tres jolie montage!!!
Merci beaucoup :-)
I will trry to make a new one later. but thanks
Have you seen the idea of using a glue bottle tip to do the wing watch Barry Ords video on in it really helps
Yes I have ;-)
Beautiful fly. Do you have a website where you sell these? Tight lines🦗🐜🪰!!!!!
Hi SMHAEN, I have watched this video lots of times and enjoy it every time. I hope to be able make the wally wing, but haven't
tried as yet. I also would like to know the name (title) of the background music if possible. J.R.
Very nice!! Who would down vote this?!?!?
Suburb sir beautiful fly
thank you :-)
Smhaen, are you still tying flies? I haven't seen a new fly from you in a long time. You are such a good tier, I would hate to think you aren't going to post anymore flies. All the best, Sean
hi Sean yes i do. But my Camera is down. I need a New One. And I was Very sich i whole 2017. In the comming weekend i am in sweden to tye flies. No worries, i Will be back when i got a New Camera soon. Thank you for writing.
I am so sorry to hear you were sick all of 2017. I hope you have recovered and are doing well now. I do know about sickness, I am a nurse. I look forward to seeing you tie again. All the best, Sean
beautiful job,,what happens if the wing fails after all that work?
Tye a new one :-D Thanks for the kind words.
Your flies are amazing good job, the music that is playing on the video mayfly with wally winds (dry fly ) . What is the title name and artists.?
Robert
hello.. you work is very good!!!! best as you can show you the wings, i can not see how you make the wings.I try to do them but I can not. thank you. regards..
A really nice looking wing. Only constructive criticism that I have is that when you were showing the final stages in how to make the wings, I couldn't see it as your hands were in front of the camera.
Hi Cailean. You can see more on this on ruclips.net/video/TQxko9WSWmM/видео.html
Is your preference Gray Mallard for the Wally Wing over other feathers? Are you using a LAW Vise? Beautiful dressing. I find the wing surprisingly durable upon fishing for Native RedBands. Thanks!!
Hi Larry, You can easely use other kind of simmilare feathers as well.
The vise is a home made vise. Thanks :-)
SMHAEN Many thanks!!
showcase quality fly; id never wanna fish it! I find that flies with big wings like these tend to twist my leader... do you have the same issue? Beautiful fly!
yes you are right. it very often twist the leater.
beautiful tying SMHAEN, what make is the vice your using ???
Thanks Fytyer50. the vice is home made :-)
where can I buy?
nice fly, but they seems to mess things up while fishing with them ;)
like spinning the tapered leader tippet and other things :(
Hi Meek. If the CDC fibers underneath the wing, is either too short or to few fibers, it sometimes will spin the leader yes. You can awoid this, by cast with less speed. or tye the fly as mensured before. hope you can follow my explanation.
Was impossible to observe because fingers were in the way.
Belle mouche.
I love your videos however, I have to mute them as I wear hearing aids and the constant " bump " ' Bump " would drive me crazy.. Reg
Steve N made this after this video from the master..what ya think? (photo) www.dropbox.com/s/nqxkkqgmi3g3ni4/PICT6125.JPG?dl=0

Hi Steve. the fly on the pictures looks very nice. very good job. You will deffiently catch some big ones on the flies ;-) good job.
The angle to your camera was not the best....it's very hard to see what you're doing in various scenes. 😕
Nice fly..bad production
Thank you for info. ;-)
