Or better yet, because I'm confused? How to adjust the air conditioner gauges on a Rolls Royce Phantom so that everyone in the vehicle is comfortably accomadated.
I don't need to know how to set these things. I am here becoz it feels good just watching this beautiful time piece.... I see Patek Philippe Nautilus, i hit like.
@Daytona 6263 The latest Nautilus releases *do* have hacking. Very few people know about this. LWC should pay me a retainer fee for this advice but it's all good :)
@@AMogus-jr6qk Yup, heard it from Tim Mosso over at Watchbox Reviews channel a few months back. While LWC here is great, he's not a dealer so wouldn't know insider stuff like that very easily.
Non hacking movements do not have a ’stop-second’ mechanism. To synchronise, the crown should be gently turned backwards and pressure maintained to stop the seconds hand. Release when the display corresponds to the timing signal and push crown back to position 1.
I love your channel, you definitely have some of the best watch content on youtube. I would like to see you attain a vacheron constantin overseas to complete the holy trinity of sports watches! I know you have no qualms with acquiring new time pieces, so maybe that could be your next acquisition.
It's well thought of to use gold on steel to prevent the watch getting scratched by the pin. Very interesting to see how it's done, but sadly to no practical use for me at this point 😅
For guaranteed no scratches....keep in travel case, mount on a necklace and wear it as such, then open case to tell time. Oh yeah, always wear gloves when handling.
Ah good... At last... I have a few of these and finally know how to adjust 'em properly! Sorry mate, could bot resist :D great video and great watch! Still have not had the chance to see a Patek in person. I'm pretty sure it is sublime experience!
I always thought it was strange that the second hand starts to go backwards when adjusting the time in the counter clockwise direction. Can anyone explain why that is, I'd love to know.
I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm a beginner watch collector myself so it's very satisfying to look at your collection they are beautiful. Do you have any tips on how to get more to the high end watches in the future?
My heart goes up and down when you adjust those. Better to buy a very normal Patek just date and time. Such expensive watch, with such a complication should have atleast 8 days power reserve. Who will wear such a watch everyday.
I got a question. I got a longines hydroconquest Quartz version. I am wondering what the difference is between a chinese Quartz movement and a swiss quartz movement. Is there any difference in the materials? Quality? Because the watch was quiet pricey (750$). Anyone can answer
Hey I was wondering what you think about Nomos. I have been thinking about buying the club in a 36mm case with a sapphire back. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated(or anyone else who knows a lot about Nomos).
I was told to avoid changing the date, or any complication, while the time on the watch is showing between 8pm and 3am, the “danger zone”. I suppose to prevent gears from crashing and causing damage. What are your thoughts?
My 5712g is actually at PP services because the watch stop before the power reserve is completely down...I bought it brand new in 2017. How is your power reserve?
Isn't it risky to adjust the date before knowing is it am or pm? I read on the forums and watched some reviewers suggesting first to move the hands to pm position then adjust the date as the date changing mechanism is usually engaged between 10 pm and 4 am so it is always preferred to move the hands first outside this zone then change the date
He definitely should have manually rotated the time through a date change and then carried on until around 9am before changing to correct time. And that is from myself who also has a 5712.
Ignacy K Oh yeah course they spend 50K on a watch for the make DEFINITELY not for the quality 😭 OF COURSE they get it for the quality of they were just getting it for the name everyone would have a 50 grand watch which will never happen
Hey man, have you ever looked into the Grand Seikos with spring movement? I have seen many people being very enthusiastic about them, including myself. In fact I am looking to buy one in a few months! I was wondering what your thoughts on them were and if you considerd adding them to your collection at some point in the future.
Everyone has to start somewhere, and a seiko is a damn good start! My father still wears his 17 year old seiko every day and has never had any problems with it. It only cost him 200€ and gave him years of pleasure
Personally, I like how IWC’s perpetual calendar has no pusher correctors as it’s 100% “mechanical memory”. I think other makers need to do the same. I also like how HM&C’s perpetuals can be rolled forward or backwards over midnight without restriction.

the real question is: can you set the alarm on a casio G-shock??
Impossible. Not even G-shock knows for sure

Is the seconds hand not hackable or is it two stages of time adjustment?

You can keep a winder to make sure it's always set up. I think that's where the winders are most useful-in keeping complicated watches wound.
There's a reason for such a short power reverse. Those mechanic needs to rest as well. if not they'll die fast
