This series doesn't do random, and things like "he's the only reader" or "everyone think he is ugly" have an explanation down the road. Take the "he's ugly" part for example, one character get asked what Dokja looked like, and they answered off-handedly that "his face is kinda blurry" and waved it off as him being bland and unmemorable. But anyone that read a decent story knew this is a context clue.
Here is a spoiler free explanation for it if anyone is wondering: there is "something" that protects his identity and privacy from being "read" by others which also results in his face being blurry or censored or hard to remember.

How to describe ORV.... there's nothing to really compare it to that I've come across and I'm glad the iceberg pic convinced you. There are currently only fan translations of the finished Light Novel, but the translation I will warn you is a bit rough (errors, typos, lack of localization etc) and you'll get most enjoyment if you're somewhat familiar with Korean culture. The Webtoon is easier to read and gorgeous. (Find the fan translation to put on your e-reader from the ORV subreddit)
I... I think you may have mixed up some terms around the 10:30 mark. Because for one... as annoyingly floaty as that description is, it's firmly written in past tense. And "you did this" is second person, past tense.
unfortunately, there's no official publication of the webnovel in English yet, but there are machine translations and fan translation floating around. also the reason why you saw it was updated a few days before this video is because the original story IS OVER at chapter 551. however, there is a side story that continues the story that's been running for about 180 chapters or so now. :D;;; DEFINITELY WORTH THE READ. starting with the webtoon is real good because the webtoon/manhwa follows the webnovel pretty closely!
Orv story have 3 part, main story - the epilog - the side story. Every part is still dokja (reader) story yet its not the same person or fragment and the side story is the continuation of the epilog.
ORV is popular enough you can probably find it fully translated on most major light novel websites, especially since it has been completed for a few years already and has been reuploaded all over the internet.
Kim dokja name have 2 meaning in korean, 1 only child and 2 reader, yeah you can call him kim reader and kim dokja is the only child in his familly and he is a reader so that why he have skill like reading fast, omniscient reader viepoint, bookmark and the fourth wall.
5:00 - very much a possibility, funnily enough. Example: Royal Road. There's 15k+ fics and original novels there, top 100 titles have cemented and calcified their spots decades ago do to how rating system works; search and tag functions are horrendous and don't work as they should; while "recently updated" tab is a joke since someone uploads something pretty much every minute in real time which leads to everything being in constant state of self-burial by an avalanche of random chapters site-wise. So it's not that rare to have a novel with 200+ chapters that barely has over a dozen readers because they were the only ones who got to notice and were fast enough to bookmark it.
yes, there is an english version, its on webtoon, the chapters come out weekly but because of the translations its 10 chapter late but if you want to read all the chapters and the translations came out as soon as new chapter is out, than google is your friend
There's an English webcomic called _Sluggy Freelance,_ that's been 5 days a week since 1997 (published books too) and the insane continuity and plot progression is staggering, especially when they have concurrent arcs that last months to years. It starts of looking like a newsprint gag strip, then the weight of what some of the characters go through breaks you. Not even One-Piece has introduced as many seemly silly ideas, only to make they harrowingly serious.
If you were to read and complete the novel(its translated, just search it up it will come), you will develop a love/hate relation ship with the numbers: 49% and 51%. Also the ugly squid will give you the same feeling.
There is a few English translated versions of the novel, but they aren't official they're translated by fans so there may be a few things that aren't translated properly. Pretty sure there's two formats (if you download them) PDF or epub 😅
5:34 not really something I can say as unrealistic, keep in mind this is Korean, which means what Dokja is reading is also Korean, usually when there is something shtty but is going for long, it gets attention regardless of how good or bad it is, but that's only because it's available on english, which means that what Dokja was reading probably didn't get an english translation, and trust me, there is a lot of hidden stuff on the internet, specially the novel side, those tend to get more neglected because people want to read comics more than novels now, so totally not unrealistic
Don't underestimate korean novels, some of them can really go on till thousands of chapters, so the novel Kim Dokja was reading TWSA that has over 3149 chapters is not that special or intriguing enough for people to check it.
I would really recommend "worth the candle" by Alexander Wales web novel. It does this kind of meta really well. Also to hook you in a bit, actual cannibal Shia la beuf is a character that appears and is plot relevant on several occasions.
I just finished the novel today, and I can definitely it's one of the greatest pieces of fiction I've ever read, up there with the work of Brandon Sanderson. The manhwa is great too, but the novel is truly a masterpiece that i finished completely in a week(i genuinely could not put it down) and it's a rollercoaster of emotions that I'd recommend to anyone, especially if you like works that highlight a unique view on the concept of stories and tge relationship between a reader, an author and the characters. (And to my fellow readers who've completed it, yes i am 49% depressed now)
Idk about this trope but i do love female lead stories usualy set in a otome game as the "vilalines" rebirth they make for some of the funniest or intresting stories for me
Alt +F4 is how you close out of a video game window. So "Alt +F4 my life" is how one would say they're going to... um... Moxxie: "Commit die." Thank you, Moxxie.
The manwah is completed & amazing af. The English is in translate, you can read it Webnovel. The first 3 books are out, the 4th is coming out next month, they are also movies coming out next year
in most manhwa regression is used as one time thing , the mc dies after he progressed a lot in his first life (usually in a catastrophic situation) and he returns before the event takes place and then the story starts (if he dies again he does not regress again he just dies). The point is that the mc now can collect all the powerfull resources from the start and become strong enough to overcome what killed him previously using his knowledge and skills from the previous life. Also manhwa dont need anime , they look very good and they are colored the only thing that anime have on them is music , but honestly most anime destroy the manhwa they adapting.
That Death game one that’s at 1:57 is actually pretty good. It isn’t a death game manhua but a psychological thriller type that teaches the value of life . I recommend you read it
So, as I understand it, a lot of what we tend to think of as manhwa and KLN is kind of biased from the major available source being the equivalent of RUclips for self publishing and even if you have an actual original unlazy idea, you still have to play the trending algorithm and SEO. Hence the titles that read like video tags and the isekais that wouldn't be if you remove the 1st 2 pages.
@aerier this light novel was completed a few years ago. I managed to catch up and followed the novel to its completion. You will not regret reading this. Enjoy

