I was really eager to try the Olay mineral sunscreen after watching your video. So I went to Target and used it after I applied Azeliac acid cream (prescription for PIH), my moisturizer and then the sunscreen. It did not go on as smooth and left a white cast-ten minutes later, my face is looking casket ready 🤦🏾♀️! My skin is a shade or two lighter than your skin shade-really thought it was going to work for me as well. The best mineral sunscreen that has been working for me so far is the CoTZ Flawless Complexion (tinted broad spectrum SPF 50).
Thanks but my skin is extra extra extra dry and the Azeliac acid is healing my PIH but also leaving me face dry, so will def need that extra layer of moisturizer for sure! Thanks for your feedback 👍🏾
The white cast is due to the azelaic acid . I’m Lupita’s color and use azeliac acid as well but I apply the it on wet skin, then apply cerave lotion then apply my mineral sun screen. I don’t get a cast, after it settles with these three products
I'm Ukrainian but this helped me so much because even though I'm pale sometimes I don't like that white cast myself.Thank you! I wish their were more options for POC because it seems like yall go through the most just to find something that works. Yay to Olay though! 🤗

OMG YES!!! The Olay is a game-changer! 4:59 I’ve had a bad reaction to every chemical sunscreen I’ve ever tried, and all the mineral ones left a noticeable chalky white cast. I was about to give up, but after seeing this I decided to try the Olay and WOW! No white cast and not too emollient, even on my dry skin! Saw you on Instagram with the olay. I went directly to target and got it. I'm In love with it! I have about 8 other different mineral sunscreens and this is my favorite! Thanks 😊
That Olay sunscreen has me SHOOK 😱😱 I'm not even in the market for a mineral sunscreen, but now I want that one just to see! //puts this on my "buy on sale" list
Thank you so much for reviewing this sunscreen. Per your review I went out and bought this from target. My skin is deeper than yours and it literally did not leave a white cast after letting it sit for about 7 minutes. I'm so relived to have a mineral sunscreen that doesn't make me look ashy. I can tolerate chemical sunscreens just fine. However I like to know that I have the options to wear a mineral sunscreen. does the olay mineral spf contain iron oxides? thanks for this review! it’s such a challenge finding an invisible mineral sunscreen for skin of color. you’ve convinced me to give this a try.
It doesn’t but it has tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) which is an antioxidant that helps reduce the effects of visible light. I actually would like to get an expert on the channel to talk about which antioxidants to look for that help protect us from visible light.
Your Supergoop review kills me! I'm a Korean skincare SPF convert so this is not my issue, but Olay sounds good tho. Regardless, you're hilarious cuz (you're not literally my cousin but you know). Your transparency re. affiliations is refreshing. Keep on!!
Lmaooo hey cuz!!! Yesss Korean sunscreens are bomb, too! I have another round of Korean sunscreens to test and will have another video up hopefully in April. ❤️❤️ thank youuu!
I've been using the Supergoop for a couple of weeks. I like it a lot. The Unseen is good but seemed too silicone-y sometimes. I like the Sheer Mineral finish better.
Girl, I tried the super goop sunscreen and it did not look good on me, and I thought it was quite pricey for the size. I will try Olay. It definitely looks like a better buy. Thank you for your recommendations and for being so honest. Sending you lots of love. xoxo
I bought the Olay sunscreen and wore it yesterday under foundation. Babaaaaa, this is a game changer for me, love it! I'm In Florida and it was 85 degrees yesterday. When it gets really hot, lol, I don't even think I need moisturizer, it is perfect. Olay need to compensate you, frfr. The best I've used, and I've used a lot.
Great review thank you. Just started using the super goop chemical version. Will try this one now. Question: do you have a video on how to reapply sunscreen for makeup wearers? Thanks 😊
Thank you for making this video! I have been searching for a mineral sunscreen to buy for my friend for her birthday. I got her the super goop unseen as well, but of course that's not mineral because I want her to have choices. She hasn't always been the best about wearing sunscreen so I am trying to help her step up her game now that we are both older and wiser.
I have tried quite a no.of them mineral sunscreens but nothing beats olay,,i loooove it!! It blends so well. Thank you so much for this video,God bless
I have fallen in love with the kid's version of Black Girl sunscreen. It's a mineral sunscreen. I'm 55, and it has me looking all luscious. I will try the Olay. Am I supposed to be using that much? You use a lot.
