Good connection!

More like Knives Out
Definitely a Cain and Abel story.
Yep. I have 2 little brothers like that and it got so bad and dangerous the brother attacked had to cut all ties with the aggressive brother, or he would not be here. We are not awful people, not sure what happened to him
His own brother killed him bc he didnt have what he had
Awful, his brother couldn't take it, so sad for Brian and their mom, she lost both sons, the good one and the other one
Exactly. Jealousy caused this.
Right but Brian Williams cut him off he got tired of being taken advantage
Thanks for giving the story away

@@100com83 lmbo why hate I love my life lol
@@cardelljones7284 I agree with you 100%. People make professional athletes into "gods" although they are just regular people beneath it all. Sooner or later, after they get rich & famous, they realize what a BIG Lie the so called American Dream really is, but it's too late. They wasted years realizing that money & physical possession Do NOT bring happiness. Around 1988, a reporter did an investigation of all the big lotteries winners in the 1st 15 years of State Lotteries. He discovered that 50% went Bankrupt within 5 years. They spent all those millions but Happiness still eluded them. In the 1960's, the Beatles sang "Money Can't Buy You Love", but even 60 years later, most Americans still don't get it. It looks like poor Bison Dele didn't get it either.
@@cardelljones7284 true because he never really had a passion for basketball, but for the money which brought nothing but hanger on’s, misery and death. The poor mother lost two sons in a horrible way.

Such a tragic story from start to finish. His jealous brother wanted his life so he took it..... right when Bisen was finding the happiness he’d chased for so long. Truly sad and mysterious.

you make it sound like Bison lost something when he quit playing, when, on the contrary, he quit and was leading the life he always loved when tragedy struck.
I feel for him. I've struggled with depression all of my life. I was finally able to find good doctors and received meds that helped me. I can't tell you what a relief it is to feel like yourself again and not controlled by crazy thoughts and emotions. I wish Brian/Bison would have been able to find this peace himself.
Yeah I can attest to depression ruining you.
Depression doesn't lead to murder. I suffered for years and never thought about murdering anyone. His brother just mad Dele stopped financing his get rich schemes. I don't trust my brothers I stay away from them. I know they history. Just cause you have the same mom and dad don't mean anything if the love not there.
His brother committed suicide and took the secret with him as to what happened to his brother Bisen.
But where is the girlfriend and the captain then? So strange 😔
He felt guilty
RoyalBlue1 Right. So unfair
He threw all 3 of them overboard
@@christinabailey8111 That's exactly what he did. No bodies, no evidence. He committed suicide by overdosing on insulin to avoid prosecution and prison time. He said that he could not endure prison. It’s crazy how they both were depressed. Gotta make sure you don’t tie souls and have a kid with someone who has this many demons
i found that out the hard way thru my ex wife and her fam(HER mother, brother, aunt , a few cousins- I helped upgrade their lifestyle tremendously)..i did more for them than their own family ever did and got shit treatment from them in return for my efforts and almost ended up depressed myself trying to figure out how they could act that way towards me/ my family

How are you suppose to know that about your partner medical history? Depression wasn't taken seriously back then. Especially in Black families, mental illness was shunned upon.
I remember watching him get drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1991. I was a 10 year old girl in awe of the elaborate ‘drafting’ process that shaped the NBA...I just learned of his disappearance today so I am tripping out. I grew up watching this man on the court in the 90’s and there was always something about him... I am glad he got to explore and adventure before his disappearance... RIP B 💜
He was so handsome, I'm glad he had a chance to travel the world & find some happiness before his passing
He was beautiful... such a bizarre storyline with his brother. If you watch the 1991 nba draft, his brother is there when B was officially drafted. B pretty much ignores him while he hugs and acknowledges every one else in the family. Yes, at least he got to be a world traveler and dj 💛

Mental illness is a powerful issue
This nation is severely undereducated when it comes to mental illnesses. They call you weak and shame you, many times shun you when they dont understand the chemistry of the brain that creates these problems. I cry sometimes when i think of all the homeless people who resorted to drugs just to medicate themselves, and in the end wind up worse due to undiagnosed illnesses. They lose their minds, never to be reclaimed, and end up dying one way or another.