Castle swimers. Etc... All great historys i recomend to anyone, the second one is a great suspense and mystery, the first, third, fourt, fifht and eigth have romance as one of their main focus but nowere near the only things there is to them, They are all very varied and diferent from one another and the sixth and seventh are more action oriented, if i we're to compare them to manga i would Say that God of Higschool is kind of dragon ball Z While tower of God is more like Naruto but whitout pulling an out of nowere "it was aliens all along" bu****it(as far as I'm aware, haven't really finish it, so who knows)

How do you feel about an LN/anime where after a levelling system is introduced, it's creator later confides to the MC: _"Yeah, I just did it to make them think they're stronger than they are, so they die stupidly against strong foes._ _Can you believe they think the numbers going up makes them stronger?"_ That's over simplifying, but the series gained a cult following taking every lazy shortcut trope and putting time into them. And as a plus, the MC is aggressively not a murder hobo, though that fact is starting to annoy a number of vocal people.
Oh wait I skipped this video and just realised it's about ORV... Yeah I shouldn't have skipped it, I'm fixing this mistake right now :D Also if you started reading it, what are your thoughts on it? :>
Always fun seeing people complain about how long One Piece is... I'm a big fan of Hajime no Ippo, which has more than 1500 chapters... and counting. Admittedly it's a bit of an unfair comparison, a lot of later One Piece is extremely dense, while Ippo tends towards shorter action-based chapters, so it's probably a quicker read overall.

@@unkownbeing5420 I really enjoy Beacon Civil War, especially since it helps reinforce "Ren I see as the brother I never had" "And I you".
I don't know why, I really would like to see the relationship implied in that mostly comedic exchange explored more seriously. Jaune and Ren being bros.
Yup. That's on me. Got it all mixed around.
unfortunately, there's no official publication of the webnovel in English yet, but there are machine translations and fan translation floating around.
also the reason why you saw it was updated a few days before this video is because the original story IS OVER at chapter 551. however, there is a side story that continues the story that's been running for about 180 chapters or so now. :D;;;
DEFINITELY WORTH THE READ. starting with the webtoon is real good because the webtoon/manhwa follows the webnovel pretty closely!
Since you don't watch Trope Talk in order anyway, they did one on the "All A Dream"
I need to check that one out, then
😮
Orv story have 3 part, main story - the epilog - the side story. Every part is still dokja (reader) story yet its not the same person or fragment and the side story is the continuation of the epilog.
Dokja name is mean only child or reader and dokja is both.
13:20 Guy is a Darksouls player
So it's not that rare to have a novel with 200+ chapters that barely has over a dozen readers because they were the only ones who got to notice and were fast enough to bookmark it.
yes, there is an english version, its on webtoon, the chapters come out weekly but because of the translations its 10 chapter late
but if you want to read all the chapters and the translations came out as soon as new chapter is out, than google is your friend
There exist out there webnovels with 13000 chapters. Or more.
3000 is still really long.
8:00 I'm sorry, but it's physically hard to shut up about my interests, i know it's obnoxious
Your honor I have autism this is literally my life
If you'd like to get a few teasers without getting a spoiler i recommend watching omniscient Reader in 5 mins
Don't underestimate korean novels, some of them can really go on till thousands of chapters, so the novel Kim Dokja was reading TWSA that has over 3149 chapters is not that special or intriguing enough for people to check it.
What makes this video better is the day I caught up to it he released this video
18:30 to 18:50
I am not going to say anything so as to not spoil it.
You have no idea how close you are
😮🤔
SO tempting to ask for more info, but that way leads to spoilers. 😅
ORV is the first and only manwha/manga that made me drop it, just so I can jump to the book! I have nothing but good things to say.
"If it's more Isekai crap...I'm taking notes" hahhaha that cracked me up
I’m gonna be so fr when i say: reading this light novel was life changing
No people have read the og novel but nobody has read the whole story to the end
So "Alt +F4 my life" is how one would say they're going to... um...
Moxxie: "Commit die."
Thank you, Moxxie.
Literally one of the big three of webnovels people call this peak for a reason
I recommend you read it
I love this novel and manhwa adaptation with all my heart!! Glad to to see it getting more love.
Goddammit...
I have been avoiding reading this one for years and you are not going to make me read it now.
If they make an anination for it however...
My fav fiction
.
1) Reverend Insanity
2) Lord of the mysteries
3) Omniscient Readers Viewpoint

