Runa's and Norden's, an unstoppable combination! Great to see some more dirt passing under your wheels on your way through all that amazing scenery!🙂😎⛰🏕
As always, thoroughly enjoyed another classic production from you, Runa. Always enjoy your meticulous selection of music. Very beautiful scenery, love how you coax yourself through tricky terrain even though you're very capable. And your rant is spot on, people all over the globe need to be considerate of fellow road users. Cheers
Thank you! 😊 It was nice to try some more difficult riding on my own, even though the action cam footage makes it look a bit flat and boring! Glad you like the music - so much to choose from!
Thank you! 😊 And yes, it could 😂 There is few things that gets my blood pumping as bad as slow cars, vans, riders or whatever, not letting people pass. It's so selfish and ignorant!
I loved this episode. Used to enjoy riding over the old Dunstan road . In winter used to go snow caving up above Middlemarch near the Otago tramping club hut. I like that you check the small stream. Last time I was over there about 50 years a go my mate rode into a deep crossing and stalled his bike. Took us about 1/2 hour to get started again.
Another beautifully put together video Runa. You are so right about the camper vans at the end. I mean do these selfish people never look in their mirror, and see the jam up behind them! Looking forward to the next video.👌
I appreciate all the hard work you put in to making it look so easy! You must spend hours editing to share with us. Come back to NZ, there is so much more to see. I gather you like the company of others, but prefer the solitude of dusty high mountain roads
Thank you! That is very kind of you. I do spend a considerable amount of time editing, but it's an enjoyable way for me to re-experience my whole trip too! 😊 Definitely gonna have to go back to NZ sometime, still so much more to see!
Wow, Runa!!! You now have over 91,000 followers!!! I think I was a follower when you had less than a thousand. CONGRATULATIONS!! I love your success!! Best wishes and Ride Safe!! 😀
Runa, I must say, you are a freakin' inspiration! I've ridden NZ a couple of times, but I usually tend to stick to the coast for the most part. You're showing me a beautiful new (to me) part of this spectacular country!
Rode the Hawksburn last year on my bicycle. Such an epic view as you come into Clyde but that downhill is something else. Cool videos to discover other roads thanks.
Some cool moments in here....like the pie and the 'i'm gunna make it, i'm gunna make it - bleep yeah" 😆 and so true about the rant at the end Runa 👍 Stunning scenery as always ....
Hi runa, great video! One view after another after another, my favourite was the devils staircase that took my breath away, They say the best things in life are free and they certainly are, you looked so chilled at the view points, and on the tyre swing 😊, was the pie nice with the added grass,,That sky in the evening at the campsite 👌 wow! You have just brightened my afternoon on a wet and misty day in Cornwall. Take care Runa, Best wishes Roy. 😊👍.
Good evening, Roy! 😊 You're so right. The best things in life are definitely free, in a way. These were a couple of great days like so many of my NZ days were! Great memories already 😊 Hope Cornwall is not so wet and misty this evening!
Your videos are relaxing, nice and real! Many tourists in campers are road hazards here, unfortunately, not very observant. 15:35 was heart in mouth stuff, courage and determination, very cool.
Hi Runa, your so right about slow traffic holding up queues of others. I live in Queenstown and deal with it every day, however on the motorbikes... plenty of power does the trick. Enjoy your ride and as we say here 'keep the rubber side down' 😉
Thanks for bringing us along on the beautiful trip. You are correct, drivers going slow makes other people mad and leads to dangerous passing and road rage. We have a lot of highway that is only one lane each way here in Alaska and every summer a lot of visitors in trailer, campers, and RV's who drive slow to enjoy the view and even stop in the road to take pictures. If I am behind a line of vehicles stuck behind a slow-poke, I pull off and take a break to let them get far ahead. Since I like to take breaks, take pictures, or just stop to enjoy the view it makes no sense to stay caught in a group of cars getting frustrated and mad at a bad driver and when I finally get ahead of the Pokey... to pull over to take a break then have them pass me. Stop, smell the roses, enjoy the view and let them get far ahead..
