1 Month in 10 Minutes! This Skillful Man Build a Workbench With 20 Functions

- People who work in their workshop and do DIY works definitely need a workbench. That's why in this video we showed you how to make a workbench. This workbench we have made has more functions than you have ever seen before, this workbench that you can do with simple tools in your own garage has 20 different functions. You can watch how to make a simple, functional, solid, easy-to-build workbench with drawers in this video called how to make a workbench, the most functional workbench.
Great build. No overkill, very functional. Also a nice, focused tool collection. Just the essential stuff. Love how it all fits in the bench rather than being scattered the entire workshop. Good job!
the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.
omg! thank you for not putting a musical soundtrack on your video! The noise of DIY is music perfectly suited to your images as precise and professional as your work😊
Made it great by keeping it simple. Which appeals to the rest of us DIY guys. Well done Sir, best from the UK.
Wow this is the best workbench I have ever seen anyone make. You truly are a skillful man. 👏 👏 👏
you like wood working ?
@@zainsheikh2707 I love it. If you are being serious. It's truly such an artistic yet skillful talent. I wish I could be an apprentice to one of these magicians 😄
I have to admit, I've seen a hundred work bench designs, but this one is clearly the best. Bravo! You achieved something remarkable and shared it freely. I will be taking many of your clever ideas away. Many thanks
I agree.
What will you then build with the tools that cost you thousands and your new workbench? A few saw sleds, perhaps, some router jigs, cupboards to house your tools and then there are screws, nails, bolts, etc to house. All these channels are similar, never making anything that comes even close to justifying the money, space and time expended, or rather wasted. Always it's much better in every way to buy things than to build them.
@@markcynic808 Partially true, although building it is a personal pleasure, gives sense of accomplishment, skill builder, useful and helpful to like individuals. It's also obvious that "The Maker" does this type of work for a living. Being able to store tools and hardware in such a manner is also efficient and safety conscience. Reduces clutter and makes it easy to find item all in a close confined area, not to mention that is a useful tool itself. AND besides all that it's just F**cking cool! Thanks Maker
I really love the idea behind this.
@@willecav
It's completely true. The point is, all this is a waste of money, time and space. With no tools, there's no need for tool storage, a workbench, a workspace or a need to hide clutter or worry about safety. Ever heard of anyone sawing their fingers off buying furniture in a store? I didn't think so.
Tell me, how much have you spent on tools and what have you built for your home - not your workshop or garden - that is even worth the cost of a good cordless drill? My bet is nothing.
This is hands down the best workbench I have ever seen. Putting the table saw in the middle, genius. I wish I didn't build my workbench so I could copy yours. I hope mine breaks.
Thank you Man for this video because of your project i finally made it my own workbench. Little bit different but similar with solitions you done it. I watched this video like 50 times for sure. Simplicity are key to succes. Thank you Man, cheers from Poland 👍
Semplicemente fantastico!!! La professionalità al lavoro!!! Tantissimi complimenti!!!💐
I been watching all the table design videos. And was about to do a extravagant one. But I just changed my mind. This one is so simple works and looks great!!
Please see how he does a very good job: https:

Exactly. This is great.

At first I thought it was a very simple quick build type bench when I saw the ply bench top and simple 4by2 framing. But then he added about a dozen neat features to turn it into a super bench. I particularly like the heavy wood facing block added to the jaw of the vice, giving it dowel holes on the outsides beyond the steel jaw, allowing dowel push blocks to be put in to push against and hold wood. Well done and thankyou
Hey man. I'm going to use this video as my template to build my workbench and I have no experience. I want to have those big chunky legs his has. They make it look really hefty bro. The add-ons and all that good stuff can come later. I will keep his video in one of my workbench playlists on here and refer back to it in time but the bench is the most important thing to begin with. It's very hard to do anything without a larger work surface so I'm gonna build the frame and top, etc to begin with. The shelves, vise, etc can come in a month or so..
Hope u get ur bench built bro. Keep on truckin' lad..
Anyone know the deck detentions for both tables?
Best functional ideas I have come across. You certainly know your stuff. Loved that it was concise and not hours watching cutting boards and screwing screws. Quality of work fabulous. Thanks for posting. Subscribed!
Quality is not fabulous if you use screws instead of wooden joints.