My bro this manhwa is peak i seggust to check pick me up infinite gacha as well ik that the name is dumb as hell but its good as well
@aerier this light novel was completed a few years ago. I managed to catch up and followed the novel to its completion. You will not regret reading this. Enjoy
There is a translated novel version you can read in an e-book reader. I read it and it was worth. I'm saying that as someone who doesn't like to read long stories very much.
No, it is finished long ago - "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint," a popular web novel written by Sing Shong, was completed on April 24, 2020
That's probably it transfer from Web novel to a Light novel or something.
it might also be the side stories that the writer has been working on
@@littledragonfly9581 Mmm True, but full answer I got from GPT, is "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint," a popular web novel written by Sing Shong, was completed on April 24, 2020. The series was serialized on the platform Munpia and later on Webtoon for the webtoon adaptation."
7:55 so TruE
I love that this novel get more attention
By the constellations I think he got it
Hey ! Just to ask you. Please, make a video of your feelings on what you have read of ORV if your began to read it.
I was going to, but then I heard they're actually in the process of making an anime about it. I want a way to read it until the anime's out. If only because I'd be shouting at the screen a lot more if I already know it's about to happen then I would going in blind. 😅
Please this novel is the love of my ife
I need to catch up on omniscient readers viewpoint
The squid touches another wall
man the reason why he's only reader will be explained in the future/ U can still read in a light novel
english novel can be found on: novel bin and light novel world
manwha can be found on: webtoon (paid newest chapters), manwha clan and readomnicient
there are also as I found 5 side stories whichm if anyone knows where to find those please let me know :D
No, no… zeus was “and then a god became Horney and fucked with shit”…
I'm glad you know this masterpiece. It's really good. It gave me a lot of touching and understanding. I've reread the novel for the tenth time! More to come later I guess!❤
Seriously? All the ones i have found have shorts and concise names:
Mage and Demon Queen.
Room of Swords.
Boyfriend of the dead.
Good day to be a dog.
Lore Olympus.
Tower of God.
God of Higschool.
OMG you have some rlly good recs here that i'm familiar with.🤩🤩
7:44 Hey now, don't tell me all those tidbits I gave you about Underverse and Xtale weren't interesting.
Please I beg you read the manhwa it’s so good. If anything atleast read the first chapter cause that’s all you need to realize that the manhwa is amazing
I recommend also watching Gigguk's regression video
i rememeber getting up to chapter 1400+ of a novel 300o is very plausable too lol
There are english translation on web novel reader the names are a bit off but if you read the manwha for a bit to see the names you can replace them when you read a phonetic spelling as opposed to the right spelling its a great read ive read it 3times so far going to start my 4th pretty soon
I honestly would love if you would do shust a little read of the first chapters of it on the channel ! [Its on webtoon, the app] ❤
Maybe? Depending on any copyright issues, it does sound fun. 🤔
Take a shot every time he pauses. You'll be trashed halfway through the video lol
It's About to have an adaptation lol
Please read this on your channel! ORV is so good, and I would 100% watch!
You should start with the manhwa until you catch up to the most recent chapters and then switch over to the novel (highly recommend the scanlations translation, it is complemented by important missing pieces from the novel at the end of each chapter). I promise you will not regret reading this novel, it is truly life changing media
How do you feel about an LN/anime where after a levelling system is introduced, it's creator later confides to the MC:
_"Yeah, I just did it to make them think they're stronger than they are, so they die stupidly against strong foes._
_Can you believe they think the numbers going up makes them stronger?"_
That's over simplifying, but the series gained a cult following taking every lazy shortcut trope and putting time into them.
And as a plus, the MC is aggressively not a murder hobo, though that fact is starting to annoy a number of vocal people.
Oh wait I skipped this video and just realised it's about ORV... Yeah I shouldn't have skipped it, I'm fixing this mistake right now :D
Also if you started reading it, what are your thoughts on it? :>
Always fun seeing people complain about how long One Piece is... I'm a big fan of Hajime no Ippo, which has more than 1500 chapters... and counting. Admittedly it's a bit of an unfair comparison, a lot of later One Piece is extremely dense, while Ippo tends towards shorter action-based chapters, so it's probably a quicker read overall.
airier pleas you HAVE TO READ THIS MANWA IT SOO GOOD
i really hope you read the webtoon on this channel, would love to see your reaction to it!
I actually love this novel
Fyi they already finish shooting for the live action omniscient reader a fiew day ago, it will be air in 2025
29:00 *cough* Anime Zone
