Tell me, why would he leave the NBA for minor league baseball if he had money troubles?
@@interestedparty497 I can tell you why. The whole baseball deal was a total scam, a fabrication, I remember him being interviewed and saying it was always his and his fathers dream to be a baseball player that's why he was retiring ...…(Total BS). It was a red herring! Jordan was dirty , dirty of gambling on NBA games of which he was a part of. "The NBA was coming down on him", he needed an out, and he was well advised to take this route, buy some time, and let his people grease the proper wheels and defer! Jordan had money, still does. But its not about that , Its all about gambling on games, that you are a part of and, "THE INTEGERTY OF THE GAME". Don't believe me? Just ask Pete Rose, Baseballs "ALL TIME HITS LEADER" was kicked out , banned from baseball for life, for gambling on games of which he was a part of. Jordan and his people knew that, they learned. Jordan is no choir boy.
@@metroblac8315 one too many Mike Korzemba's video for you. 😂
Very well done, and eye-opening. I'm not much of an NBA fan these days but I remember watching a lot of the classic rivalries of the late 80's and early 90's with my dad. I love that Shaq credits Michael with helping him get to his next level. It's a great story.
Michael Blocked Shaq in his forst NBA game. That one hell of a welcome to the NBA moment
@@gamexsimmonds3581 ya... Too bad Jordan ran like a bich @ 0:12
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Stopped watchin NBA also but back in the days, ( given time zones) we were up all nights watching NBA games. My dad obviously loving mj ( rightfully a centennial Talent never to be compared) and I being ( up to day ) a Shaq admirer. These were the days....
Not sure it was the suttle rivalry between the two, but I like your take/aproach on Shaq going to LA. But I always loved Shaqs honesty in giving due credit.... What a guy 🥰
Yes very interesting rivalry! By the way, the videos on the playlist on my channel might interest some people!
Gotta give Rodman a lot of the credit. He made Shaq work in that '96 series.
Rodman made everybody work.
FACTS
Thank You. People forget that Rodman was there the second year to hold Shaq.
Rodman was one of the few people that could actually guard big shitty
That was shaq weakness if he had one Ben Wallace mad him work hard to in that L.A. /Detroit championship
It seem like it was yesterday I was watching all this; where did the years go? To all the 20-somethings out there, dont take this time for granted, because in a blink of an eye it'll be over!
True I'm 36. I loved watching magic when it was Shaq and Penny. Haven't been as interested in basketball since. I'm from Tampa area so we don't even have a team
@@lantech7709 But yall are the defending reigning Superbowl and NHL champions! CONGRATULATIONS! I'm from Baltimore, waiting for my Ravens to make a Superbowl run, my Orioles are in a rebuild! 😫
@@patrickcalvin5272yeah its definitely good time to be a tampa sports fan. I am from st pete and still live there where the Rays stadium is. Lightning won twice in a row. Bucs won the superbowl. Rays made the world series but think it was the Dodgers time and Snell got taking out too early. RAYS Look good again so far this year also battling with the Red Sox for the division.
@@lantech7709 True! The Rays are serious contenders indeed!
Meh, this world sucks no matter what you do
All lies, deception, an bullchit
And it's only going to get worse
The good Ole days when Basketball was physical and the refs didn't pamper that whistle. I remember being in elementary school when Shaq joined the league. He definitely made his mark.
Actually Jordan wasn’t in his prime since he came back from two year retirement but was still world's best player. And thanks for always making great videos. Thanks.
@Joshua Haynes that is true
@Sylvanius Ross Jordan retired 3 different times 93,98,and 03. Jordan was still better than everyone in the league in 95 but he was no longer in his prime at 32.
Yes Jordan was in his prime. That was 93 the yr he first retired. Best offensive and Defensive player in the league won 3 straight Championships.
In 93 Jordan was in his prime but after baseball in 95 he was no longer. He was not as athletic.
@@troyhaskins3863 What I meant was right after he came back. He wasn't in his prime then, after that season he did.
“In 90s basketball, Jordan always gets the last laugh” 🤣
@@nightwatch5843 As soon as he retired, Shaq won 4 rings, shows how much strong your stupid league is.
There is almost no difference in today's league and the 90's/80's, you have to be pretty dull to believe there is.
@@nightwatch5843 Shaq was playing since 92, a rookie? Ignorant.
Everybody loves MJ because he was not playing in a weak era, also his team was a juggernaut because of him. The warriors are just a regular team without Durant and they only had Durant for 2 years. So stfu and get some basketball culture, go watch 90's games before talking bullshit.
@@nightwatch5843 1992 DreamTeam brings back gold to the USA, your generation brings back Bronze, stfu.
@@nightwatch5843 So you are talking about GSW = Regular Season Kings? They choke in big moments and without KD carrying them in the finals they will choke there everytime what is the big surprise?
Also they beat the record, they went 73-9. they just cant win in big moments.
The Bulls have 2 3 peats, that is dominance. Who cares if you win 82-0 if you dont win the finals? Nobody.
@@nightwatch5843 Dude Bill Russel is the goat of idiots, how many FMVPs does he have? He had a superteam, check players stats after they left Chicago, you are an idiot, plain and simple.
Wilt was a better player than Russel, Russel just had better players around him, MJ is better than both.
Both played in an era with more than double the possessions, perfect to pad stats and only 8 teams in the league. Still Russel does not have better stats than MJ, Wilt does, again more than double the possessions.
Thats why nobody considers them even top3 of all time, you dont have culture or knowledge to judge basketball players.
Nobody could come close to Michael.
Charles Barkley gave him two good fights though and respect to him for that. I enjoyed the Bulls vs Suns finals.
It was great growing up in the 90's and watching these two. Still have an old Rookie of the year figurine of Shaq when he was on the Magic.
Lets take note that RODMAN was instrumental to stopping shaqin the series, not only Jordan.
but the bull would not win w/o Jordan.... they would with rodman.. how I know? bcuz rodman wasn't with the bulls for all 6 championship
@@jovonyoung1615 In the first three championships they were playing completely different teams than the last three. Without Rodman the final 3peat would not have happened. Rodman was robbed of a finals MVP without a doubt.
Ilogho Simon Rodman ain’t near 7 Ft and was actually containing Shaq. By containing I mean not allowing him to go off, bc regardless he was getting his own. Hate how people now a days love to overhype these retired played. Don’t get wrong Jordan and Shaq and one of a kind. But to say that players from today wouldn’t even challenge them is a joke.
Rodman didnt even play for the bulls in 93
Yes sir. Didn’t Jordan acknowledge “were one Dennis Rodman away” from beating them?