Found you from the review of the Supergoop that Dr ALexis Stephens did. This is amazing! Exactly what I have been looking for, I will definitely be trying the Olay sunscreen.
I so wanted this to work. I purchased the Supergoop Sheer Screen Sunscreen. I applied, rubbed in, rubbed in and waited 10 minutes filled with hope. Well, when I walked out on my deck, family quickly told me I looked like Casper and needed to take that stuff off. I will say that Replenish has been the best so far out of the many mineral sunscreens I've tried. Cotz works okay for the winter months, but you're left shining like a traffic light. Still searching ...
I have been using the Olay for about a month or so and I LOVE it!! Believe it or not it does not make you greasy or your makeup melt. Long wearing. But not sweat proof. Just fyi! I will continue to buy it.
Thank you for this video! For me, the primary reason to wear mineral sunscreens is to protect coral reefs. Chemical sunscreens are part of the reason coral reefs are deteriorating as they are poison for corals. Even if I am not visiting a reef, I always look for "Reef Safe" sunscreens. Are these two? I will look them up.
Have you tried Cerave’s facial moisturizing lotion spf 30? Its mineral and not that bad. I’ve tried biossance and supergoop. Cervave leaves less of a white cast.
Hi doc...so i live in the Caribbean: a country called Trinidad.Would love to see a video on mineral sunscreen for skin of colour in hot climate countries,as the temp here is between 28 degrees celcius to 36 degrees celcius and using sunscreens tend to make us shine alot and cause our faces to be darker than our bodies.I would love for you to also consider sunscreens that do not have alot of oils and sunscreens used for oily skin.Btw,I watch all your videos:oily skin or not.I have normal skin and would rather a suncreen for oily skin over dry because I can not tolerate the excess shine with sunscreens for dry skin.
@@faceonnailsdonehairdid no worries! I was making sure because a number of people from the UK were asking me when the Olay mineral is coming there, but I didn’t even see it on the Olay UK site. Great that you saw it at Boots and Superdrug!
@@styleandbeautydoctor So...I just tried to order what I thought was the Olay Mineral sunscreen and realised what came up when I searched for 'Olay Mineral Sunscreen' is the Regenerist 3 Point Anti Ageing Range that Boots and Superdrug have stocked for a while. Sorry for the confusion. Pity, because the packaging is almost identical to the mineral sunscreen you demo'd. Clearly it hasn't come to the UK yet, guess we'll have to wait- should've known it was too good to be true. Please let us know, if you find out when it'll be available in the UK.
@@styleandbeautydoctor OK… I’ve been using the new Olay sunscreen for about a week now. I absolutely love it! It wears well underneath make up. It wears well by itself. I use the 2 finger application process to apply it and I don’t have any white cast. This is the best sunscreens I’ve ever tried.
Thank you sunscreen 👸 for yet another amazing video! I’ve been waiting for UK to get themselves sorted and get us some Supergoop mineral sheer sunscreen. Olay one is coming out £69 on Amazon. Need to make a trip to the US to get my hands on some of this 😍
I've always loved your sunscreen reviews! Although i no longer want to spend my money on inorganic sunscreens, but i do love watching your reviews! Also, you have such a beautiful skin. Even when you wear a mineral sunscreen that leaves the worst white cast, you still look amazing! By the way, i feel quite frustrated ever since B-Lab and Keep Cool sunscreens were recalled from the market because they are the only organic sunscreens that don't irritate my skin. I had no problems using my Skin Aqua sunscreens for the past few months, but lately, they suddenly irritate my skin after i start using Adapalene (they sting so bad, but the stinging sensation goes after a few minutes, and they don't break me out. But i don't feel comfortable wearing them in a long term). I think it has to do with Octinoxate in them - they're both fragrance- and alcohol-free, because i'm sensitive to those things. I want to see another affordable sunscreens with newer filters. My favorites are Tinosorb S, Uvinul A Plus, Uvinul T150 and the new Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone. I hate seeing brands combining newer and more stable filters with older filters in their sunscreen formulation, because it means they aren't friendly for sensitive skin.
Thank you so much!!! And yes, I have noticed that a lot of the sunscreens I’ve tried so far with newer filters also combine them with octinoxate. I don’t know a ton about the formulation side so not sure why they combine the newer ones with the “older” ones.
