I think that jordan would have beat magic in a one on one game but not beaten him easily but he still would have gotten the victory, because all the things that magic does with his team would have not been able to do one on one .the only thing i could see magic doing mostly is using his weight and his few extra inches when going to the basket is trying to back michael up but jordan would of have to rely on speed quickness and skill point blank but then again they are always trying to make money off of people where as they should get off their ass and challenge somebody one on one beat them and get all the money they want.

sha broussard that’s just objectively false. If Jordan wasn’t a team player of high caliber he wouldn’t have acquired 6 championships. Which is a team accomplishment no doubt. But he also was finals MVP each and every time his team won. I never claimed he won by himself. No one wins by themselves. But some pieces on the chessboard are more valuable than others. And MJ was the main piece. Lakers were not old. If you’re claiming that, what were the Celtics that Lebron left Cleveland for Miami? Or the Pistons, or the Spurs that beat Lebron. Or the Mavs of 2011 that beat Lebron. Gimme a break. It was simply The Bulls’ time as they rose to prominence by defeating the last 2 defending champions in the bad boys and the Lakers. And by the time of MJ three peating a second time, his Bulls teams were ‘old’
@sha broussard Jordan a ball hog. Maybe for his first 3 years in the league but outside of that your argument doesnt stick. Once he had competent players around him Jordan more than got everyone involved which was why they started winning...and never stopped.
Your looking at the wrong reasons why fear would have given him anxiety, it was a business choice at this point. Regardless, fear was a factor. Fear is natural, props too him for fearing the outcome of losing to magic.
I was a Bird/Celtics fan. Haven’t really watched much since he left the league. With that said, there’s no way in hell I’d want to watch him 1 on 1 vs. MJ. That would get ugly real fast.
c b In 86, with Bird’s quick step and fade-away abilities, it would have been a bit more even, even if Jordan won. In 90, with Bird’s back, it would have been ugly
This is so interesting!!! This tells me a lot why MJ had Isiah not on the dream team, why Jordan retired and played baseball, maybe why Jordan’s dad was killed... Jordan was bigger than the nba.
Even Wilt Chamberlain said that everyone in the NBA should thank MJ for popularizing the league and each player should give a portion of their checks to him.
With money on the line it mean that Vegas and the Mob wanting in on it... The deck would have been MJ heavy at the sportsbook... It's more likely they asked him to lose and he said you know what, go f*ck yourself! Then they responded... Then he retired out of retaliation...
There is michael jordan and then theres everyone else, yes michael is on a whole different level.and its very funny how they pit people against one another first it was magic vs larry bird and then it was magic vs jordan and at one time it was michael jordan as the new sheriff of the nba.then it was kobe vs jordan, labron vs kobe or lebron vs jordan i mean good god damn wtf.
Michael would’ve won. Not really because of his “quickness”, but because their roles were different. Michael was the scorer on his team, while Magic was the guy to get the rest of the team involved. True enough Magic would score when he needed to but how many 40+, 50+ & 60+ games did Magic ever put up? Scoring wasn’t his job.
Magic was a prolific scorer for his entire life until he was advised to scale back his scoring for the team's sake. Magic could have easily been an NBA elite scorer had he chosen that path, as would Larry Bird.
@Kwame Kevin Young If you read my comment correctly, you’d see that I said Magic COULD score. An example of that would be the 1992 All-Star game where Magic hit 3-Three pointers to end the game. However, Magic was not a VOLUME scorer. Even in the game where the Lakers lost Kareem due to an injury, Magic played ALL positions and only put up 42 points in 1980. Maybe that was all the team needed to win but his CAREER high was only 46 against the Kings. Michael has scored over 40, 50 & 60 MULTIPLE times. Then there are the stories that other NBA players (including Magic) tell about Michael whenever he’s been challeneged. It seems Michael steps up to the challenge in a major way.
@@kalon511 For sure, Magic's strength relies on his teammates. MJ, on the other hand, can single-handedly win the game. So it's common sense, who's the better 1on1 player.
It's amazing how and why NBA players aren't allowed to play 1vs1 games during the Allstar weekend or during the offseason on PPV... Matching LeBron, Durant, Giannis, Luka against each other or matching Curry, Lillard, Trae Young and Kyrie against each other would be EPIC basketball. King Of The Court should be done.
The majority of superstars wouldn't go for it nowadays. In the last 12/15 years how many superstars (and by superstars I mean future HOF) has even the Slam Dunk contest got? Only Dwight Howard and rookie Blake Griffin. Firmed superstars face the All Star weekend as a festivity and a resting period. That's also the reason why the All Star game is what it is. I understand we the fans would love to get such a treat but if you take the superstar's perspective is blatant how little that counts compared to finishing the regular season strong and being prepared to the play offs.
magic's playmaking ability was something else. 5 magics might even take a game or 2 vs 5 mikes in a 7 game series.but not in a multiverse of thousands of games would magic beat mike 1 on 1. not even once.
From buisness and money perspective, the NBA all had to do was prop up the game as much as possible and set up pre game results; first game Magic would win by two points, then a rematch, where MJ would win by two points (both players of course knowing the outcome) and then leave it open without ever playing 3rd match, that way would be a win win situation for everyone without anyone losing or looking bad.
Your proposal is not the truth and any distortion or Manipulation deviating away from them really giving there best to beat each other and win the one one one competition is a fraud by definition. This proposal was in the time of my generation and the public was expecting this event to happen, but it never did happen. Most people believed Michael Jordan would win because Michael Jordan basketball skills was many levels above the next best player of his generation in my opinion based on my observation of him playing the game. One last thing. I remember going to Madison Ave in Chicago to go see Michael Jordan play basketball in the year of 1986 and seeing him play in person was nothing like watching him on TV because in person you really could see the cat like quickness/reflexes and the leaping ability toppled with the ability to stop on a dime and immediately change directions was amazing to see. Michael Jordan was and still is the greatest basketball player to ever play the game. Now I believe someday there will come a time when some little black boy will emerge from some black neighborhood and dazzle the world again with basketball magic and when you see him you will know him because his skills shall be Bruce Lee like exceptional skills on the basketball court. In 1987 I contend Jordan was robbed of the reg season MVP and DPOY award. Jordan was already the GOAT on defense and offense even then. He just didn't have a mature veteran team that was mentally tough yet. In a one on one match up at the time. There's no way prime air jordan loses to Magic who played no defense. It's a game, somebody has to lose.
Scared ? Mj will eventualy defeat him easily the reason why Mj doesnt want continiue the match because instead of playing basketball it turn out a business match !!!
Paul Cotton he is overrated. Most missed shots in nba history. 7-28 in clutch situations. He’s an all time great. But he’s not in any real goat debate. He’s not the best SG ever that’s Mike. He’s just outside the top 10. And that’s not shame at all. In the history of the league to be the 12th greatest player ever is incredible. He was incredible. Rip mamba. Feels surreal like we lost a family member. 😭
@@PaulCotton prime stockton? You clearly never watched basketball.. Stockton was good but he was never a top 5 player in the league in his whole career
The only human being who could have had a chance to beat MJ in a 1-on-1 match was Kobe Bryant, by Jordan's himself admission. Magic was the best point guard who's ever walked on a basketball court, but Jordan was a much better all-around player and was quick as f**k, plus he was literally a scoring machine. Magic himself acknowledged that MJ would have won, so there's no point in this discussion.
@@jplacubtan995 Kobe could beat MJ. If they played ten times, and both were in their prime, I think MJ would win more games. But to say Kobe couldn’t beat MJ in one game would be false.
MJ verus Kobe both in their prime would have been the greatest one on one match up ever. I would have paid to see that over any sports event in history! Personally, I think Michael would have won because of his athletic advantages and extremely quick thinking but it would have been blood, sweat and tears.