As a pie connoisseur, that pie looked as dry as a dead dingo’s donger. But you did pick my favorite pie mince and cheese, great choice. Not many people can make the F word sound sound so exciting, but you nailed it beautifully. Always a joy to watch you Runa,I’m sure you bring pleasure to more people than you realize with your wit and dry sense of humor. One of the many reasons you are cherished 🎊✨🧚♂️ PS, I noticed that you have a tattoo of a kite on your right right inner forearm,im sure I know what it means but can you translate the wording thanks.
mate I think you must see a food specialist. Mince and cheese in NZ is the worst. Butter chicken from the "Z", steak and kidney or pepper steak is THE ONE!!! LOL.
@@2631Fred I actually used to test the pies our local bakery would think of making to sell commercial 😂 Butter chicken is not far behind mince and cheese mind you 😋🤫
Hahaha, this discussion had me laugh 😂 The pie was quite dry I have to admit, but still tasty! Now I wish I tried the butter chicken pie too! Thank you guys 😃
Greetings Runa, from (yet another) Kiwi biker who's been riding continuously since the age of 20. First time viewing and now subscribed!😁 The look on your face at 11:40 was priceless! 😂 Jimmy's pies would've been made from NZ *grass-fed* beef and it wanted one last sniff & munch of the green stuff before you had it for lunch🤣 Now m'lady, I have to gently chide you for a 'small error of choice' in direction (had you but known) from where you took lunch at the end of the Lake Onslow Road. Where you stopped, at a merging intersection you would've come on to 'Linnburn Runs Road'. At 11:55, If you had turned right around, taken that road that veered off to the left, very close to where you'd just come from (Deep Creek Rd) , and travelled but 6km, you would've forded the Taieri River, come to a T-intersection, turned right onto Upper Taieri-Paerau Rd, gone maybe 100m along it, and you would've arrived at the Lammermoor *whisky and gin distillery* and farm-stay. Whatever their spirit, production and maturation terroir magic is, I can say from personal experience (of sampling a wee dram in the Naseby hotel), for an 'only' 4-5yo spirit, it front-foots it with the best of Scottish 12-15yo whiskies👏👍 I have deduced you only spent 28 days here in New Zealand (so maybe Lammermoor for all its temptation was a bridge too far). Your travel map route tells me you've barely scratched the surface of what's to be enjoyed here as a biker in 'Godzone' (God's Own Country). Runa, you need to spend 28 *months* here riding the roads both on & off the beaten tracks. And at the end of that time, you'll be saying "This place is motorcycling Heaven (Valhalla? It's literally Lord Of The Rings Central!). I may now travel elsewhere, but this place is now 'home'". Well that's how NZ feels to me. Do return soon to 'Godzone' for a truly deep-dive exploration! 😃 Ride safe, ride well John
Just come across your channel and loved it, I grew up in Dunedin and spent a lot of time in Central Otago, great film work and the editing and narration are awesome, now I have to go to the start and binge watch all your episodes 🤣, travel safe,,, cheers wilson

Wonderful, relaxed vibe, with some awesome views. I agree with the rant! Sadly tourists in campervans are a nuisance on southern roads, but also, kiwis have been force-fed propaganda about "speed kills" bullshit for too long. Bad driving kills.

