Carlos G. Let’s be realistic you fanboy. Do you really think Jordan could go into today’s league and put up the points he did back then? Don’t be a clown. Look at the history of basketball and realize that scoring averages have been going down and down because of more emphasis on defense and better defenses. Was he greater in his time? Yeah he was. Was he a greater player by today’s standards? Absolutely not. Jordan was, is, and always will be Basketballs greatest icon, so people will always think that synonymous with greatest basketball player. It’s simply not true
Muhammad Ali and Jackie Robinson come to mind but neither one of them is quite there. Jordan is honestly as famous as beethoven and Napoleon and Alexander the Great. Only person ever probably more famous is Jesus himself
Mike Tyson, maybe. They are two of the most recognized athletes, but i think that Mike is more beloved one. He's not best boxer, but we talk about fame here.
Not even close, Basketball is not that popular outside the USA. The most well known athletes are all football players: Pelé, Maradona, Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, etc. Even F1 drivers like Michael Schumacher or Ayrton Senna are more well known than Jordan.

Omg I love this video as a MJ fan for life. I idolized him and till this day he’s the only athlete whose poster I had on my wall. And I was a girl non athlete lol. He’s my fav athlete EVER.
Kobe had same mindset as Michael. Obviously Kobe was a Kid at the times they were first playing. He seemed to want to push to get the best out of Mike because it would make him better. Alpha vs young Alpha. Play hard, spit your shit even knowing you right now don't have the hardware but I am coming. MJ respected that. That's why they became friends, ultimately why Kobe could lean on MJ not just about basketball but life. The phone always answered and texts got returned because Kobe never changed. His goal was to be the best. He was closest thing to MJ. He was feared and respected.
Barkley came back and ate them same words after he lost to Mike in the finals…….HIS WORDS: HES INCREDIBLE, UNBELIEVABLE; I CAN NOW SAY SOMEONE IS BETTER THAN ME.
When determining a GOAT, you can't compare guys by stats, by rings, etc. Different eras, different rules....makes it impossible to pick one over the other based on those things. So, what then? The GOAT is the one who was held in the highest regard by the players that came before him, played with him, and came after him. The GOAT is a guy who never felt it necessary to give that title to himself. And the GOAT is the guy whose career had the most profound impact on the game of basketball.
I is a logical and correct conclusion when you seen them all play the game and have their proper place in greatness. Michael Jordan is that Icon that had everyone for the first time watching basketball, he had such passion for the sport and had performances unparallel to his own, made us watch in amazement at a human being outshining us all in a way that had us in awe utter unbelievable fashion. It didn't stop their, he even went beyond it and showed us he had more to show us, and that he did it again and again and again wow wow. That's why we hoped their would be a player to surpass him it hasn't happened til this day and looks like it might take more than hundreds of years til a player may elevate to this level again. In the meantime no one is even close to this, and yet the closes to remains Kobe Bean Bryant. I don't cars how many others have tried and failed at the attempt that definitely includes that one they keep trying to compare Michael Jordan to in Lebron James. He is nowhere in sight of being as great as Michael Jordan. Maybe close to Magic, and Bird but their hearts are bigger than his. Much respect to all the guys that paved a way forcthese modern day clowns that keep this nonsense going.
@@hershelpogue1745 Kobe had the same style of playing like Mike and the mindset toughness Like Mike Jordan got six rings with the same team and Kobe got five rings with the same team these two men carry their teams on their backs but LeBron James he's a ring chaser the only way he got those Rings because he played with other good players he would have never done it with the same team and people have the audacity to compare him to Jordan he will never stoop to that level sorry but it's the truth LeBron James is not Kobe and he's not Jordan,THANK'S COMMENT FROM CHICAGO...
This is the first video I’ve seen about MJ that captures what makes him possibly the greatest in any sport, ever. He was basically seen as god on the court and opposing players were mesmerized by him.
The fact that many great athletes idolized jordan before they became idols themselves, before they even knew basketball was their calling, shows how great he was. People all over the world and in many different countries are very familiar with his jordan brand. The retro bred 11 if you own a pair when you first opened the box there is a card that says the most iconic shoe ever made. That right there lets you know how deep this goes. He is the GOAT and his name and jordan apparel will still be talked about and worn until the end of time.
That last shot as a bull always gets me. Teary eyed and all. That steal from malone and the slow dribble down court and the last shot. I mean..... wow.... for that sequence of those events to happen at that moment was almost predictable but so mind boggling unbelievable. But if all that should happen it would be that greatness...... MJ. Goosebumps...... You can’t even make up a nonfictional story like that because it seemed so unbelievable.
I remember watching that sequence live on TV and it was surreal. I had goosebumps because that ENTIRE sequence summarized his entire career and I knew that would be MJ’s last 30 seconds as a Bull. After that win it just solidified why I believed he was the GOAT.
That was the best! I wish he never laced up after that. It was the only way he should’ve went out. The best to do it on both ends of the floor and that sequence portrayed that perfectly. It was so amazing to watch! I’m glad I was a witness
