      Thank you very much! The reduced gap on 3.16 is to match the imperial to metric conversion, right?

    Hi we are RDG TOOLS a Model Engineering tool company based in Mytholmroyd West Yorkshire. We sell new and used tools.
    We also own the Myford Lathes Brand. We took over Myford around 12 years ago. Both company's are in the same building and we are open to the public. We are still building new Myford lathes and refurbished Myford lathes.

    What a pity you haven't gone into limited scale production, a very useful addition to an imperial myford.

    Hello all at Chronova Engineering. Excellent video on the metric resettable hand wheel. Very well done Sir! I too have a Super7 awaiting full restoration (can't wait!) but I was interested in your pentagraphic engraving machine and wondered if you could present a video on that. Greetings from Southport.

      Thanks Kevin. We will aim to put together a video on the engraver in the future. It's a very useful tool for the manual machine shop.

    Nice work. I admire you for trepanning 316 stainless steel, that would be tough. I do not have a lead screw handwheell on my ML7 but would like one.I don't think many people would have access to a pantograph engraver.

    • @chronovaengineering
      @chronovaengineering  Год назад +1

      Thank you Andy. 316 certainly wouldn't have been our first choice but it's all we had on hand that was the right size! For those who don't have a pantograph engraver, stamping will do the job, it just won't look as pretty.

    Excellent project, but I would do a full metric conversion since metric leadscrews and gearboxes are also availeble for many myford models for very reasonable prices

      Why?
      Imperial measures are built around human beings, they are ergonomic & if as the meteorologists predict civilisation takes a tumble everything based around humans, such as the need to divide will be back on the table.
      There is a reason that the ancients ignored their ten fingers & ten toes, then went with twelve!

  • @MadeInGreatBritain

    The optimal solution is to do it in imperial…
