Ben ,i have an expedition like yours on 32s and love it. I had a hard time deciding between it and a Ranger 1500xd. I drove my buddies Ranger 1500xd northstar, it is a great machine, but i like the shocks and seats on my expedition better . Great comparison video.

Good choice. The xpedition is by far a better trail machine. Especially in tight woods. The 1500 is a special machine in its own ways. Thanks for the input.

Great comparison, i definitely agree the increased height of the 1500 would be hitting a lot more limbs Intresting the suspension travel is nearly identical for a work focused machine

@@randysavage8963 I was truly impressed with the 1500. I did not expect it to be that good. It did articulate a tad more but if it had 32s and piggy backs it would’ve did even better.

I’m struggling to make up my mind on which machine to purchase. I really am looking hard at the 1500 for noise and seating. I live in WV so we have a lot of steep inclines and I worry about the performance in those situations that you highlighted. Do you think after some time in it that it’s something you would get used too and become just as capable with it?

@@chadeverett-i5m in my experience it’s 90% driver and 10% machine. The 1500 is very capable and I’m sure you would be fine.

Would anything change in your testing if the Xpedition was a 2 door?

Sorry for the noob question I’m new to this. Everything really. Articulation, body roll etc. I appreciate your videos as they are not overly complicated to understand and in real world conditions and not a walk around video in the garage. I have the exact model but in a 2 door and I’m not seeing videos on YT solely based on the 2 door versions. Everyone seems to have the 4 door version

@@chriseph8030 when I started this journey of buying cabbed machines I was in your boat, so I totally understand. The 2 seater versions will perform very similarly in aspect to each other as well. But perform very different in scenarios compared to the four seats. The four seater versions are much longer, so the tail end takes longer to get to the same spot as a four seater. A lot of times a two seater will lift the front tire a lot faster than a four seater. But on a short hill it might not have to articulate like the 4 seater. I may try to get a set a 2 seater’s if enough interest arrives.