super établi!grande intelligence de conception!!!Bravo👏👏👏
I love the idea of a smaller workbench! He showed putting them on either side of the table saw for cross cuts but you could use it to extend the outfeed table as well. Or you could put benchtop tools on it (like planer or jointer) when using them for extended periods. I think I might build 2 small tables after seeing this. Tomorrow though. I'm busy today.
What size is the top of your table looks great and great idea
🤣👍
ruclips.net/video/3zyYCpOwI3o/видео.html
how is that a smaller workbench? Now you have two tables that still take up the same room as one... and magnets to hold them together? LMAO Maybe electromagnets would work.
FANTASTIC table design and execution! Very practical and great features like the bench dogs and vice with the bench dog holes in top.
Cheers from London England 👍💪😎🏴🙏
This has got to be the best vid for making a shop bench- very nice and enjoyable to watch thank you!
Thank you so much for this great video! I admire your craftsmanship and resourcefulness. You have made two excellent, utilitarian workbenches with just basic power, hand, and measuring tools. I mean, when I see some of these guys who have CNC machines and saws that can cut a full sheet of plywood, here you are outdoing them all, with tools that most woodworking enthusiasts already own!
Brilliant. If I had the room I would build one like that.
Lots of great ideas there. Very handy to have such a lot of your most used items to hand. If I could offer one criticism: woodworkers' chisels are like razors. Reaching for one of those tins could result in a nasty accident. Enclosing the blade end in acrylic would be safer and you could still see which chisel you are reaching for.
Safety Aways!

i thought exactly the same thing!
Greetings from México
My friend, you're nothing but a CHAMPION. I admire you.
Best and most practical table build I've seen so far. Only alteration I would do is put some lockable wheels on the bottom

Very nice build. I love the attention to detail and how you showed everything's purpose. Only bad thing I could think of is you make it look to easy but great job. I'm looking forward to watching more of your builds.

I think he did make things a lot easier. I've seen workbenches really hard to make, I wouldn't even try making them, but I will definitely build something like this, smaller, though.

Absolut cool.
Excellent work. Lots of smart ideas. Simple execution. Well explained... and no irritatingly perky guitar music....
I am a carpenter and joiner and this work bench is just the best I've seen in years! Well done!
You probably don’t watch allot of RUclips, then. This is like a decent HS shop student’s design
@@9009matorres I actually watch a lot of RUclips videos and I have been a carpenter for 40 years. It may be like a HS shop students design as you say but that doesn't detract that its simple to make, efficient and probably of low cost. I really like it.
When I built mine, I put locking casters so I could roll it around in other locations, looks good!
What a great video, one of the best woodworking videos I have seen. I love some of the attention to detail. I am only 3 mins in so far and I'll save the rest for later when I want to be inspired.
Damn... That's actually one of the most down to earth and practical workbench builds I have seen in a long while. Everyone is about making shiny awesome things, but this one... This seems like something I can actually manage to do myself. Thanks man, I think you managed to convince me I can build something like that for myself :)
Best I have seen made yet! Thanks for sharing!
Love the detail of all the add ons and this is a great work table. I made a sturdy basic table that I will adapt to your bits but my only suggestion for improvement is to put castors on the legs so it can be easily moved. I can move it around the garage or into my drive as needed.
Rockler sells detachable casters that lift so you can move it easily. The purpose of the design is to cut down on costs as the casters cost more than the two tables. Just sayin"
This work table is one of the best I’ve seen. Simple and efficient. I like the way you made both tables the same height as your table saw. I’m going to build one for myself.
Can you make the plans available?
Thanks,
Paul
thats what i was thinking very nice but please put up plans for us newbies and materials list.. would much appreciate it.. your workbench is great.
What's the point? You first need to have this workbench in order to build another, so if you already have this workbench, you don't need the plans to make one. 😄
@@Chimel31 what the hell you talkin bout??? U ever heard of working off the ground chublin?

Gracias.

Superb! Just what I was looking for. Easily determined my own dimensions based on viewing your layout. My bench is finished now. Virtually every tool I use on a daily basis is close at hand. Thank you whoever you are!
I agree, best universal bench table I have seen yet.
One could always add a router for underneath also.
Very nice design. I’ll be using many of your features in my ownbuild. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Pure genius, right here! This was enough to make me want to subscribe as a first-time watcher of your channel. It's definitely a place where I can learn lots of useful things. Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE this workbench!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻♥️
Excellent
Love all of it, amazing stuff. Very well thought out
I would not be able to do it but i find your work beautiful, practical and useful.
Seriously the most practical workbench I had seen so far on RUclips!👍👍👍
Many fantastic ideas to improve the layout and functionality of any workshop. Thank you!
What a wonderful work bench!! I wish I have one!! great job
Excelente bancada para trabalhar! Muito bem projetada e bem feita!
Que madeira foi usada ??