This is awesome!! Mike was an amazing competitor that inspired so many to just focus and look at the details of the work. If you ever wanted to be great at anything you just have to work and take on any challenge esp against greats. Going up against people who are good in your field with make you stronger. Trash talking is something that is just a distraction. Like some coaches trashed talk to get him to do the opposite instead he stuck with his game planning and no one could mess it up. G.O.A.T
Never self-proclaim, always humble, honors the greats before him, never sit out, never complained, brought out the best in his teammates. Only one 23. Real 🐐 GOAT.
I think all of the players that faced MJ or has heard of him actually fears him, except for one, and thats Kobe, which is why he is THE ONLY player ever closest to be like Mike. RIP Kobe.
Wonderful vídeo, man. Wow! So many wonderful moments from the 80s and 90s, that made my life in those days. The best basketball I've ever seen. R.I.P. Kobe.
Being from Chicago but being born in 97 and my dad showing clips of him and then seeing the league now. MJ and the Bulls changed the culture forever, not just basketball. To me MJ will be the best. Just glad to see all the talent we have now.
I watched and he was amazing but at the same time. I understand upload the league up. They were forcing with rules like illegal defense. The ball in the low post to help one on one star numbers grow.. M. J's best attributes where he was taller than his opponent's in guards while being great in the post and mitt. Have you played during an era where it was illegal to double team without leaving someone open and the floor had to be spread, leaving just one on one in the post unless someone was wide open
I’m glad to say that during my life I’ve seeing Jordan, Tyson, Tiger, Pelé, Anderson Silva, Gretzky and Tom Brady. It’s like the bucket list of all sports.
Same moment too. But shaq is more intelligent than I thought to obviously joke and make fun of himself. He didn't father 10 kids with nine women. Right?
@@joecook5689 Nah, he has children from two different women. Maybe he is a time traveler and was low key roasting Dwight from the past. Dwight has 5 children from 5 wives so far...
Jalen Rose explained it PERFECTLY!! And that team Rose was on, was an elite team. My goodness I loved watching those games but always frightened that the bulls would lose against the pacers. That team was tough in the late 90’s. No plumbers or mailmen! You put the 90’s era in this NBA today.............🥴 Them MF’s had skill, heart, and toughness.
MJ is the basketball God. Jordan walks on air. Jordan was feared by nba opponent players. His ability to do as he wishes in the game was unreal and unstoppable. MJ undoubtedly has made the opposing team fans appreciate, cheer, and applaud his never - been - seen - before skills. Jordan was so unbelievable on the court that not only the nba players wanted to be like MIKE
Wow this was a really good video I made it to the end Michael Jordan is the greatest I’m glad I got to see him play in Chicago against the Lakers in the 90s Michael Jordan is the greatest EVER!!
One reason Jordan is the goat is because he inspired so many all time great players of today and previous generations...Everyone with one of those special type games say they looked up to Mike. That's what greatness is..
Same thing is happening with Kobe. Alot of these dudes looked up to Kobe like Kobe was their Jordan, so you have to put Kobe up there next to Mike honestly globally you can say Kobe went abit higher than Jordan in popularity.
@@hectorpac1470 I don't think Kobe reached Jordan popularity overall but yeah he was close. Kobe was just short of Jordan in everything.. I got Kobe in my top 3 where as alot of people have him top 10 or 15
@@destro1716 You should recheck though, outside of the USA Kobe was an entity bigger than Jordan, listen in the USA Jordan will forever be the goat and I get it in terms of popularity, but when a man of kobes stature brings the Olympics to the USA, being the embassador for the fiba world cup, having 3 statues outside of the USA that tells how much of an impact Kobe had globally specially in popularity. Like the players and people say today Kobe was their Jordan and I always believed that. To me out of my 48 years Jordan and Kobe where two players that were on a league of their own like KD said.
@@hectorpac1470 yeah to me Jordan and Kobe had the best games and they won doing what they did. They didn't chase triple doubles that compromise winning the game in most cases the later in the season and playoffs u get...They did what they had to do which came down to the basics of winning. Score and play defense to stop the opponent from scoring
@@destro1716 As much as media keeps trying to push a battle that they can't with pushing LeBron in that stature as those two they will not succeed, nobody sees LeBron like that.

If you go do some research every player that come to was already good
Michael Jordan for president ✌🏼❤️👍🏼🇵🇷
Omg I love this video as a MJ fan for life. I idolized him and till this day he’s the only athlete whose poster I had on my wall. And I was a girl non athlete lol. He’s my fav athlete EVER.
VD555 me too. His is the only poster I have lol
And that is why MJ loved and respected Kobe. GOAT likes people who don't back down.
Yes to all the Kobe Bryant haters out there if MJ declares Kobe as goat that means he must be the 🐐
It's not bragging if you can back it up.
Muhammad Ali
Kobe had same mindset as Michael. Obviously Kobe was a Kid at the times they were first playing. He seemed to want to push to get the best out of Mike because it would make him better. Alpha vs young Alpha. Play hard, spit your shit even knowing you right now don't have the hardware but I am coming. MJ respected that. That's why they became friends, ultimately why Kobe could lean on MJ not just about basketball but life. The phone always answered and texts got returned because Kobe never changed. His goal was to be the best. He was closest thing to MJ. He was feared and respected.
Barkley, Parish and Kobe.

