What are the new minimum and maximum rental prices allowed by Turo for the 1LT and 2LT ?
Right now it’s set to $180-$1680 that’s a huge spread 😱 the highest booking rate I personally have gotten was $1200/day one time.
@@saimahsexperience Thank you for all the 💎Gems you drop on your channel...what would be a good model year range that you would suggest to use on the platform?
I would say 2018 and up! You want to be careful about older years and potential maintenance issues you may run into. It can become quite costly very quickly.
@@saimahsexperience Thx , yes too wide of a range. $180 is just way to low… at some point Turo will have to do their homework collect data and just up the prices. My C350e is at min. $150 .. needless to say I won’t be able to compete with for example your C class and other for 80-90 bucks … thats when it can get back on the platform after the unconfirmed / pending recall delisting lol.
ain't the minium price for a c8 59k
such a great teacher , thanks for the info
Simah .Thank you for all honest and detail information .I am new and trying to get enough information and decide if it’s good for me to get to this business .
The KimK of Turo 😂
I swear I thought that as soon as I saw her, but she actually looks better than KimK🤷♂️
Hey Saimah, I really appreciate your videos. Learning a whole lot from you. You should wrap your c8 a very interesting color to make it stand out. Bookings will go through the roof.
I would be really interested in seeing how it effects the returns for that!
Love your videos so helpful
Thank you for this great content! I don’t have a business yet but I’m really considering this car rental/ experience idea.
Move to Austin Tx it's all open down here, thinking 🤔 about getting into this rental thing though thx for your insight and perspective...
These numbers are ridiculously high from what I've seen in Cali. I can rent a c8 for 200 bucks a day and another 150 for unlimited miles.
Should I get a corvette c8 and would I be able to drive it everyday?
Hey what insurance do you have for your Polaris slingshot I’ve been looking around and can’t find any for a responsible price. Thank you.
Out right Beautiful!
Thanks for your excellent videos...Did you Lease the C8 ??? If so how long 2 years ?
I can’t wait to get a Corvette !!!!! 💯🔥
You don’t talk about about how much the car costs you to lease and insure. Only reason i watched the whole video lol
Facts😑 my guess is $1000 & $250/mo respectively
Leasing for rentals isnt smart you’ll exceed the mileage and it will end up costing you more
@@fki1996 That's why she does high mile lease. She has been doing this for 6 years I think she got it handle
@@ArmedVeteran1987 u right I was just saying unless it’s a high mileage lease most ppl won’t think that far ahead
Nah...especially with your experience! If it’s slow, it’ll pick up. Keep making these videos because you’ve motivated me to jump in the game!
Tha is for info! In DFW and central Texas market mid grade SUV are hot Commodity. RAV4 and Lexus GX and RX are out on average 20 plus days a month.
Hi saimah I was wondering where do you get your funds sent to your personal bank account or a business bank account?
This channel is a hidden goldmine within RUclips
Hey Saimah is Turo taking a long time with your reimbursements? They are taking sometimes 7 days AFTER it’s escalated to Support for me.
One question, do customers pick up the car at your house? or dating them elsewhere?
Love your viy
New to your channel. I’m a Turo host in Hawaii. I’ve been trying to get a c8 but the dealership want a 30k mark up here. Do you have any contacts you could share to get one in your area to ship to Hawaii? Much appreciated and keep up the grind. Thank you in advance
What area are you in that your able to price this car at the rate your charging. In oc this is going for between 140-170 a day
How do you research other markets? To determine how to price cars?
With such a large fleet .. where do you park all these cars? Have you rented a lot or what?
Hi Saimah, I live in San Diego. I have always wanted a 2014 porsche boxster. ($45000) Do you think I could cover the payments by renting it on Turo?
Would you happen to know anything about the Jacksonville fl market?
Would you recommend Tesla model S 2021 for Turo?
Miami is hot because it’s spring break time now through April
Can you walk us through the financing process of the C8. How did you do no money down and is this leased or financed?
I financed mine. It's doing well. In hindsight a high mileage lease might have been a more effective approach. I imagine getting a c8 lease is difficult with a shortage of availability.
How do you negotiate due at signing? Seems like theres no way around that.
Buying a Tesla model S for summer and listing it was EXACTLY what I was thinking about doing for the same reasons. I keep seeing model 3's all over Turo and there's only one person renting out a 2018 model S 75D in my area for $300/day. Maybe I can out price him but i've never done this before so my mind is hesitating and fighting with itself 😫
DO IT take the risk! You’ve done the research now execute
You think a 2019 Honda civic sr can be a good starter?
