Really great instructional video Jimmy, great tip with the frequency separation fix too...
Not many upsides to this quarantine thing, but getting a detailed tutorial like that from you is certainly one of them! Thx for taking the time to do that. I need to use that frequency separation technique more often. IM and RP are key tools in my arsenal. I’m glad you’re staying home and safe. 🥂
My man Jimmy!!! Always a good day when we get a video.
Absolutely beautiful work! I finally got the time to watch your photography course that I bought almost 2 years ago!
Thank you Jimmy, I learned a lot on this one. Great job making a beautiful image into a really super image.

You are love jimmy.
Nice edit Jimmy, keep safe all the best!
Thank you loved the editing.
At time 4 to 5 min you talk about halos in the distant ridges on the left. There is a sensor dust spot on the upper right which also has a halo, so there is some contrast processing on the raw file I suppose.
Hi jimmy. Great to see this series back and this was a very helpful video especially for when some subjects move in the image like a tree. I have one recurring issue however in photoshop and it’s not necessarily connected to raya pro but when I select my mask and go to paint in the sky, the brush still slightly paints in the bottom exposure which is not part of the mask? So when I paint over areas which are not selected the brush still brings in some of the top layer which I don’t want. Any suggestions here?
Hi there,
This is because the mask is not contrasting enough. Try creating a really contrasting mask, completely black and white. Then try brushing. If it stays within the mask, you'll know you need more contrast masks.
Hey Jimmy. Another great video. What stop amount do you use for your bracketing shots?
Will appreciate if you can do a tutorial on night cityscape and how to blend Bill board light which change
Hey Jimmy lob we the video nice having you back. Once question why do you use dodge and burn destructively, why the preference?
Hi. I just prefer the final result. That's all really :)
Hi Jimmy, nice video, love your tutorials as always! In this tutorial, you start with 4 different exposures and adjust them one by one. In the real world, what if I only took one exposure? Can I use ACR to make extra three different exposures and then follow work flow? Or, I have to remember to use bracketing with different exposures whenever I want to use your RAYA PRO for post editing? Thank you!

Hey Jimmy, thx for the great video, very helpful! I got one question regarding Raya Pro, is it compatible with Photoshop 2020?
Hi, Yes Raya Pro is fully compatible with 2020. Raya Pro works in CS6, 2018, 2019, 2020, & 2021
Hi Jimmy, a question, why did you do the first dodge(to the ground) on the stamped layer, and do the second dodge(to the sky) on a new layer with soft light mode?
what is the difference of these two different types of dodge technique?
As always mate fabulous and I really love how you teach us how to do things without the panel. I am using photoshop 2015 would raya pro work for me if u purchase it? Also how to install it on a mac? Thanks Jimmy.
Thanks Gavin. Yeah, it should work without any problems. The installation instructions for a Mac are included in the download.
@@JimmyMcIntyre that's fantastic I purchase it later on. Thanks ever so much
Hey,one question, why didn't use you lights from lightest exposure instead of dodging?
how can I get the novel Mr jimmy ?
Can you do this in Lumionar 4?
Is the challenge still valid? Would love to see yoy proces 580nm infrared
It’s knowing what tool to use when that drives me nuts.
That comes with practice Ian. There isn't anything in photography that is one-stop formula for success. Every scene is different. Every workflow is unique. That's something I love about post processing.
Lol, are you using a trackpad?
Annoying, isn't it? My tablet broke!!!
@@JimmyMcIntyre i have had a Wacom tablet for years and never used. are there any good vids about using it the way you do?