Hi! You mentioned neither of these would be your go to in the summer. I also have oily skin, what’s your favorite sunscreen to wear under makeup in the summer that is oily skin proof? Thanks!
Does #olay really understand the power of your influence????? Because, I screenshot this sunscreen from your IG last week, watched the video today and in less than 2 hours this was in my cart and purchased. Also, I went to (2) stores looking for it, CVS was out, and I found it here at Meijers in Michigan. We ❤️ you @stylenbeautydoc for always bringing us the best information and accompanying products!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾...receipts in your DM
Hi Loving your content, can you please tell me if those mentioned products are irritating for the eyes? I have uber sensitive eyes which is why I find it so difficult to find a good SPF.
I ordered the olay and it is really great! It does a have a lil scent but not irritating and it doesnt sting around my eyes. It does feel hydrating and there is no white cast🥳 my skin is combo sensitive. Thankyou so much for recommending it❤️
Yay!! Glad it worked for you! Fragrance free doesn’t mean that a product won’t have a smell-it means there aren’t any ingredients in there whose sole purpose is to fragrant the product.
Hey, Thanks for the video. I'm on the hunt for the Olay one but I can't seem to find in on the EU or UK markets. Do you know if the same formulation is Branded differently over here?
New subscriber to both you and Dr. Alexis Stephens (heyyeyyy!) channels. I may have to give Olay a try (am I the only one who thinks Olay was wrong to drop the "Oil Of..." part? Facial oils, oil cleansing...IJS). I have sensitive skin (not as oily as she used to be but still retains some oil, yay!).
Love your videos - useful, specific. Particularly like how you explain what it will work for - eg oily skin, summer, with make up ! Question, I live in singapore (hot and humid all year round), have medium brown skin (North Indian descent) and looking for a good everyday facial sunscreen for under make up and on it’s own. I’m currently using Australian gold mineral tinted. Would love your suggestions!
I have been loving the Olay mineral SPF! I only wish it was available in SPF 50! I just can't be shelling out $40+ for all of these high end sunscreens. I typically buy sunscreen on Yesstyle but since a lot of sunscreens have been pulled from the market for testing due to a quality issue at a manufacturer that produces multiple products, I've been struggling through a lot of awful North American sunscreens. I am the palest of the pale but I swear to you, some mineral sunscreens look chalky on me lol!🤣🤣🤣 I think the Olay SPF is a beautiful product. Not only minimal to zero white cast, but also leaves a nice finish and keeps my skin moisturized. Love your energy, girl! I can sense your passion for insulating everyone can find a sunscreen that can work for them so there's no excuse not to wear it!
The Olay Mineral Sunscreen is fantastic. I've been using it for a few weeks now. It has the perfect consistency, minimal white cast, and a matte yet hydrating finish. It also seems to help with reducing the look of visible pores. I love it!
Yes, anyone can use both sunscreens mentioned in the video and any other sunscreen on the market as long as you're not allergic to them. P.S. you can use or wear anything you want no matter the label.
I’m going to get the Olay. Can this be used after using my moisturizer? Like if I wait 5 minutes or so? Also how much do you apply? Thanks so much for your videos. They are very helpful.
hey! You may not need to use a moisturizer before applying this because it's pretty moisturizing on its own---however there may be circumstances where you'll feel like you need a moisturizer first (during the winter, dry skin, etc). You'll have to try it out to see which works better for your skin. I would definitely give the moisturizer about 5-10 mins before applying this sunscreen since I've found that not waiting with some mineral sunscreens creates a white cast (or an even worse white cast with some sunscreens). You need 2 mg of sunscreen per cm 2 of skin---exact amount varies person-to-person as we have different face and body sizes, but most folks use about 2-3 finger fulls for face and about a shot glass full for body.

First things first did you just say the BEST mineral sunscreen? Sorry I thought I clicked on The Style and Beauty Doctor's channel? Let me try again. 😂
Second the body suit is everything! Supes cute!!! 💞
🤣🤣🤣 thank youuuu
I bought the Olay mineral sunscreen because of you and I thank you so much for recommending that one. It's amazing 👏🏾
Hello I just got the Olay spf 30 and I love the way it feel and the way it look I absolutely love it Thank You so much I appreciate you and your videos.