I just bought one to rent in the ft Lauderdale, Miami Market. Fingers crossed. It's my first turo car 🚗
let us know how you do
So far it's been great. I'm a few months ahead already.
I live in Miami now, I must go to California to speak with you
I doubt 15 days at $620 when the other ones are more popular in the 300's and 400's and Miami has been wide open....still gonna be a moneymaker tho
It's not a mistake in Atlanta
Really? I’m in Atlanta and I’m thinking about jumping in this game.
amazing I have an A4 I’m thinking of buying an S4 and renting out both just don’t know how I can do that if I also have a FT job 🤒🥴 maybe a task rabbit but idk. Thanks so much for these videos motivation
create an IG page and have the link to cars in your BIO and see if you get a bite
How is the competition? I've thought about buying the c8 as a tax write-off/side hustle.
Do you think a C8 will work in Seattle?
But what about the overhead of meeting the renters, taking all the pics before and after...logistics. That takes time. What happens if there are small scratches or dings you don’t notice immediately. There’s a lot of overhead IMO that’s not accounted for.
Hi i need help to jump into luxury brand like bmw
Do u have advice
I have mazda 3 2015 i pay 220$ per month
I list it on turo for 130$/day that is doing good
I am looking for bmw 3 series 2019 41 000$
Financing is 1800$/ month and i am scared to not have enough customers in turo to be able to pay monthly payment and insurance
I don’t know how much to put it per day on turo
I'm waiting on the new c8 z06 convertible
How are you finding C8’s at $70k: all I see are $100k plus prices?
Youre probably better off upping the deductible and keeping more cash if you’re getting these higher day rates. 30% of your $9,300 is pretty massive
Red&Black 😍
Lol what happened? I'm looking at the Los Angeles C8 listings and average price is like $175 a day. Are you still renting yours for $620?
Nope! Sold it for 30% above what I purchased it for :)
Have you had or know someone who had added a car on Turo and didn't get a booking?
Also I have personal Truck 2017 f150 fully loaded with 49k miles. I want to try my truck out before I decide what kind of car I want to buy on Turo and start my journey, I'm a little hesitant just because I just got this truck and I'm a little hesitant as to 1. How it will do 2. How people will treat it. Any advice?
Easy question, are you emotionally attached to the truck or just see it as an asset/liability? Do not start this until you remove your emotions from the vehicle.
Trucks get wrecked all the time and transmission problems from towing
I started Turo this month and so far my vehicle is booked for the rest of the month. I also have 1 booking in June and 1 in July. Do not get attached with your vehicle
Do you actually ever own these cars? or just trade them in once they are cooked?
She's gorgeous
Hasn't the value of the C8 only gone up since the release?
A couple "problems" with these types of sportscar vehicles (for those of us residing in regions where we get an actual winter):
•You'd be nuts to rent them out during the winter months. (Most motorists cannot handle the power. Damp, wet, snowy, or icy roads would make driving them dangerous. The salt & brine on the roads will corrode the car's chasis).
•While the car sits during the winter, your monthly vehicle loan or lease payments continue coming...
•A little minor fender-bender will easily lead to a $5,000+ repair bill.
It doesn’t get that cold down south! 60 degrees is winter time for us. Lol
@@GeorgiaMade404706. When I wrote the entry ~3 wks. ago, I was thinking: "for those of us residing in regions where we get an actual winter." But I probably omitted those actual words in the interest of shortening the entry.
I'm in the Mid-Atlantic (east coast) area. We didn't get much snow this past winter (2020-21), but it's a crap shoot situation. During medium-heavy snow events, they saturate our roads with salt & brine. It corrodes vehicle chassis & undercarriages. (People bust out in t-shirts & shorts if we get 60°F in Jan. or Feb.)

@@SoundScientist1 Gotcha
No doubt you can make money on a C8 rental. She mentioned hers being a rare car. That's for her Turo renters. They are all automatic removable top coupe's. People are going to thrash this rental. The day to day is going to be higher due to brakes and tires. It is good money. Personally I would buy 2. 1 rental and then my own. She isn't that into the car she is into the $$$$$. Which is fine
Turo taking 30 percent off? Damn they stealing bread. If I were id build my own platform and reduces those rates and pocket way more profit.
Not only 15 to 40% plus what the put on top of your price
I understand that they provide the marketing, insurance, payment options and everything but sometimes what they charge the customer it’s almost what we ask. In the end the make more money than us with 40-15% plus what they Put on top with fees.
Sometimes customers complains about the price but it’s not our fault as a host.
