It's been some time since we messed about with PVC drifting, however we've always used Rear Wheel Drive cars to do it. After seeing our previous attempts - the guys at www.pvcdrift.com got in touch and sent us a couple of pairs of their PVC Drift Rings especially! Top Dudes. So, we paired up our Gritter Hyundai Getz with.... Another Hyundai Getz to make a matching pair for PVC Twin Drift Battles!
We kick off by getting both Getz into the garage where the Driftland team set about following the pvcdrift.com instruction videos and fit the 4 rings to 4 spacesavers we'd purchased. Once this was done (after a bit of an issue where the boys get their hammers out) then we fitted each car with a water spray system to keep the plastic rings cool. Once system was liberated from our Drift Taxi Nissan 350Z (thanks 350!) and another made from one of the many scrap E46s that mechanic Stuart keeps collecting. After fitted, and tested (ish) Jeek and Ren are first up on track.
PVC Drifting is HARD! wow! check out how Jeek progresses and Ren and the others mostly spin. Later on Gareth gets things hooked up and the pair of them tackle the British Drift Championship layout in a true drift battle! It can only end one way!

Drifting my 92 accord the same way felt way easier than that looked lol. Maybe you just need more wheel base length

We southerners will let you have a "wee" bit more practice-o, before the OFFICIAL pvc call-out. Get those wall runs, door on door and manlines in, cos we are coming 😘😂😝

the key is a very throttle responsy engine because to not spin u have to mad it and a bit extra angle

I own a getz, and let me just say she hauls ass around corners.
Dynamically the worst car I've ever driven. It feels like you are riding on it rather than inside it. Such a vague and uncommunicative chassis with so much roll, poor damping and poor weight distribution. Small cheap cars can be fun, the French were proving that way before this thing ever existed. How can you make it so bad?
