Replacing 2 kitchen sink basket strainers 💦

Replacing 2 kitchen sink strainers. Customer had a leak under her kitchen sink on one of the basket strainers. I am replacing both along with the tubular waste drain piping underneath #plumbing #plumber #diy #asmr

Always fill both basins of a kitchen sink to within one inch of the over flow drain & then release both. It's called a "HEAD PRESSURE TEST"!

I prefer the cup style strainers myself but these stay nice and tight to the sink. I needed them to so the trap arm had enough fall

Being able to simply unthread those old basket strainer nuts is a rare occurrence lol I can just imagine the DIYers watching this video and going “I don’t need to hire someone to do that.” 😂 their impatient screams make me sleep soundly knowing that I’ll have work in the morning 😂

Yes! My in-laws asked me to replace their basket strainer, and I had to use an oscillating tool to get those lock nuts off. 🙃 😂😂
