    Great video Jimmy, much better to see the person who is doing the video. I had trouble getting my head around luminosity masks before as i was selecting the mask then running the actions and I wasn't able to "paint" the details where i wanted them as it was applying the full mask but this video has explained where i was going wrong. Just to put this in context...I done a HDR of a shot in Chicago a couple of years ago and then redone it after you uploaded this using luminosity masks and there was a world of difference between them - the HDR now looks complete rubbish but the luminosity one looks much better.......And that got into explore on Flickr!! Cheers Jimmy!

    Love your tutorials, Jimmy! I mainly use the 32-bit HDR method in PS, and fine tune the TIFF file with luminosity masks. For me, I usually have the best success with that, since I take brackets of seven images. I need to upgrade from CS6, so I can get your Raya Pro panel!

    • @JimmyMcIntyre
      @JimmyMcIntyre  8 лет назад

      Thanks for the comment. 32 bit is a decent way to go. It doesn't give us perfect control over the exposure blending process, and isn't idea for more complex scenes, but it is significantly better than most tone mapping options out there

    Hey Jimmy, ty for all these tutorials. They have completely changed the quality of my edits. Exposure bracketing/blending is 99% of what I need to do when editing photos, since I mainly do landscapes and astroscapes. I have purchased your Rayo Pro software, but am still learning it. I'm just curious as to what wide-angle lens you use. I have the Tamron 10-24mm G2 on my D500, which has been great for me, but I'm just wondering if upgrading to an FX system would have a significant improvement to my results. Do you have any experience with the difference between using DX vs FX glass? Was their a noticeable difference in your prints (I do medium-large prints....40x60 or 60x90cm). The upgrade to an FX system would likely be several thousand dollars, so I was just curious as to what your thoughts were.
