The upper 21 mm bolt is spot welded to the frame in three places therefore you do not need a wrench on the top it’s designed so that when you back out the 17 mm bolt it’s forced out of the bushing because they usually get rusted in pretty solid. The same goes for the other 17 mm horizontal bolt.

just replaced my left side lower control arm on same vehicle. one has to torque the 3 connecting bolts when the weight of car is back on the tires. the bushings bind up and wear out extremely fast if you don't do it that way

..As respectfully as possible.....I dont think thats a good idea........The hardware is not meant to move the weight of the car.......The cars weight will side load the bolt and will not tighten up properly......There is also a steel bushing inside the rubber that will prevent you from squeezing the rubber too much......People have lost wheels tightening lugs with the weight of the car on the wheel.......Chances are its ok but it wouldnt hurt to jack it up and make sure there isnt any play with the weight off the car.......

JAN' 22. Have same job to do here in the UK at 59000 miles. Suzuki Dealer says RH assembly will cost around £233 but it is also currently on the 'net from £29 (?). Can you please recommend a Brand. Will wheel alignment check be necessary afterwards? Noticed your drilled brake discs look recently replaced too. Are these an improvement on the originals? Thanks for any advice. Best Regards.

...........................1 st and foremost ....almost all the AWD SX4 have a bad driveshaft (out of phase) that destroys the front end ...........................
Parts can be extremely cheap at times......especially with NOS ..........You will definitely need an alignment but I've seen it done without =)........You can always bring the parts to your mechanic =) Kool mechanics have no problem with that ........I wish I could recommend a brand but its the luck of the draw..........Both the brakes and pads I got from e bay (pre-drilled rotors)and have not regretted it ...........My original pads wore out at around 65000......at 120000 I replaced the pads and rotors with Ebay parts......I never noticed any difference in braking but the brakes work very well and have held up great at 170,000+ miles.......Good luck Bud.......

the oem wheel bearings in these SX4s are junk, rears are worse but are easy to do as they're pressed in a hub already. not sure why i'm still throwing money at my car as every time i fix something, seems like something else breaks within a few hundred miles. getting to the law of diminishing returns, haha
