    Have had that same model for a while, has been extremely handy, I like the high volume option… used it the other day to blow water out of the line to install new hydrant where a conventional compressor wouldn’t be convenient. Christy left it threaded onto a hay wagon and I drove away with it tumbling l, repaired the air line and the unit still works flawless so I can contest on its durability !

    We have two of these. I take one in the SUV out to the farm and used it multiple times. I got a second one to leave at the house and the wife and daughter uses it to air up their tires. Simple, easy to use. I would recommend the carrying case. It adds some protection to it, so if you just toss it around in the trunk or back of the suv, it keeps it from getting damaged and all the pieces together,

      @@MyClutteredGarage as you noted, the expensive part is the batteries, which you are already invested in. Most of the tools aren't that bad of price (they get you with the batteries). The older I get the more I like convenience

    I have another battery system and a very similar compressor. Love the thing. Great for flats out in the field. I keep it in my car on long trips or am pulling a trailer. Nothing shortens the life of a tire like low air pressure. I almost never use my big compressor or use a gas station's quarter eater. If you use it in 12 volt mode follow instructions carefully you may blow fuses if you don't. Carry spare fuses with the air compressor if you will be using it that way. Mine shuts off due to heat not time. Cannot be used until it cools enough. Still can fill one car tire from empty without it shutting off. Good reason to leave caps on and remove them as you go tire to tire as the compressor has a little time to cool between inflation. Also higher pressure meats faster heating (PV=nRT or pressure times volume is proportional to temperature). Tractor rear tires it will shut down a couple of times.

  • @keithrayeski6417
    @keithrayeski6417 2 года назад +2

    The question Ed, is will this give enough of blast to reseat a tractor tire that rolls off the bead?
    Great review! I like it. It’s definitely quality and a pretty well designed tool, and I’m not a HUGE fan of battery tools…but I admit to having a few, like a drill and impact driver. That’s pretty much it though. Still, I may consider this for two reasons; it’s Dewalt quality and, it does provide an auxiliary corded plug for vehicle use in case the battery falls short.
    Thanks for sharing.
    One other observation I’d like to make, and it speaks to your character AND, why you’re one of my preferred content creators. You give credit to another content creator, not just verbally but in a link during your video and, it your information section. That sets you apart from so many others.

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  2 года назад +1

      Thank you, Keith. I appreciate your kind comments. I sort of used the wrong terminology. This is considered a tire inflator, not really a compressor. It will not give a blast of air but as long as you can seal the bead it should inflate any tire. I’m looking forward to better maintaining pressure in all my tires since this thing is do darned convenient. Battery tools have come a long way! Thanks again. -Ed