Kobe Rollie
Tf you mean they are both NBA
No he isn’t! No player is greater than the game
@@realest21310 Well MJ is more NBA than anybodyelse kobe just Learn lot from him to Be a Gooder player like him So its Jordan period
3:54 I'm gonna miss that Kobe confidence. Everyone else spoke about MJ with some level of fear. I'll give Barkley his props too.
Harkins kobe is on another level of confidence
Kobe Bryant confidence is not a delusional type of confidence because he knows that he put work in
Barkley came back and ate them same words after he lost to Mike in the finals…….HIS WORDS: HES INCREDIBLE, UNBELIEVABLE; I CAN NOW SAY SOMEONE IS BETTER THAN ME.
@@swampdrones3903exactly, The Last Dance certainly showcases this.
And the GOAT is the guy whose career had the most profound impact on the game of basketball.
and that's MJ. He is the epitome of greatness!
You nailed it bro!
Hmmmm...I wonder who that could be???
I've a pretty good idea actually!!!

Thanks for posting this! I have never scene an athlete in any sport be admired so my much by his peers!
Awesome video. Amazing to hear all the praise heaped on MJ by some of the best players of all time.
MJ GOAT
The fact that many great athletes idolized jordan before they became idols themselves, before they even knew basketball was their calling, shows how great he was. People all over the world and in many different countries are very familiar with his jordan brand. The retro bred 11 if you own a pair when you first opened the box there is a card that says the most iconic shoe ever made. That right there lets you know how deep this goes. He is the GOAT and his name and jordan apparel will still be talked about and worn until the end of time.
M.J. is truly the G.O.A.T. - there will never be another.
Amazing how legends of the game respect this man
MJ was flawless with no weaknesses. Everyone else is flawed as a player.
Bama Boy Mj is also flawed. No one is perfect.
@@shenyaeturner842 He's talking about his game. Not as a human being. Duh.

Sam, that's absolutely true!
It was like written for a movie
Thanks, dude. As a jazz guy I get fucking teary eyed too.
I remember watching that sequence live on TV and it was surreal. I had goosebumps because that ENTIRE sequence summarized his entire career and I knew that would be MJ’s last 30 seconds as a Bull. After that win it just solidified why I believed he was the GOAT.
I agree man for that type of coincidence is surreal
That was the best! I wish he never laced up after that. It was the only way he should’ve went out. The best to do it on both ends of the floor and that sequence portrayed that perfectly. It was so amazing to watch! I’m glad I was a witness
Love how Wilt Chamberlin viewed and expressed Mike’s value to the league.
i,m still getting chills,i watched all them games in England,it was pure magic, love MJ

Feel sorry for younger basketball generations!
The greatest of all time plain and simple went thru hell and back for his accomplishments there's no argument.
Liked ur comment then unliked it no disrespect at all I noticed it was at 45 lol
Never self-proclaim, always humble, honors the greats before him, never sit out, never complained, brought out the best in his teammates. Only one 23. Real 🐐 GOAT.
21:37. "I wouldn't take Lebron to the movies with me". Scottie Pippen.
I agree with Allen Iverson that Michael Jordan is the greatest player to ever play the game of basketball.

R.I.P. Kobe.
I have been blessed to have lived to see what MJ did, Kobe and many more
Being from Chicago but being born in 97 and my dad showing clips of him and then seeing the league now. MJ and the Bulls changed the culture forever, not just basketball. To me MJ will be the best. Just glad to see all the talent we have now.
23:30 when magic talks about the greatest game ever played in that dream team workout session. Jordan does this incredible dunk
It’s amazing how respected MJ is to these great players
Young people that never watched him play will never know just how great he was.
I can’t wait for this ten part documentary series about MJ in a month or so.
How was it? Did you enjoy the MJ doc?
it's crazy how he used to issues so much fear and respect in players and coaches
Magic's comment about MJ is more than appreciation.
the attitude that kobe had, is the attitude yall should have, im coming at HIM, he aint a god, he bleed like me!
Good luck
Michael welcomed it too.
Michael Jordan is and will be the bar to measure up, perhaps for ever..

The emotion brings to his speech makes me emotional.

MJ motivated an entire generation! And it produced a lot of greats!

You know you’re the greatest when AI is mentioning you in his Hall of Fame speech.
I got Kobe in my top 3 where as alot of people have him top 10 or 15
@@destro1716
You should recheck though, outside of the USA Kobe was an entity bigger than Jordan, listen in the USA Jordan will forever be the goat and I get it in terms of popularity, but when a man of kobes stature brings the Olympics to the USA, being the embassador for the fiba world cup, having 3 statues outside of the USA that tells how much of an impact Kobe had globally specially in popularity.
@@destro1716