Greetings to Kiruna! 😊 It's so fun to hear how many of you have been to New Zealand, and recognize the places I travel through! I wonder if it has changed much over the last 30 years? Thank you for following along! 😊
Hi Runa, Views above Clyde and beyond Roxburgh were just epic, love the big wide open skies and the landscape in NZ is always so interesting. Had to chuckle at your pie drop ! 😂 You did well through that rocky downhill section, but I really thought you were going to drop it when you paused beside that rocky downhill rut, I could just feel your feet searching for a flat bit of ground. Lots of heavy breathing, a time for a little more "gas gas", a little momentum is your friend Runa 😄😄. I'm thinking you didn't make it to Larnach Castle, but I will see what happens next video 🤞 Yes NZ has so many many tourists, I was almost T-boned once at a cross road near Geraldine. Thanks for sharing your trip again Runa, love your travel videos. All the best from Australia. 🤩🤩🤩🦘🦘
I was pretty sure I was gonna go down at that part as well! 😂 The rut was deep and in a weird angle, I was worried my front wheel would fall into it and tip me over. Speed would probably have been better but I reeeaally did not want to tip over there 😂 Thank you for always following along! Have a great weekend, greetings to Australia 😃
Your videos are always inspiring and with very beautiful landscapes, it is a great contribution to motorcycling. Have you ever thought about traveling around Brazil?
Yes, I totally agree with you regard slower drivers not pulling aside where possible. I've been driving our roads since the mid 80's and Iv'e seen driving habits change over the years... I don't know what has happened there (well actually I have my theories) but it never use to be like that.
That is so strange... Perhaps parts of the world where many tourists come from, are not used to narrow and twisty roads, only highways? I don't know, it's strange, and a bit selfish to not consider all the cars piling up behind!
Use your gearbox and your power, pick the traffic queue off one at a time, it won't take that long. Quite fun, sometimes. Make sure you know where your power is in the rev band and use it. One at a time is doable. I've thousands of hours on sport/road bikes around the North Island, your vids are entertaining. I can see you getting toughened up a little through your journey...
*Kia ora (hello) Runa, A great rant at the end.... and yes I totally agree with you. Camper vans are usually tourists... and have no idea... or they start driving on the wrong side of the road, due to the fact that they come from a country that drives on the other side to NZ. Hire companies now put on a sticker on the dash to remind drivers to stay LEFT. Yep they have caused many an accident on the kiwi roads. Maybe they also have a lower speed limit in their country too or get confused between Miles per hour or KMs per hour. But either way in peak tourist season, it can be a shocker out on the roads. The NZ police are out there patrolling the open roads to educate... and NO the NZ Police do NOT carry guns just laser-guns if required.🙂.*
Yeah that could all be big factors! Those stickers are not a bad idea - I hear many bikers use to do the same. It's so easy to wind up on the wrong side of the wrong in a thoughtless moment!
You comment at the end about drivers. Most of the campers we see are tourists who are no doubt too busy staring out their windows in awe at the stunning landscape they travel through. Yes it’s a little frustrating they often seem oblivious to traffic buildup behind them, but please relax and take a moment to empathise with someone who’s just trying to take in the Magesty of the landscape the travel through
Awesome episode Runa. Your bonus rant is how so many people here feel. Love to see people wanting to enjoy our country but let people pass if you aren't happy travelling at the speed limit. Police have been known to give tickets out to people doing this as it does increase the road accidents due to people making bad decisions to get past slow vehicles.
Thank you, Glenn! 😊 And I'm glad to hear police take action. Riding too slow is in it's way just as dangerous as riding too fast. That stuff triggers some road rage in me as I'm sure you can relate to... 😂 It' so selfish
Thx Runa for showing me the parts of my country I will never be able to see. I am a roady. Happy to sit on a sports bike at 270km/h. I do not have any off road skills. None what so ever!!! OFF road, I am a star, a DISASTER. At my age I wish I had that skills. Never owned an off road bike. When I look at this, I have many regrets, respect and envy.!!! Thank you for sharing beautiful NZ with us. I live in a beautiful, peaceful country. Something we Kiwis take for granted. Driving in NZ is a learning curve. Lots of tourist and Kiwis with Island attitudes. It is different. You get use to it eventually. STAY HERE FOR 1 MORE YEAR and we will consider you to be a KIWI. How about that?? LOL. 🤣 OFF SHE GOES.
