This is the latest instalment of my workbench build, probably the least exciting part of the build but it needed to be done. If I'd left the underneath of the workbench open I think it would have become a dumping zone and would be in a mess in no time. The workbench storage cabinet will certainly be useful and at the same time has added a fair amount of extra weight - I'm really quite surprised at how much heavier the bench is now and I haven't put anything in the drawers yet.
I'm excited for the next component of the build, a leg vice but that may have to wait for a couple of weeks until I get hold of a scaffold screw jack. I also have a couple of different ideas I need to think through for the leg vice too.
I hope you enjoy the video and as always I'm happy to answer any questions.
I use my box joint jig in this video to make the drawers - it was made from John Heisz's plans. For anyone that is interested here is a link • How To Make The Ultima...

I bought this for my friend for his birthday as we just moved into a new house and he finally has room for a workshop. The bench was very easy to set up ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh They center support is a little difficult to snap in and out of place at first but at least then we know the bench is secure. It was a pleasant surprise when we saw it came with clamps. I apparently missed that in the description. My friend loves the versatility of the bench. Great starter bench for his workshop and easily transportable all over our property. I wish the bench was a little taller but the other features of the bench more than make up for that.
The author does like to from scratch, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.
Wow! Tolerances on those drawer fronts was superb!
Your creations inspired me to bust out my table saw and do some woodworking. I built a couple of trays for my friend's soap-making business. Your clear explanations helped so much and I actually learned how to cut a rabbet joint from your videos. Thank you for making such awesome content.
Love the drawer handles. Elegant and inexpensive.
DANG! Super-nice drawers! That Camphor Laurel is beautiful... the grain looks like fudge ripple ice cream. Well done! 👍🏼👍🏼
That is beautiful! I loved the wood you used on the front of the drawers.
Awesome workbench! simple, elegant and functional!!
Thanks mate, very inspiring work. I just love the way you are able to make things from recycled bits and pieces, a refreshing and idea provoking video - thanks again.
Thank you very much Peter! :)
A Beautiful addition to your new workbench & love the Angle Iron Drawer Handles!

Thanks very much! :)
The grain on the drawers is beautiful. Nice work
Love your work, Pask. Really nice details and technique, good creativity in the videography too! Glad to be an early subscriber. All the best to you from Arizona (USA).
Thank you very much! :)
Thanks for enjoying me, by watching this amazing work
WOW, it’s looking great. And the finish on those rusted angle iron handles really surprised me. Thanks for sharing.
Beautifully made! Congratulations!!!
I love your use of hot-melt glue for fixing the drawer fronts temporarily, I will remember that one next time I'm fitting door fronts! :-)
Thanks for sharing!
Even easier is double-sided carpet tape. (cloth type) Just leave it in there, no need to remove it. It's surprisingly strong as long as it's not humid. A few nails, some glue and that's it.
Wow, that was impressive! Love your attention to detail. Turned out perfect.
Thank you! :)
Hot glue to temporarily locate the drawer fronts. What s great idea!
Awesome! Great outcome for the bench, and thanks for taking the time to produce a well edited video - I could watch this all day! Subscribed. Keep it up!

I am loving your videos Neil! This workbench series is fantastic. I do wish I had the skill to do your tail vise because it looks like a perfect option for a small space without something massive hanging off the bench. I look forward to your leg vise build. Thank you!
Thanks Scott! You could always buy the HNT Gordon vice, not cheap but looks beautiful. :)

10 days ago you had 5000 subs... now 15.000! Way to go!!!! Great video and build once more!
Thanks Nikos! I can't believe how fast things are moving along - I'm blown away! It wasn't that long ago Was getting 40 or so views per video and thinking is this worth continuing with. Your figures aren't correct though it took around 10 days to go from 10,000 to 15,000 subs. :)
I wish you to hit 500,000 subs or even more!

Hi Stefan, Life got in the way. There are more on the way (literally uploading right now). Pask is one of the channels that unwittingly motivated me to get back out in the shop.
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
Friggin sweet man. Friggin sweet.
That impresses me. Good job
Thank you!
Bravo!
Great bench. Downloaded the plans. I'm adding locking casters to mine.
I need to make mine mobile as well, but it is most stable sitting on the legs for hand tool work. I have seen several ideas for casters that are mounted to a board and hinged to the lower cross brace. Flip it under makes it mobile, flip it out and it's on it's legs again.
Thank you John!
Yes, that would be a better option. Something I considered but as I only want to move my bench within a small area I've decided to just drag it around. I'm surprised just how heavy the bench is getting with the added weight of the storage so I may make a couple of skids.
very nice, good job
Thanks Franco!