You NEEEEED to try COTZ it is the BEST tinted mineral sunscreen i've ever tried with ZERO white cast, and is super affordable!
I already have lol
@@styleandbeautydoctor did you talk about it in a video yet?! If so I would looove to watch, and hear your opinion!
@@staceybrown724 yes-you can type the name of any minetal sunscreen on the search field on my channel to see if there’s a video on it. And check the description box for timestamps.
does the olay mineral spf contain iron oxides?
thanks for this review! it’s such a challenge finding an invisible mineral sunscreen for skin of color. you’ve convinced me to give this a try.
Perfect! I'm looking forward to it
Thank you for sharing this video. I saw in your previous video you tried the Olay Mineral Sunscreen. I definitely will be buying this.
You’re welcome!!! Let me know how it goes for you!
@@styleandbeautydoctor
I purchased the Olay mineral suncreen and have worn it for the past 2 days. I definitely recommend this suncreen.
your videos are always so organized. Can't thank you enough for this video.
Thank youuuu ❤️❤️❤️
Can't wait to try the olay one
Let me know how you like it!
Sending you lots of love. xoxo
Awww man! But let me know how the Olay works for you ❤️❤️
yes pls did u get the olay?
I get a cast, dry patches with olay mineral...a disapointment
I bought the Olay sunscreen and wore it yesterday under foundation. Babaaaaa, this is a game changer for me, love it! I'm In Florida and it was 85 degrees yesterday. When it gets really hot, lol, I don't even think I need moisturizer, it is perfect.
Olay need to compensate you, frfr.
The best I've used, and I've used a lot.
Okkkkk 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿 sooooo happy it worked for you!!!
You have such a fun energy! 😊 thanks for the reviews!!!
Awwww thanks!!!
Great review thank you. Just started using the super goop chemical version. Will try this one now. Question: do you have a video on how to reapply sunscreen for makeup wearers? Thanks 😊
Thanks! And yep-just search my channel for makeup friendly sunscreen from last year ❤️
Thank you for making this video!
You’re so welcome!!! Glad it worked for you ❤️❤️
You stay having me add sunscreens to my Ulta cart. I'm going to go on ahead and add the Olay one.
Lmaooo let me know how it works out for you!
Gurl Gurrrrrrrl you better come through with all the information. Cant wait to get off to go get this Olay
Thanks, boo! Haha! Let me know how you like it!
I have fallen in love with the kid's version of Black Girl sunscreen. It's a mineral sunscreen. I'm 55, and it has me looking all luscious. I will try the Olay. Am I supposed to be using that much? You use a lot.
The BGS kids sunscreen isn’t mineral-it has three organic/chemical UV filters. Also please watch the full video-I explained why I used so much
@@styleandbeautydoctor Oh no. Why did I think the kids was mineral. Boo.
Thanks for this review! Definitely will try the Olay one!👍👍
Found you from the review of the Supergoop that Dr ALexis Stephens did. This is amazing! Exactly what I have been looking for, I will definitely be trying the Olay sunscreen.
Oop!! The Olay has Niacinamide? Ok she might actually be that girl.
I bought the olay sunscreen because of you and i love it no white cast perfect for my dry and sensitive skin thank you a lot god bless you
Yesss! So glad you love it! ❤️
I bough the Olay sunscreen because of you yesterday, I even got the last one on the shelf.......SCORE.
Ayeeeee
I've been using this for a few weeks now. Love it. I owe finding it to you. I would have never tried it.
Awww yay!!! ❤️❤️
Has the Olay mineral sunscreen been discontinued? I see you didn't mention Elta.
I have been using the Olay for about a month or so and I LOVE it!! Believe it or not it does not make you greasy or your makeup melt. Long wearing. But not sweat proof. Just fyi! I will continue to buy it.
Glad you like it! Yes, it’s definitely not water resistant. But no sunscreen can be fully waterproof or sweatproof.
Ordered the Olay off Amazon. I have been using the Murad sunscreen. But I wanted a cheaper option. Thanks so much.
You’re welcome!!!
Yesss came from Dr. Alexis Channel.. new subbie..♥️♥️♥️
Awww thanks!!! Welcome to my channel ❤️❤️
@@styleandbeautydoctor Thank you! I'm so happy to be here. I will start binge watching so I can catch up, 🤗🤗🤗 and you're beautiful by the way...