A lot of people hated mike and still do he was talked about Sunday when it was supposed to be about Kobe even Scottie talked about him I love who he is was and will always be the best at everything he did it says a lot about what kind of people we have become don't hate appreciate
I grew up in the Jordan era I watched magic in his prime on tapes with that being said it would have been 50 50 Jordan at that time still wasn't as good as he was in the 90s when he came out of retirement and got established so it would have been a great match magic is always humble when he talks about Jordan but don't let his smile fool you he was a problem
This is so good man. Isaiah been a hater, still a hater of Jordan. MJ23 would have won not because he's faster but because he has a better jumpshot. From my experience playing bigger guys, my speed caused them an issue BUT THE REASON I EITHER WON OR LOST was if my jumper was silk that day I win... if jumper was like John Starks 2 for 19 :) I always lost no matter how fast. It's about handles and a killer jump shot
It doesn't matter in my opinion who would won the game.. They are both awesome players but what ever wrong I may see in Michael Jordan can't change my mind that he is the best ever play the game and the best athlete and the symbol of basketball!!!
Basketball game is a team sport...twas not design for one-on-one or between 2 B'ball players. It is officially played by two opposite team with a team... I think this was the concept of Mr. J. Naismith and until now the concept still a team sport.
How was I watching this this morning.....I don’t watch basketball but this video popped up in my feeder and I thought, why not, and hit play.....I had a migraine so few hours after watching this video, I took some meds and took a nap....I woke up hours later and found out Kobe Bryant passed on....smh....I’m freaking out.....I always get weird signs before getting bad news....again I don’t watch basketball....I watched this video then another basketball player dies....SIP KOBE.
I can only spot four players that would almost surely beat MJ on a 1 on 1 would be prime Wilt and Kareem (on their prime) and nowadays AD and Giannis. From this lot the guy that would almost certainly win is Wilt based on is height advantage, out of the charts athleticism, being almost unstoppable in the post and having unusual quickness for a guy that size on defense. Barkley, Kobe, Lebron, Durant and even a pre-back injury Bird would also be neck to necks. As for Magic I also think he would lose to MJ based on presenting a merely good defense to one of the the best offensive players ever (don't get me wrong... Magic is my favorite player ever). But of course that's all speculation. BTW RIP Kobe.

