Ngl, the solo leveling comparison gets weird since the series are very different, but I understand since they are two of the most popular manhwas

@@ugamerzextraflipt1397, the main artist is different for each series. The artist for ORV is Sleepy-C while the artist for SL is Dubu (who I believe passed away). The style is similar (maybe due to a standard set by the studio), but it definitely diverges as the series continues until they are noticeably different

"Who's the author?" quite surprisingly really. As someone who's read it all, pretty interesting person that author is. This story... is great, absolutely amazing and my current no.1 Novel. Dokja is pretty interesting person and i love the fourth wall's struggle from protecting Dokja from the problems of reality.
Fun fact: His copy of the Novel is not Pirated. The Author is the one who sent it to him in an E-mail right before everything starts.
And also, there is a lore reason why everyone thinks he's ugly.
This is better than Solo Leveling for real...!!

Ngl not me but If I compare the power fantasy genre in manhwa community this is the only manhwa which has a somewhat equally big fanbase as solo leveling.
Majority of fanbase, especially Koreans are either in Kakao or Weibo for CN. Global doesn't really have a centralized site yet so it feels nonexistent when in reality, its just scattered

The novel of ORV is considered one of the big 3 with LOTM and RI, maybe you don't know it since they are not that known here but these are considered masterpieces in fiction, ORV has its throne weak right now because of SS but Solo Leveling is not near ORV in anything, maybe in popularity but most people don't think Solo Leveling is even good, I mean, I like solo leveling but ORV is simply better

It grew out of the niche and reached an audience as a novel. I remember the absolute brain fart I had when DongJok ship reached top 3, just behind BTS ships

well gigguk hasnt read the story and has tried a lot to not spoil the manhwa but a lot of things make sense, even the fact that dokja Is "seen" as ugly makes perfect sense. there is a reason and its a spoiler as to why everyone calls him ugly.
Don't worry, there's a good in universe reason why a guy that looks like that gets repeatedly called "ugly".

you haven't heard of Re:creators? Seriously, watch Gigguk's video on that, and maybe watch the anime too, it's crazy meta. The iceberg is rather accurate for it's placement, maybe it should even be a tier lower, tho of course not as meta as this novel.

Han sooyoung is the author if yall want to know. Spoilers she went back in time with dokkaebi king. Han sooyoung was going to leave the timeline alone because she went back in time and everything. But when twsa never came out and a kid jumped out of a window she realized it was dokja. So she decided to rewrite the whole story because twsa saved kim dokja when he found it. When she finally finished the story her other self made her forget everything. Her last request to the dokkaebi king was to protect dokja and he became the 4th wall. Btw han sooyong best girl always has been

My man CawCaw, first time commenter but have been watching the reactions a while 16:41 is the anime Bobobo bo bo-bobo, a really funny surreal comedy about fighting the hair hunting troupe. Would be a great show to react to someday for all the sketch comedy in it but if you do go for the dubbed version over the subbed, its one of the rare cases of the dub making a show funnier than the japanese VA's. Love the content man even if im not watching all of it.
