Every farm needs a Big Swede on it. 😊
Love our 8R 410’s. That uneven wear on the drive tires is bushings and pins in your leaf spring hangers.
Old Sam Salesman strikes again. Go ahead and install a couple of camera mounts in the 8RX so we can enjoy your dad’s words of wisdom this spring. Still better than television!
Are you ever right on the television part, what a bunch of trash, 90% of what I watch is podcast show such as Larson Farms...
From Tillageman Sam to Kibbleman Sam!
The way those saddle tanks conform to the tractor is really cool. I guarantee once Dougo runs that, it won’t go back. He might like that better then Martin 2.0. Now THAT salesman knew what he was doing.
Can't wait to see all 3 with planters on heading to the field. Nice tractor. Enjoy video stay safe
Thanks for another great video Chet.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Love that leased tractor you got. Wow and wow. What a nice tractor that is. Believe Dougo will really like that unit for planting. Got the built in tanks and everything. Will be super for planting. Dougo will like it I am sure.
Question is what to do when lease is up?????
Like that older Chevy pickup Eric got. It looks to be in real good shape. Nice pickup!!!!!!
Glad you are getting the hitch fixed on the rock wagon. Blacksmith shop should do the trick.
Looks like a lot of truck and trailer maintenance going on right now. Shop is always busy it seems. Getting ready for spring work.
About it I guess. Love that leased tractor, is a nice one.
Thanks for everything Chet and crew. Super group of people. You all take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Always a good day with Chet's videos.I really look forward and enjoy them
Thanks Chet for another interesting video!
Wow Chet very sweet planting rig !❤️
I just love the look of the 8RX can’t wait to see it in action
Like that 98 Chevy! Hope he gets it running nice!
Ray is a beautiful Pup. Great video.
Looks like things are progressing and getting better
Great video, lots of laughs.
Nice new addition to the tractors.
Cant wait to see planting season and get the Dougo view on the new tractor and planter
My First New truck was a 98' white Z71 just like that! Never had a problem in the 5 years i had it.
You guys are my favorite to watch. You all seem really close, very friendly and enjoy working together. Also as someone who would love to have a small farm someday and play Farm Sim, I love seeing all the equipment etc. Keep it up!
New tractor 🚜 is sweet!!
great stuff as always be safe god bless
Awesome video as always
Beautiful doggie ... my Babsy girl approves....🎉
Awesome video guys. Great job
Team Larson !
There are so many things about your channel that I love. You guys are awesome and put out some great content. Of course I had to overlook the “ Dodge “ thing but we all have our flaws. 🤣
That model of 90’s Chevy were very reliable and very good trucks. I had a 96 and actually miss it. It was comfortable. It had captains seats with built in arm rests which made long road trips very nice. Mine never saw a day in the shop for failure and we had a fleet of them at my dad’s company and they were just as reliable as mine.
Nice tractor that should run the planter just fine. Dougo is gonna luv it . Might be a new to you tractor.
Hey Big Swede that’s a nice truck! Cool video 👍❤️
That’s my favorite tractor for planting,it will be nice to see how you adjust to it
Looks nice
That’s the same truck as mine!!! The ole 98’ Chevy!!!
Leasing for the season seems like a great idea. Nice move! :)
You made my Tuesday...Thank you gentlemen🇺🇸🙏✝️👍
Good stuff guys
Enjoyed the video
Thanks for the video. Eric there is a much easier way to get those aluminum fitting out I as a mechanic you can buy a tool that holds a hack saw blade. It can be bought at most any places that sells hack saws. You then split the fitting in the intake into three or four pieces and pop them out with a screw driver. Don't go to deep to touch the threads in the intake. Was a fault of GM those fittings I have change lots of them.
From MY24 onwards 410’s can be optioned with EVT (Electronically Variable Transmission). In place of the IVT for 410’s only.
Great video!
Great lease. Hopefully, it turns into a purchase, and next purchase, lease the 9rx830 😊
The 8RX is one of JDs better recent inventions, you´ll love it. It´s big for us in Europe but I can still drive around in my village without wrecking everyones front yard or living room like I would with a 9R or RX. 😂
I would go as far as to say with the 8Rx the tractive effort of the 8 Series has moved up into the ranks of the 9s.
Love it
Eric, I’ve replaced a lot of those fittings over 38 years of wrenching!
Hopefully Dougo will turn his camera on once he gets it figured out and can give us classic Dougo content in the planter tractor
Those 90s chevy z71 will surprise you going through mud, especially if you have good mud tires, limit slip axles are awesome
Northern chill. It has what plants need
Kelley Blue Book 98 Checy Z truck, extended cab, 200,000 miles or more, maybe $2,500. If it knocks... well, at least it runs! You will love the JD 410 8RX! You guys are masters with the forklift! Do you get re-certified every year? - Ha Ha Ha! Smoke coming from a 25 year old Chevy engine - not at all unusual. Just get in and drive it. Wow, the undercarriage... salty roads or this Chevy lived at the beach! The license plate says it all - Minnesota, 10,000 lakes and this Chevy was in them all! Yes, Chet, it will be a fun Spring at Larson Farms and we are along for the ride.
great video
Nice chev and tractor
Big Swede Chevy all the way👍👍😁
thats a very clean Z71, i had a 91, i think it recycled itself by now
That is a very clean frame for a 90s Chevy. Can tell I didn’t spend much time in salt.
Very clean. Before laughing I would check what Dodge has planned for there V8
Reping for us GM boys😎
Like the saddle tanks. They will save you time by not having to install and removing
Swede's '98 is extremely clean for an OBS. Those are a very rare find.
