    Got the JVC Speakers installed in the front of mine now. Sounding Good. Tip: I just unsoldered the wires from the old speakers and re-soldered to the spade terminals on the new ones - no need to cut wires or use heat shrink. My Getz has electric windows, so no crank handle to remove, but a couple of connectors to remove at the back of the door panel if you want to get it right out of the way.

    Imagine my surprise at the first RUclips video I find on replacing Getz speakers is not only Australian, but in my local area!
    Looks like you didn't replace the tweeters above the front door panels? But I know what size to get now, if I'm going to replace the speakers. Will probably just do the front at first and see what difference that makes. Very useful.

      Haha, awesome, man! Mine didn't have tweeters😄 I'll probs leave them too and won't bother 💯

      @@budget4x4life After watching this I took the trim off my front Driver's door to look at my speakers. not totally shot like yours were, but I'd still like to replace. Mine have 4 mounting screws for the speakers to the frame, where yours have 3. My mounting screws are 5 1/2 inches across from one to the opposite one. I'm thinking that 6-6/12 inch speakers might be too big. What year is your Getz? (Mine is 2009). Did you get your speakers at Repco Lawnton?

      @Iainsimo I used to have the newer model Getz and it took the same size so you'll be fine I reckon. Just keep receipt incase it doesn't fit for some reason. But make it work💯 Yes I did haha how did you know😄

    I bought recently a Getz 1.1i from 2006. My sounds system is also pretty crap and I want to change them but idk where to start. This video is really perfect! Thanks allot. 👌 Do you know the size difference from the front and the back? I think front is 16cm and back maybe 15cm? I would like to know!

    • @budget4x4life
      @budget4x4life Год назад +1

      Awesome mate no worries at all 🙂💯 yeah I think they were the same size. Just make sure the speakers you buy say 6-6.5 inch and you good to go 👌🏼🔥

    Thanks needed some background info for my upgrade, now just need to get an inverter and then drop in my 2x Logitech Z623 2.1 Speakers, Subwoofers will sit in the footwell so passengers can place there feet either side of them and the satellites will probably be gaffa taped to the rear head rests..... :-{D

    Nice video. I left you a comment on your other video about the purchase. So, the front speakers are 6.5 inch, but what is the size of the rear speakers then? Do you think it'd be the same for a 2006 5-door Getz? I wanna do the same upgrade but don't want to drill any additional holes to the frame.
    Cheers mate

    Hey mate, thinking of buying a Getz and learning on manual with one, or a swift or a similar hatchback, does the low power of most of the 4cyls help with getting used to clutching?

    • @budget4x4life

      Hey matey the Getz is such an easy car to drive💯 clutch is very easy. Doesn't release too high like other cars. You'll lovit. Very reliable cars too🙂

    What speaker adapter brand and part number did you use for the front speakers?

  • @ruudkaffa3639
    @ruudkaffa3639 4 месяца назад

    For the rear you should have switched the brackets left to right and right to left , more room for speakers and less chance on vibrations