I'm glad we can use platforms like RUclips to share experiences and places with each other! It's great like that! 😊 Thank you for following along Fred, and have a great weekend over there 😃
I once ran out of fuel on a ride, my fuel gauge was showing 2 bars so I was sure my fuel was fine but while I was waiting for rescue I looked at my trip computer and it was showing 210 miles🤣My fuel gauge was faulty oops😂Those roads looked like a lot of fun Runa and with views to die for what's not to like?👌Well except for that scary rocky downhill and uphill😂That camping spot was just incredible👌
Oh wow 😂 Not a good feeling when the bike starts stuttering and you realize it's about to die! Riding was so much fun despite, or maybe because of those challenges!
Wow NZ's amazing! Some parts are like the black desert in Egypt with the rocks, if you pretend the straw is sand. I'd like to go to NZ, I was expecting more people or sheep or something but it seems truly desolate in parts.
@OffSheGoesADV I was an overland truck tour leader back in my younger days and all the other tour leaders said they wanted to do the "Stans"! One day I hope to have another proper camera and go down there at my own pace not working and just enjoy it properly.

Thank you, glad you like them 😃 It's fun re-experiencing it all through editing. I have been traveling more this summer and have lots of content lined up! Spending at least 10-15 hours editing one episode it takes time to get through it all. One episode a week is all I can do at the moment 😊

I'm thinking you didn't make it to Larnach Castle, but I will see what happens next video 🤞
Yes NZ has so many many tourists, I was almost T-boned once at a cross road near Geraldine.
@@OffSheGoesADV 🤗👍
Your videos are always inspiring and with very beautiful landscapes, it is a great contribution to motorcycling. Have you ever thought about traveling around Brazil?
Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it 😃 I would love to travel through South America sometime, definitely on my to-do list!
Woi joh..wat prachtig allemaal. Voorzichtig en geniet ervan. Groetjes!!
Haha well said, it's all stunning! Thank you and have a great weekend 😄
Another Vlog With Runa❤❤
Love From 🇹🇷
🥰
Kiitos taas mukavasta videosta👍🏍🌹🌼🌷
Thank you for always watching 🥰
Nice trip again.
Looks wonderful!
It was a stunning day!
Love to see your new zealand exploration. ❤❤ from malaysia
Glad to have you following along! 😊
Lovely video again Runa beautiful country to be travelling in
Thank you, glad you liked it! 😊 New Zealand was stunning from beginning to end!
Place looks spectacular
It really was!
A true Viking 😊 ...power woman !
Haha 😎 Thank you!
Good work Runa..
Thank you! 😊

Welcome to leh Ladakh peace full places
Off she goes there and here I start watching ❤
Hahah, hope you liked it 😃
@ a lot 🙏
Very nice video 😍
You got a new subscriber💐
I see you missed the serpentine route 😊 it gets pretty knarley near the church from the onslow end 😊 great vid thanks ❤

Wow great content ❤
Thank you! 😊
Runa❤❤
Wow NZ's amazing! Some parts are like the black desert in Egypt with the rocks, if you pretend the straw is sand. I'd like to go to NZ, I was expecting more people or sheep or something but it seems truly desolate in parts.
Aah that sounds awesome! Guess I'll have to visit Egypt as well some day 😃 So many beautiful places to visit!
@OffSheGoesADV I was an overland truck tour leader back in my younger days and all the other tour leaders said they wanted to do the "Stans"! One day I hope to have another proper camera and go down there at my own pace not working and just enjoy it properly.
@@lkn4jolly That sounds like a very good plan! So many beautiful places to see!
damn girl your videos keep delivering what a adventure so beautiful there glad u enjoyed the trip have u been doing and recent videos since the New Zealand trip
Thank you, glad you like them 😃 It's fun re-experiencing it all through editing. I have been traveling more this summer and have lots of content lined up! Spending at least 10-15 hours editing one episode it takes time to get through it all. One episode a week is all I can do at the moment 😊
Hey Runa it was nice to meet you at St Bathans and have a chat
Thank you and likewise! 😃 Hope you're doing good!
@OffSheGoesADV great thanks for asking!
And I met Kinga the next day, what are the chances?! Hope you do come back some time, there's so much more to see
👍