Man, this story hits home. My own brother tried to kill me, and im pretty sure he killed our mother, will never know because he is dead now, but, my mom mysteriously overdosed on pills that she was never known to possess or take, so, i am fairly certain he did murder our mother, and years after tried to kill me when i wouldnt financially support him any longer. sometimes, your blood is truly your worst enemy. I don't wish this kind of family turmoil upon anyone out there, but if you even slightly believe that someone you're close to is a psychopath, then do not hesitate to remove them from your life, or remove yourself from theirs.

Great job on this piece!
Gosh, this brings back so many sad thoughts. I'm from Detroit, and I really took a liking to Brian (Bison) when he played for the Bulls and the Pistons. I felt so sorry for him because people started saying such horrible things because of his mental health. That didn't change my love for him. I remember going to the games and always showing him love so he would know people still loved and appreciated him, instead of always hearing the negative comments. When he retired, I was heartbroken. And then when THIS happened, I cried and cried. Brian FINALLY was doing what he loved and his brothers greed, sickness and jealousy took it all away. Even though the chances were between slim and none that Brian and the others were alive, I still hoped and prayed they would be found. When his brother was caught trying to buy the gold, I knew the truth. Brian and the others were gone. 😭 And when his brother died, I knew what truly happened was buried forever.
You were loved Brian. 💗
My memory of Brian/Bison will always be Game 5 - Denver vs Seattle in the 1994 playoffs. That dude played his ASS off that day, leading the Nuggets to the first series win that an 8 seed would have over a 1 seed in the playoffs.
Me as well, that was an amazing series win by Denver, Seattle was loaded with talent and expected to possibly win it all that year. Brian/Bison gave a humorous interview about a speech he gave before the climatic victory clinching the win. He talked to his teammates of David vs Goliath moments in sports history and when he started talking about villanova beating Georgetown in 85 he said he felt someone glaring at him frowning, it was his nugget teammate Reggie Williams! Williams was on Georgetown’s 85 team clearly on the losing end Lmao.

He was a favourite player in those playoffs. I didn’t recognise him and he told me he was a 400metre runner and his name was Bison. I knew him as Brian Williams. But then everyday we play ball and chat. The next day I found out who he was. Had a laugh and spoke a lot about the nba. Others would ask the questions about Michael Jordan etc. I didn’t want get in his space to much even though deep down I wanted to hear more. He was very genuine and giving. He was very hippie like. Spiritual type guy and positive. We hang out for a 6 months. Late 2001. Also in Cairns. Where he travelled up the coast on that boat. I’ve got many stories. I really enjoyed hanging out.
So did he ever talk about his brother?
Sam King wow
Yeah Man U gotta tell some stories on here. Help his memory. U could shed a lot of light on who he was
What a beautiful man he was. Sad 😢
Damn, I remember him playing for our Detroit Pistons and also remember that he went missing. But didn't know the circumstances. Great video, tragic death.
I actually remember reading about what happened to Williams/Dele a couple of years ago, but this vid gave even more information. Well done. Very good narration. Nice video
Thank you for the kind words and support! If you do not mind telling us, what did you enjoy about the video?
@@NBAInsider I enjoyed the facts of it, and that era of basketball was my favorite. I was a huge fan of those Bulls teams, so watching this kind of takes me back to that time
Great editing. It feels like I am watching an HBO documentary. You got a new subscriber bro. Looking forward to your future works.
Stevie Wonder 🤣🤣🤣
How are you watching this 😎
I grew up in Tucson Arizona and he was a part of the Wildcats when I was a young teenager. I’ve been a fan all of my life and I remember him as part of the original team that got me hooked.
WOW. I’ve never been more riveted by a basketball story about a largely forgotten player and I’ve been watching for over 25 years now.
I remember him on the Bulls, but not until you showed it. One of the wildest NBA lives; this reminds of the Horror Stories RUclips channel, and I mean that as a sincere compliment.
Rodney Rogers is another interesting story. Both of them had some bad occurrences in their lives. I didn’t realize they joined the clippers together. Both of them were smooth shooting southpaws who had deceiving skillsets. Very good story
Never even knew neither went through all THIS!!! Wow!!! Checking that story out next
Yes the Nuggets had them both
Ammon Bakarri-O
Gotta agree with you thereI personally watched him play a few acc games at wake against unc and duke and he was a beast. He had an nfl build with incredible nba sklls
They didn’t touch on him in the last dance ?! I don’t remember
hearing his name
It depends on if the family wanted him in it or not
