Stumbled over your channel yesterday and have to say that you have already changed so much of my thoughts, ambitions and approach to post processing. Exposure blending is a revelation to me and has allowed me to already clean up so many of my images - no more HDR thank-you!! Better still though triple processing has given me a way to go over my massively underexposed back catalogue and reveal some great images I never thought I could cleanly process. Thank-you, this is a step change in my abilities as a photographer!

Thank you very much Jimmy for all that information and time you spend to teach us. I like it, that you not only advertise your Raya Pro panel. You always showing us a way to do it without. That's really awsome!

+Gion-Andri Derungs Thank you. I'm trying to find a balance between helping both Raya Pro users and non-Raya Pro users equally. Most of the subscribers to this channel started following my tutorials before I created Raya Pro so I want them to benefit from every tutorial as much as possible without the plugin :)

+Jimmy McIntyre Thank you Jimmy. I can fully agree to Gabriel. That's really noble! I see the advantage of Gaya Pro and I'll get it in the future, but first I try to understand how it all works. :)

+Jimmy McIntyre - apart from the benefit to non - Raya users I find the 'manual' method helps me understand and direct my use of Raya Pro better - thanks for all your efforts.

Great video Jimmy and I'm in total agreement. I've not used any HDR software since I stumbled upon one of your videos and bought Raya Pro. By the way, my American girlfriend loves your voice. She finds it extremely relaxing. Ever since I've been with her she's grown to love the Geordie accent but she particularly likes yours; especially when you say the word "mask". In fact when I'm watching your videos, she now refers to you as Jimmy Maskintyre.

Thanks for the great tutorial. Love the pace and detailed explanations. Quick question, rather than using Adobe Camera Raw can I bring the files over from Lightroom? I primarily use Lightroom and haven't dabbled at all in Adobe Camera Raw.
    Thanks,

A very interesting video and it helps a lot :) Jimmy..i have just a question, this technique replaces the HDR technique all the time? After watching your tutorials I wonder if the HDR is just to give more tone and clarity to the images because always i did hdr it was because i always had the sky burned and foreground well exposed but it's not always practical for me, when the clouds move very fast i have some bad ghosts after

Hey Jimmy Great video !! i got a question, when im doing a mask to put my sky darker, it seems that the mask is not dark enough, the black part of the mask is more a soft grey ? any ides on how to fix it ?
    Thx
    Gab :)

  • @Janhuesing

well unfortunately this doesn't work at me.
After applying the exposures the picture looses much of its sharpness and seems to by hazy.
Do you have any idea what this can be?
Still thank you for the great tutorial! I'd whish it worked with my pictures!

Thanks Jimmy. I am a Raya Pro user and I love it. Do you think ACR is a better raw processor than Lightroom? I haven't used ACR much at all, but I seem to get everything done with LR that you are doing with ACR. What is your opinion on LR in a workflow?

    • @JimmyMcIntyre
      @JimmyMcIntyre  8 лет назад

+Brian Cox Hi there, thanks for the comment. ACR and LR are identical in most ways when it comes to RAW processing. But LR has the added cataloging benefit and better import/export functions. If I were you, I would stick with LR. I hope that helps.