@@TheProcessLife awww thank you!!!
Definitely going to try both of them with the warm weather approaching it’s hard to keep sunscreen on without sweating it off👏🏿👏🏿
Thank you for this video!
Thanks Danielle, the Olay will probably be my first mineral sunscreen purchase!
Yay-let me know how you like it!
Did u get it? What are your thoughts on it ?
OK, I have to try the Olay sunscreen. Thanks Danielle. For those in the UK, it's at Boots and Superdrug for £14.99, on offer.
You’re welcome! Which one is at Boots and Superdrug?
@@styleandbeautydoctor sorry I meant the Olay sunscreen, just edited my previous comment🙈
@@faceonnailsdonehairdid I'm in the UK and bought mine off Ebay. So far I am loving it!
Thanks for the video. I’m picking up a container of Olay SPF tomorrow.🙏🏾
You’re so welcome!!! Let me know how it goes!
@@styleandbeautydoctor Absolutely!
Thanks!
the supergoof "mineral sheer screen" didnt work for me :(. it took wayyyy to long to set in. imma try the olay next
Just found your channel a few days ago. You are so lovely! 🥰
Thank youuu!
Thanks for this information. I just started watching your videos. You have the knowledge of a dermatologist. Did you go to school for it?
Love the time stamps and editing!
Thank you so much for noticing that 🙏🏿❤️❤️❤️
Does #olay really understand the power of your influence????? Because, I screenshot this sunscreen from your IG last week, watched the video today and in less than 2 hours this was in my cart and purchased. Also, I went to (2) stores looking for it, CVS was out, and I found it here at Meijers in Michigan.

Hi Loving your content, can you please tell me if those mentioned products are irritating for the eyes? I have uber sensitive eyes which is why I find it so difficult to find a good SPF.
In my experience mineral sunscreens don’t irritate the eyes so these should work for you
Yesss what Lisa said ❤️❤️ and thank youuu
I have really sensitive eyes as well, and I've been using this for several days now with no irritation at all.
Thanks so much for this! def gonna give the olay a try!!
Do you reaply this during the day cause it is a day cream? Can i reaply with a chemical sunscreen over this one during the day?
@@styleandbeautydoctor so is it actually fragrance free? It doesn't say on the bottle. I need it to be fragrance free. Thanks.
Omg thank you. Finally got it! And it’s amazing!!!!! And it’s affordable
Hey,
Thanks for the video.
Hey!!! Thanks for subscribing ❤️❤️ let me know how it works out for you!
Love your videos - useful, specific. Particularly like how you explain what it will work for - eg oily skin, summer, with make up !

I am the palest of the pale but I swear to you, some mineral sunscreens look chalky on me lol!🤣🤣🤣
I think the Olay SPF is a beautiful product. Not only minimal to zero white cast, but also leaves a nice finish and keeps my skin moisturized.
Love your energy, girl! I can sense your passion for insulating everyone can find a sunscreen that can work for them so there's no excuse not to wear it!
New to your channel! What about pilling under makeup?
I don't use mineral sunscreen but I'm curious about the Olay so I'm going to try it. Thanks!
Let me know how it goes!
Did you try it? Thoughts on it?
The Olay Mineral Sunscreen is fantastic. I've been using it for a few weeks now. It has the perfect consistency, minimal white cast, and a matte yet hydrating finish. It also seems to help with reducing the look of visible pores. I love it!
🙌🏿🙌🏿
Can men use it
Yes, anyone can use both sunscreens mentioned in the video and any other sunscreen on the market as long as you're not allergic to them.
P.S. you can use or wear anything you want no matter the label.
Visible pores?!!!😶I'm on it!
I really hope Black Girl Sunscreen comes out with a mineral sunscreen. The one that's out breaks me out and burns my eyes. I wanted to love ot!!
That would be awesome if they did! ❤️❤️
Have you tried “Black Girl Sunscreen”? I purchased mine at Target. Can you try it and provide your recommendation. Thanks!
Hey!! Check out my video on mineral sunscreens for darker skin! I mention it there: ruclips.net/video/AV1qfb2r0FU/видео.html. 💕
@@styleandbeautydoctor great thanks so much!!