I get not wanting to damage your image or whatever by losing but what's the difference in losing 1 on 1 and going 7 for 29, scoring 16 points and losing a team game?? It's a game, somebody has to lose.
Love your vids
The side pic of Jordan in the thumbnail look like thanos
😁😁
I believe that Jordan would have won.
Scared ? Mj will eventualy defeat him easily the reason why Mj doesnt want continiue the match because instead of playing basketball it turn out a business match !!!
still my favorite channel
Kobe vs. Lebron!
Stockton was good but he was never a top 5 player in the league in his whole career
can you tell me what video editor you use on the black and white book like part
Wow..what could have been..Lebron vs. Kobe..interesting...another great video! Please do a story on Dr. J..Julius Erving!
3pt shot from Kobe and it's a wrap.
Lol, i love kobe but comon that was mjs joke. Kobe cant be mj. Rip mamba
@@jplacubtan995 Kobe could beat MJ. If they played ten times, and both were in their prime, I think MJ would win more games. But to say Kobe couldn’t beat MJ in one game would be false.
I remember this!! I was so disappointed when it didn't happen!!!
Gotta say wow thanks and the soundtrack was neat
Jordan vs. Worthy one on one woulda been the real matchup to see
MJ verus Kobe both in their prime would have been the greatest one on one match up ever. I would have paid to see that over any sports event in history! Personally, I think Michael would have won because of his athletic advantages and extremely quick thinking but it would have been blood, sweat and tears.
Jordan hands down 🐐
Rip Kobe Bryant
Oh, how i wish it was lebron. Shouldn't have been kobe who passed away.. lol
@@misterlibra1675 what is wrong with you there are people who hate kobe but they still are sad but there are lebron haters who won't give a shit about him dieing
A legend is a legend
Dont wish anyone death
May I ask what are the tags in the description for?
I remember this I was 14 and I had my lunch money on Magic!
U would’ve lost
Thats insane 😂 magic isn't even a 1v1 player mj was the best 1v1 player in the league

A lot of people hated mike and still do he was talked about Sunday when it was supposed to be about Kobe even Scottie talked about him I love who he is was and will always be the best at everything he did it says a lot about what kind of people we have become don't hate appreciate
so this would explain(if its true) why Jordan kept I.T out of the dream team, because I.T pulled it on him first for the ALL Star game.
MJ > MJ 💯
michael had that reverse lebron james fade 🤣🤣🤣
🙋🏿♀️heeey nba insider🏀
So what's your point? Michael's the GOAT Isaiah was kissing men on the court ask anyone.
Man, one-on-one games would have been GREAT!!!
Half court 1 v 1, Jordans quickness vs Magics size, strength and BB IQ ??? Magic has played all positions 1-5, leaning towards MJ in a close one.
It wouldn't even be close.. but it would've been cool to see I think!!! That's it!!! 🏀🤨
Bro, I don't think this video has enough adds. Please add more.
During the Olympic Game they did play against each other during practice. And Michael won.

I sincerely hope you win a serious award for these one day your work is to amazing hats off to you bro 💯🙏🏻🖤🔥
Time to look up the Kareem Julius match on RUclips...