Might as well go ahead and buy it , when it comes off lease, you are going to want it!
Electric horns have internal points to work. 🎉 1:01 they wear out naturally. 1:01 and dump cart eye should be harder and durable threads and a Cushion spring at the back to absorb shock loading. 1:01
This 90s chevys where the best the early 90s with the 350 throttle body and the late 90s with the 350 vortec!
Yay want you get your boundary lines done. Then you could set it up and you never have to touch the wheel again. It'll lift it up, turn it around. Put it back down and never have to touch the wheel
8RX410 and 24 row high spd will be an awesome setup. I would recommend a steinbauer chip or efi live. It takes extra power to run the tracks and adding 1,000 gal of liquid really eats up the hp. Then try going 10mph. Your gonna want a tune for sure.
13:30 holding both wrenches wrong way wondering why it's so hard :D
You could pull those green planters with the red tractors 🤷♂️ just have to put the Greenstar stuff in the red tractors. There's an integration adapter to go from deere to case and other tractors.
Hey Team Larson good to see your passion and care for your gear and each other week in week out.
As for the dump cart and getting the “Blacksmith” to fix it so it doesn’t break…..
Where will that load and torque move too??? Will we be seeing the back end of a Quad Trac looking very sad in the future???
What’s the cheapest weak link?
Keep up your great work and team spirit.
Chet Eric Broodie jorden great job great explanations tires and seed thank you and a made in china chev.
Awesome video Chet. I'm sure Eric will wreck that truck before he gets 2500 mile in it.
Kool tractor, hope it does great. 🚜🚜🚜
That 8rx would make one sweet sprayer tractor
The big sweeeede😊
Tell ERIC best truck I ever bought is 94 1500 Z71 bought it new, got 528000 on it, valve covers trans frt n rr diffs all original, n you know what a farm trk goes thru, still got it n drive it every now and again, best truck ever made!
Great video thanks for sharing
Well go on... We're listening 😅
We've got time for that long story 😂
Magnifique tracteur 8r 410 à chenille et le semoirs est bien équipés 😂😮😅😊
Better do an alignment on the truck, your worn tire has negative camber and should be changed to more vertical.
That was my high school truck. Not two tone but same year in white. Bet the lifters are going
I watched your mothers channel Chet and you should have never taken the snowblower off..
His mom's channel is a good channel. When I want update content. Chet can be weeks behind if not a month. Last spring she had a planter date with Dougo but chet was still pushing snow ❄️. Lol
@@natejast1971that is so true😂
@natejast1971 yea he's usually a week or 2 weeks behind on a consistent basis. It would be nice if he'd be able to get it down to a couple day's behind
Our editing takes a lot of time also for consistent posting dates, we have to have somewhat of a backlog for the slower weeks of filming! I would personally love to be more current no doubt but it all takes so much time!
@@LarsonFarmsso Chet… did you know the 9530 wasn’t going to work on the planter before you put the track spacers in?
Hey 😊
Have the lineman check on the back of truck.. they make shims to correct the problem.
In the trees like everything else
That inner tire edge make sure all wheel bearing specs are at specs a d when they are then al. U can do along with drive ax.es are set proper angles first drive positive right 0-1/4 inch second drive axle positive left 0-1/4 inch . Then must constantly rotate the tires only way to combat that problem.
Put a cross pin through that collar on the back of the hitch shaft on the dump trailer.
Nice Looking Tractor!
Just put a tune on the 410 like you did the 580. After that, no problems.... then have Sam come back out and ask him what he did before delivering the tractor....
that might be one of chevy best built trucks
Guys valves are out of adjustment.. on that dodge . Adjust it to spec and it’ll run quiet ❤
Nice John Deere👌
Chevy Thunder ⚡️💥⚡️
That little yard behind the house can use those seeds.
You guys are starting to look like a city crew - one guy working and three guys watching.
You see these guys in harvest season? I’ve watched Chet for over 4years now I think that’s an unfair comment…. Plus they got more man power and they do get stuff done!
The 410 comes with power shift or EVT transmission. The EVT is only in 410 and it is similar yet different than IVT. Tillage man Sam has a video on it. I think the 410 is a great pairing, but JD needs a 460+ HP 8rx for high speed 24 row planter IMO. Want to get over 10 mph planting since you paid for that.
Wouldn’t need a pto generator also with an evt and they are much more efficient then and ivt
People watched my video?
@@spaulson54 I spend a pathetic amount of my time on RUclips. 😁
Your dad should really like the tractor
Got an '01 1500 Silverado, some how with 232k miles on it, it had almost no rust when I bought it. Took the bed off, rust treated everything and spray painted the entire frame. Replaced bearings, shocks, tires and much more. In the end, 6 grand for almost a new truck. So much cheaper than a new truck that is between 60 and 100 grand.
Amen🫡
My pup would have devoured that steak before you even saw it.. licking his lips. Great stuff guys.
Have you thought about wiring up lights in the semi bumper and headlights on the shop wall?
Id say that Chevy has been rode hard and put away wet 😊
My brother had a 98 GMC. It had an electrical fire in the cab. I believe it was from a factory defect.
Was kinda excited to see 9530 on planter
Can you believe they forgot about the lack of pto before spending all the money on the track widening??
I bet they had a plan for that
Chevys dont leak , they sweat horsepower !😆
Their made with real tornadoes
Lord have mercy 🙄
You need to try your soil experiment with Brawndo next time!
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHET 😊
You should talk to your tire dealer and see how much they will give you for them, the tires can be x-rayed to see if they can be recapped!
I’ve seen railroad spikes in truck tires. You wonder how but it happens. Bolts no problem.
