man you snapped with this one. i’m 22 as well and just bought a 2017 2SS fifty anniversary camaro. Excellent credit and a healthy downpayment to combat interest is a must. i pay like $580 with insurance combined. Car is like 27k got it during winter🙏🏾

Taking a 72 month loan on a for fun car is not the best financial decision. With the prices of C8s falling and interest rates set to be lowered this year, you could have saved thousands in total interest and lower purchase price if you wait a bit. That said I also made the decision to buy one, although I choose to pay cash. Gotta enjoy the big NA V8s before they are gone lol.

Sounds like you are financially astute but please invest in your future if you haven't already by taking advantage of a roth IRA especially at your young age. I get it. Cars (depreciating assets) can be intoxicating at any age (I'm 56 and retired) but they will consume your current resources at the cost cost of future financial investments. Enjoy your C8. I'm upgrading to an E-ray later this year.

I’m writing this comment at the begging of the video, but if he could comfortably afford it. Then I think he’s fine. Honestly you only live once, if he keeps Jesus first and really likes the car. And if he’s able to afford it I see no issue. I’ve spend lots of money into a turbo civic, and I’ll never be able to get out what I’ve put back into it. But I enjoy it, it brings me joy and sometimes in life you just gotta say whatever and do the stuff that makes you happy.

i’m 20 i got my 2023 camaro 3LT RS 10 speed auto with the npp valve exhaust. everybody grind just need credit score above 700 and need 5-10k minimum for down payment and your good.

Nice car bro can’t wait to see the modifications you can get done on it. I’m personally looking at a C7 Grandsport or a C7Z06 to buy. I like the overall look of the C7 grandsport and the C7Z06 better than the base C8 stingray. Plus the modifications you can do to them is crazy. I like the C8Z06 and that’s my dream car but I definitely can’t afford that right now in my current situation. I mocked up the exact one I would want and it easily crossed $180k😂 also I’m trying to save up for a house and here in SoCal it’s ridiculous the housing market that is.

I dropped $32k and my payment is $698. Insurance is $180. Definitely my dream car and got it brand new for the low so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Getting it shipped for $1,400 to TN. I gotta add the Stingray R package like yours for $500 at my local dealership.

Financing with a bank and having good credit. Have low debts if you have any credit cards, good payment history. Gotta have credit history too.. gotta have steady job and income obviously too.

Honestly CPO is better than brand spanking new these days. You save quite a bit from losing on depreciation, and still enjoy a basically new car.

Just got my c8 2020 CMG with 9k miles with a lot of options MSRP was 111k priced at 80k got it for 74k with a 29k trade in on a C5z. Really hopping the market bottoms out a bit but I’ll prolly lose like 4-8k In depreciation in a year. How much yall think the c8s will go for ina year?
And I got it for 60 months payment is $968 and with a 750 credit at 21 years of age

Usually to a credit score that high you have to have a lot of debt in your name. Like having a house and things like that.
i had a 815 credit at that age and i was far from debt its not that hard just dont miss a payment ..i just pay it the second a receive it (you dont need to finance a house .. a car is fine )

I got a 2024 for 66k before the price jump. Bare bones 1LT. I didn't have any credit history other than cards but I had a 760. I put down 33k and pay 613 a month. I got high 7% through GM. GM also allows you to pay on principle tho which is nice.
For insurance I found Travellers to be the best insurance.

They offered it but I declined. Certified cars come with 100k mile powertrain warranty.
It’s a great car but just think if you invested that amount per month for 72 months,
I mean you do you, but 10-11k in interest over the life of the loan is a lot of money, not to mention car payments over $800/m mean you need to make net 8k or more a month to properly afford the car with enough left over for everything else.
9 time out of 10 I won’t have the car for a full 6 years but I do understand your point. Thanks for the comment

$56 a month full coverage through Travelers Insurance, 0% interest on a 2LT 2024. New cars with high credit will get you 0%. More car, keep your cash in your bank earning interest. Might seem to be "big game" to buy cash, but that means absolutely nothing to the dealership. Paying zero or exceptionally low interest and keeping your money invested makes way more sense.
