Thanks Runa. I'm Kiwi, nearly 80, a former motorcyclist, lying in bed having my first dance with Covid, and you have cheered me up with your joy in places I know and love. A couple of examples - the bridge you crossed north of Springs Junction is where I got an excited phone call from a friend of my son's telling me he and his wife were going to have their first child! She is now finishing her law degree. Okiwi Bay is where I caught my biggest rock lobsters on scuba. Durville Island opposite you in French Pass - I used to know a Māori nurse who lived there told me the lobsters used to climb out of the water onto rocks and they could be caught by nets. The road you were on at Momorangi Bay used to be called the Grove Track, and my best friend and I pushbiked across it when it was shingle en route from Picton to Kaiteriteri - we were 16 and out of contact with family for 3 weeks. You have graced Aotearoa New Zealand with your presence Runa. Thank you.
… fellow Kiwi, couldn’t have put it better. She honoured the place. A true traveler, not a tourist or just an influencer. I’ll go ride roads I learned about from your vids. What a legacy!
Wow.. This made me a bit sentimental reading. It is so crazy to think about how many memories places hold. Thank you so much for sharing this! Sounds like you have done many exciting things, and have collected many good memories! I hope you have a great December so far, and thank you so much for following along on my little adventure 🥰
Sharing my trips with you guys is more rewarding that I can ever express - what a fantastic community this is, so much kindness. Thank you so much for following along!
Hey hopskinny. I’m 70, female, started riding on my own at 13. Never had an accident. Did stunts as well. Now in the Rockies. Where are you residing these days?
Thanks Runa, for that beautiful, stunning ride. For a while there, it looked like the countryside was covered with felt. This is what motorcycling is for... to soak in the beauty of our planet. I, too, can never pick between the mountains or the waterfront, though I can only take so much of riding through forests, I need to be able to see the horizon. And as always, I'm impressed how out of millions of tracks you pick the nicest music to go with your travels. Cheers.
There are many pluses of motorcycling in NZ, certainly in South Island, little traffic, beautiful landscapes, and no nasty wildlife to contend with. Sheer bliss, and your presentation is SO relaxing. I cannot think of a single negative. I shall miss your content, Runa.
New Zealand really is the perfect motorcycle country in so many ways, I absolutely loved my time there! Glad you enjoy my content, I sure enjoy the travels and to be able to share it with you guys! 😊 I have more content in store after this series is done - I hope you will like that too 😃
@@martinforrester8249 Funny - we were tramping in the Kaweka Ranges and had an Aussie newbie in our group. We had to tease him, didn't we? Otherwise there is no reason for Aussies to exist. We told him what you said - nothing to be frightened of in the NZ bush. Over the next couple of days he walked into bush lawyer, ongaonga (fierce native nettles known to have killed deer), and finally a nice friendly looking patch of bastard (or hook) grass. He lost trust in us after that!

Oh wow I bet that must have been nice seeing the landscape from a kayak! It's fascinating how much the perspective of the landscape changes when you see it from a different side!

Thank you for coming along, and I hope you have a good beginng of December! I envy how summer is upon you guys now!
Another great video. 8:40 Too long since I've been to Okiwi Bay. Paddled 11.5 km out and around the headland to the right of the gap, did some fishing, then paddled back. Should have taken some food, drink and sunglasses. 😆
@@OffSheGoesADV Yeah, not too bad for someone who had barely paddled for way longer than I'd ever admit to. My middle daughter loves to paddle and fling pointy sticks. Youngest one likes motorbikes and I'll get her riding very shortly, starting on a farm. You must try it.

Thank you, Glenn! I totally understand why it's a loved road, also by locals! I mean, what's not to like about it, it was both stunning and a fun ride on the small roads going out there! Thank you for coming along, and I hope you have a good beginng of December! I envy how summer is upon you guys now!
@OffSheGoesADV Yeah we are into some good riding weather again, 🙌
creaming soda is my fav! cool trip
It was pretty good! Even better at the end of a hot (and cold) day 😂
Another great video.
8:40 Too long since I've been to Okiwi Bay. Paddled 11.5 km out and around the headland to the right of the gap, did some fishing, then paddled back. Should have taken some food, drink and sunglasses. 😆
Oh wow that's quite the paddle 😃 I'm sure it's a fantastic way to see the landscape, too! Perhaps I should give it a try one day
@@OffSheGoesADV Yeah, not too bad for someone who had barely paddled for way longer than I'd ever admit to. My middle daughter loves to paddle and fling pointy sticks. Youngest one likes motorbikes and I'll get her riding very shortly, starting on a farm.
You must try it.
Spennende å følge dine reisebrev her på youtube Runa
Takk, det er hyggelig å høre! 😊
Great video (as always 😊) and great soundtrack 👌😉🇧🇷
Put the plug in the sink, and 'make' water to your temp !
Beautiful video
Thank you! Glad you liked it 😊
Beautiful 👍
It sure was!
Sweet gloves your Mom made!
Right? I love them!
Hi Runa..I'm from Indonesia Waiting for you to explore..here there are many mountains and amazing places with friendly people other than the people in the city..hahaha
Keep the spirit and have a fun adventure
Indonesia looks really nice, I hope to go there some day! 😊 Have a good day over there!
Love the Motorcycle Gloves Runa 😂🙌🏻 If you don't want to use the sink to dipp that face, fill up a cup with 50/50 😂
I'm glad I decided to bring them! 🥶 And well, everyone else seemed to notice that there was a plug for the sink laying RIGHT in front of me that I could have used to fill the sink 😂
Cold - hot, fjord - mountain. Such a land of contrasts! Like Norway but different. Nice filming - and with dji action 3... 👌👍😊
Spot on! The contrast and variety of New Zealand was one of my favoruite things 😍 And yup - the 3 did a great job this trip! It's still a good camera 😊
Wow, your mom made those gloves!? She's good! Beautiful scenery. What's the deal with that icy weather? It's summer where you are. You must be up really high in those mountains. Safe travels always.
Yeah, she is a great knitter! 😊 They come along for pretty much all my trips, so nice to have on colder mornings and evenings!
Yeah, I woulda been in a cabin or something that first night lol...the weather got really nice for you, the views along the roads were great! next time take a wash cloth, get it hot then add a little cold water, boom, luke warm to wash your face lol
Haha a cabin would have been comfy indeed - my gear was not suitable for those temperatures. A wash cloth is a good idea, luckily a problem I didn't run into a lot 😂
Very cool again, thanks for sharing kiddo 👍😊...
And thank you for following along - really appreciate that! Have a great evening 😊
Kool Gloves, nice ride too 🏍️
Thank you! I quite like them too 😃
Crazy range of temperatures😂Another spectacular video Runa, NZ is just incredible👌
Hahah yes! This was the day I descided I needed to change to a layering system in my gear so i could adjust more easily the the changing temperatures 😂 Have a great day over there!
Nice journey sister I'm from Garo hills
Shout out to your Mom for the awesome mitts!😅
Haha she deserves it, I love those mittens 😍
I've been to NZ many times ,however you still manage to show me areas i haven't seen.
I have a feeling we could travel New Zealand for months and months and still discover new incredible places! I definitely have to go back one day!
@OffSheGoesADV my mum was a kiwi ,NZ ,certainly has a lots of beautiful locations
Creaming soda and ice cream yum 😋 .