Airbnb does the same
@@lucasamorimporto3300 Exactly. They do all this without owning 1 car. The middleman tech space is the real winner here
2 questions , what do you do for a living ?
Why buy an automatic? ?
That's here full time job and they only come in automatic plus not to many people can drive manual.
Those day rates are ridiculous maybe it is the california tax happening but on a 60-75k car being that much I can rent a BMW x7 fully loaded 125k plus car for 200 a day I would have to say anyone spending that much a day at 600 dollars is a fool and not worth it given the value of the car
You're not realizing the c8 is a niche market. These cars are new on the road. They aren't seen everyday in some cities. You're also comparing apples to oranges. Think of the Polaris slingshot. Not a very expensive vehicle but people rent them since they probably won't ever buy one. They are not practical. Just like a c8. An x7 is a little more practical even if it is an overpriced suv.
C8s are pretty rare. Definitely a niche market.
@@christopherhendricks4369 yea I understand but it is just a corvette at the end of the day not some rare limited run car, pretty soon you will see one on every corner once production gets going full blast. I see this car at the 150-200 range in a few months everywhere. However there are some cars here where I live that are cheap like a model S p100d ludicrous for only 137 a day. But in california and miami and new york it is a different market and completely different than any other turo market elsewhere
I even doubt she is telling truth, I can see a 2015 911 convertible with daily rate at about $400 and this is the car worth more than 2 times her C8.
@@adamp2384 oh no doubt about that. But you know how it is. Dealerships jack up the price by 20k on these when they get them. They know people will bite because there's always that person who has to be the first to have it. Once the newness wears off the prices will get in line.
Not very often you see a car as fetching as the owner. There is possibly, somewhere a very lucky man.
Hey, can i contact you?
Obviously NOT a mistake. Best car I’ve ever owned
You are not finding any newer model vette for 60-68k for sale without the dealer 20-30k markup anywhere.
Absolutely true. As always demand creates huge price increases
Watched for 5 straight minutes and learned absolutely nothing new.
Your car is not that rear, because I have 2lt hard top 2021 C8.
Research maintenance ASAP. I hear maintenance costs are ridiculous because the C8 is a mid-engine car meaning parts are hard to access without removing the engine.
You heard wrong for the most part. Basic maintenance doesn’t require engine removal.
How the fuck did you get a convertible for MSRP!?!?!?
Your looks really offsets the car thanks for the video my neighbor just bought one like that I can't keep my eyes off it
I bet you paid less than 80k on this vehicle.
There are trading for at least 95k
Even used
It’s insane
Correction
I bet you have not paid less than 80k”
@@lucasamorimporto3300 if she order the car at the beginning she probably paid less. She got a base model convertible
Are you from Pakistan too ? Yay !

@@saimahsexperience haha appreciate it!
Hey Travis, I’m in south Florida as well (though I mostly stay in West Palm Beach). I have a C7 and always look at your cars :) love your C8 and also the R8! Quick question if you don’t mind. I noticed you ask your renters to bring proof they have their own insurance. Why is that? Do you not rely on Turo’s protection plan in case your renter gets into an accident? Thanks!
@@glimaboston No sir I don't, I'm commercially insured. and thanks!
But why would you buy something that is risky to affort rather buy a house then a brand new corvette... house will always stay its value than a car is unless is a clasic
Not always true... remember 2008/2009?
she making 5 to 6k profit......your not making that on a house.
What's with the constant references to having an "automatic transmission"? Are you not aware that all C8 Corvette's have auto transmission? They don't make manuals anymore.
Ain’t no way you got this car at a good price; unless you got some kind of special treatment that not everyone has
She says 5k a month is"okay" uhhhhhh 5k a month is considered rich in my mind, that's MORE then comfortable living. Also there's no point in renting a car to people unless its paid off. Bcuz all the money you make is going right back into the payment especially if you live in an area where tourism isn't big.
Hell no! Never pump cash into a depreciating asset. Take that money and invest in other assets and GET OUT THOSE SMALL TOWNS, THEY’RE DEAD END. Before you know it you’ll be 40-50 years old and wondering where your life went
@@GeorgiaMade404706 damm thats me...haha
You said “it’s automatic”, when all C8 corvettes are automatic.
she said it was rare but its a hard top which ain't the rarer type its still rare but not the highest tier she also missed up the money the base is 59k not 60k. unless she said it was not a hard top nevermind she has the automatic one. which is rarer but not by much
I'm would never rent a c8 for that amount of money
That's here business she is not attached to the vehicle. She is making ton of money
5 trips in 3 months. 1 review.
Was it a mistake? Unless you lower your price, Yes it was.
They are all automatic