Some good ideas here. I am often leery of tables like this that have too many custom storage ideas that can easily become outdated as needs change, but those shown here look easily modified. I have built a number of work stations. Some thoughts:
1. Unless you have the luxury of a LOT of space, a major drawback of these tables is that they are heavy and usually have to stay put. Consider fitting four heavy-duty swiveling and locking casters to the legs so the table can be moved when necessary.
2. That said, casters or no casters you will be lucky indeed if your floor is flat and level enough that the table won’t wobble.
3. The bench dog system is nice, but a yoga mat under your materials will keep them from sliding. Pieces of various shapes and sizes are useful, versatile and cheap.
4. That piece of leather for the face of the vice? Glue it first, then trim with a sharp knife and you will get a flawless fit.
5. If you really want that top to fuse, glue the thing and then reinforce with a pattern of deck screws or pneumatic staples attached while you are standing on the plywood. (These are, of course, installed only on the underside.) If you plan to drill the bench dog holes, drill tiny pilot holes through the top so there won’t be a conflict of nails/staples and dog holes.
6. A number of mentions have been made here about plans. Seriously? The beauty of building it yourself is that every dimension can be adjusted to suit factors such as the user’s height and available space, and even the sizes of building materials around the world. Plus the sizes of components like the plastic storage boxes, which come and go from the marketplace. The basic structure of this bench is simple as can be, and easily copied or modified.
I’ve seen so many workbench ideas. I finally found the right one for me! Thank you for sharing this video!
You don't need to boast when you're the best. Excellence in craftsmanship!
Quite clever, inexpensive, weekend built project. Thanks for sharing!
I love the simplicity and functionality of your design and build. Do you have plans for your workbench which can be purchased as I am keen to build for my workshop. Many thanks in advance.

I’d love to see that too. So simple but elegant. No crazy odds and ends.
POV: By now you've watched around 50 videos of how to build a work bench, yet you're still sitting here and wondering how the hell you're gonna do it owning only a drill and a hand saw + 10 dollars on your bank account.
I just build mine out of pallet wood. I did get lucky and got a job that we had 88 pallets to discard of in the end that had 3-5’ HT pine studs each.
Find a housing community under construction. Go dumpster diving. You'll find all the wood you need.
Me…
So I was thinking free wood from the use of Pallets!!
😅 Indeed, still looking for videos that use minimal tools..I have jigsaw but to make jigsaw station they use different kind of tools
HAHA
Wow incredible bench, an inspiration for when to make one. Thank you sharing with us
I like the idea of aluminum angles to slide plastic boxes. And the drawers underneath bottom shelf Nice work. Thanks
Really a great workbench. One of the best here in RUclips... Congrats!

Wow ! L'établie de mes rêves. Bravo
Bonjour,
Show! 👏👏👏
Good execution. I would add heavy-duty lockable casters, for mobility.
WOW! Most simple useful table build I've seen
your design is shockingly similar to my build. A few things to consider if anyone is feeling inspired. (a) i screwed the bottom sheet of plywood to the 2x4 frame before gluing (b) I used two 2x4s in an L-shape for legs and wrapped those around the outside of the 2x4 frame from "a". (c) i also added a sheet of cheaper sheet-good to the bottom of the top frame from "a". I then added a port for my dust extractor that sucks dust out of the area between the top of the top and the bottom of the top [separated by 2x4s] to allow me to sweep my saw dust into the dog-holes. (d) along the "back" edge of the table I have a 3/4 tall strip of wood that flips over the edge with hinges to give me a backstop that can be folded out of the way. (e) i have a t-track that goes all the way down the center of my bench to give me all sorts of ways to hold things down or add accessories in a snap (f) a front door that folds along a horizontal "seam" as you "lay" it on the floor before you slide it under the bench to keep it out of the way
Great video, design and execution. My only point of contention would be the chisel rack. I would have made it deeper as to not expose the cutting edge to damage and personal injury. However superb video. You Sir are a mastercraftsmen and designer.

Love the functionality of the work bench. Would be nice to have the exact measurements.
The advantage of self-made items is that you can make them according to your needs or limitations

Interestingly ingenious project Total work Bench Functions. Good job
Projeto muito criativo e prático. Parabéns!
Admiring and inspiring planning. Though; 1) The drawers at the bottom may be affected when the floor needs some wet cleaning. 2) The cabinets below may need curtains to protect expensive tools from dust. Well crafted.

Yesss!!!!! Thats what i need!!!! Thank you!!!
How can we get a copy of the plans for building this workbench? It’s amazing!
Plans? Who needs plans? Build it to fit the space available and features you need.
Bear in mind dimensional lumber was used, therefore one just needs to consider length and width. Height should fit your comfort level.
@@shadowgarr7649 indeed but for the beginner woodworker they are very helpful
I like instructions/plans for scaling up or down. The way the video is filmed is the best I’ve watched for a build. If The Maker would sell his plans I’m thinking he would have some cash coming in.
