Just purchased!!! Thanks again Jimmy for creating great products! I can’t wait to dig in and test it out.
great. I hope you enjoy it.
purchased it! loved raya pro and i think this will work even easier! :)
Great tool! Thank you for creating it
I am a big fan Jimmy! just ordered Lumi32. Can't wait to use it in my workflow. Install was super easy with the installer!! Now my only problem, I never seem to take enough photos in the summer time to last me through winter! Living close to 4 World class Parks (Banff NP, Jasper NP, Waterton NP, and Glacier NP in Montana,US) you would think I wouldn't have that problem! :/ Cold and snowy here in Southern Alberta, Canada. we have snow fall warning for today with 30-50cm to come down by tomorrow! Thanks again Jimmy for your hard work in making these programs for us and sharing your knowledge of masks and Photography! Cheers, Mark
Sounds cold but lovely. I hope the snowfall isn't too bad!
Wow Jimmy, that looks like a great tool.
very impressive
Due to Adobe's game playing earlier this summer, I joined a large number of people who canceled their Photoshop/Lightroom subscription and moved to Affinity Photo. Affinity Photo reached the point at about the same time that I consider it truly ready as an alternative platform for retouching (I currently do landscape, portrait and food photography). This meant giving up on Raya Pro usage. Affinity has blend ranges that give you Photoshop type blend-if control but with curves adjustments instead of sliders. This has proven very effective at doing fairly sophisticated layer blending. I can also use Luminosity Masks in Affinity Photo, but they are not quite as easy to generate as in Photoshop.
I am very impress with what you are demonstrating here. From you description, Lumi32 is a plugin as well as a Photoshop panel. Affinity Photo does allow you to run Photoshop plugins but not the panels. I am curious what running the plugin alone would do? Would this be practical by itself?
Hi there,
I'm afraid it isn't possible to turn this into a standalone program at the moment, but that is something we are looking at in the future.
@@JimmyMcIntyre I would be very interested in that! Thank you for the wonderful work and great training.
Working outside photoshop......does this mean the appclication works directly with the RAW file? Wich explains why so much detail is preserved? Just like the RAW converter? Are there any futher plans to do this with color aswel, so I mean the same colors RAW converter works with? Thank you in advance.
i love it, is it possible in the future to add reverse selection?
That could be possible. Could you be more specific. What do you mean by reverse selection, exactly?
@@JimmyMcIntyrefor example i select brights 1 but when i apply i will like to aply inversed the mask, maybe (shift click) or so.
@@SebastianMerca You can do that by pressing ctrl+I and inverting the mask in Photoshop before you apply it :)
Purchased... looks great! Are there written directions or just videos?
Hi there,
Just video instructions at the moment.
Thanks
@@JimmyMcIntyre Thanks so much. Experimenting now and learning by goofing lol.
Jimmy is this part of the Raya Pro 4 package? I don't see it in my set? I assume there is a new update...
Hi there,
Lumi32 is not a free upgrade as it is a separate piece of software.
i somehow don't get it. everytime im hitting the apply button everything down turns into blue and i cannot use the options like H/s,Curves and so on anymore. why is that? only when i pushed again one of the preset buttons lumi will let me go on. How do i apply the created new mask and how to merge into a new pic?
Could you please record your screen while the problem is happening and email me the video at helpshutterevolve@gmail.com
i am realy courious how it will improve my workflow once i have this tool.
But how can the masks be 32bit when the source is only 16 or just 8 bit? Interpolation?
I am looking forward to friday…
Hi there,
Here is an article explaining the principles behind 32 bit masks. And Lumi32 is available now :) fixelalgorithms.co/news/2018/11/luminosity-mask-002/index.html
@@JimmyMcIntyre thank you I will work through that article at weekend...
What about Affinity Photo, is it possible to make something like these plugins for Affinity ? There is a lot of people who jumps out of that "subscription wagon" I'm actually would buy this software if it there for Affinity. Sorry for my bad English.
At the moment, Affinity doesn't allow panels like this. If it did, I promise I would be the first to make one.
Is this different from Raya Pro? If I purchase this do I still need RayaPro?
Hi there,
Please visit the Lumi32 page and scroll down to the FAQ. The last question answers this for you: www.shutterevolve.com/lumi32-powerful-32-bit-luminosity-mask-plugin/
