    This is not a fly. It is a work of art. If I ever get to tie something this amazing, I will save it in a glass box to show it off under a magnifier in my living room. Great job, Barry.... and thanks for sharing!

    One of my favorite flies to watch being tied. I have to give my hand a try at it soon. I've only been tying since the start of may of 23 it's now the start of June 23. I'm already not to shabby

      @@Thefeatherbender just out of curiosity... What types of feathers are better suited for wally wings? And what's the name of the tool used to pull the feathers through to help get the wally wing started

    I wanted to faint watching you peel each feather to make the wings... 😳 I have grown to respect all of these Fabulous Fly Tiers for their patience and skill...!
    I've been watching these Videos for about a month now and I'm not even a Fly Fisherman. I'm a Bass Fisherman who uses Spinning and Baitcasting tackle...

    Undoubtedly, Mr Ord Clark, you occupy the chair of one of the premium fly tyers on the internet today ,I tell it like I see it .This caddis presentation has given many instructive lessons in one ty from tying two wally wings onto one fly, splitting them with fine dubbing to using two colours of dubbing then part of the teal feather thats left over after tearing one side thisis used for the Caddis horns ,a truly innovative tyer indeed that many who watchi this presentation will hopefully emulate and learn this craft
    Well done , and again stop holding your breath ??

    Is there a cheap starter set of threads and say dubbing that you could recommend for a total beginner In. Fly tieing? For this level of flys ?

    • @Thefeatherbender
      @Thefeatherbender  4 года назад +1

      Hi James, good to hear that you are considering starting tying. Like most things, you get what you pay for, but today its almost difficult to buy poor quality dubbing and thread. I suggest that you choose a couple of patterns that work where you fish and visit a tackle shop that has a good selection of materials, tell them what you need and don't buy the cheapest. From experience, you will only replace it with something more expensive if you continue tying. Good luck!
